Diddy trial update: Cassie sobs on stand as her testimony concludes
After the first week of testimony Sean "Diddy" Combs' trial, Cassie's time on the stand ends following harrowing testimony on Combs' alleged abuse.
Misa Hylton is speaking out to explain her attendance at ex-partner Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex-crimes trial.
In an Instagram post on May 17, the fashion designer told followers that she turned out for the embattled rapper's federal trial in support of the son they share together, 31-year-old Justin Combs.
Hylton, who has been using a walker due to an injury, wrote, "When I suffered my injury I had chosen to heal privately but when my son said 'Mommy I need you' I was right there for him walker and all. I'm a MOTHER FIRST, FOR REAL and I am my son's strength and thats just what it is. Plain and Simple."
She continued, "Whoever doesn't understand that just simply isn't in alignment with me or anything that I'm about in life. I'm cool with that. I have a purpose filled life that I live daily. I make impact. I'm not concerned with insecure people attempting to project their insecurities on to me. EVER."

Hylton and Combs welcomed their only child together, Justin Combs, in 1993. The rapper also has six other kids, whom he shares with Kim Porter, Sarah Chapman and Dana Tran.
A lawyer for Hylton previously told USA TODAY that her "attendance at Mr. Combs' trial is strictly in support of her son Justin and his siblings," adding, "During the course of these allegations against Mr. Combs, it has proven to be a very challenging and difficult time for all involved especially his children."

Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. During the first week of testimony in the trial, Combs' ex-girlfriend Casandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine accused him of abuse on the stand over the course of several days.
Hylton previously spoke out to support Ventura Fine after video surfaced showing Combs assaulting Cassie at a hotel. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Hylton said she was "heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her," adding, "I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma."

Amanda Knox, Monica Lewinsky reclaim the red carpet together

Amanda Knox and Monica Lewinsky are reclaiming their stories on the red carpet. The "Waiting to Be Heard" author and the anti-bullying activist posed together on the red carpet Aug. 19 while promoting their new eight-part Hulu series "The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox" (now streaming). For the show's New York City premiere, Knox wore a long, lacy Giambattista Valli Paris dress paired with pink Aquazzura heels, while Lewinsky stunned in a gold dress and pumps. It's been nearly two decades since Knox, then a 20-year-old student at the University of Washington, traveled 5,600 miles to study abroad in Perugia, Italy, about two hours north of Rome. Knox moved into an apartment, which she'd share with Meredith Kercher, a 21-year-old British student. The two had become friends, but police arrested Knox and charged her with murdering Kercher. The new Hulu show follows Knox's nightmare journey, spending nearly four years in an Italian prison before being acquitted in 2011. She'd be found guilty (again) in 2014 and finally exonerated in 2015. Lewinsky, too, has faced the scrutiny of mainstream media's sometimes harsh light. The media painted the former White House intern, who had an affair with President Bill Clinton in the 1990s while he was in office, as a "little tart" (The Wall Street Journal) and "a ditsy, predatory White House intern" (The New York Times). Amanda Knox: 'Twisted Tale' asks, 'in the wake of trauma, how do you rebuild your life?' Monica Lewinsky produced 'Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox' on Hulu Over the past decade, though, Lewinsky reclaimed the affair's public fallout as a contributing writer to Vanity Fair with a viral 2015 TED talk about public shaming. In more recent years, Lewinsky – who is credited as an executive producer on "Twisted Tale" – has rebounded as a rising producer in Hollywood. Knox said that Lewinsky "held my hand through this experience because she's been a trailblazer in this regard of a woman who had her worst experience used to bury her and turn her into a punchline," adding that she came "back and reclaimed her sense of self and her purpose in life and didn't allow all of these external forces to diminish her." She first stepped into the industry in September 2021 as a producer on Ryan Murphy's "Impeachment: American Crime Story," partly inspired by events in her own life. That fall, she executive-produced the HBO documentary "15 Minutes of Shame." "From my own experience, the first step was surviving," Lewinsky told USA TODAY. "Holding on to the hope that things can change. It won't be as bad as it is in the eye of the storm forever." Knox told USA TODAY that Lewinsky's reclamation made her believe that "there was perhaps a path forward for me in this world." So Knox asked to meet, and the pair later became friends. When Lewinsky learned four years later that Knox wanted to adapt her 2013 memoir, she reached out. The rest is history (or a Hulu series out now).

Jake Paul to face lightweight boxing champion Gervonta Davis on Nov. 14

Jake Paul will face Gervonta "Tank" Davis in a boxing match on Nov. 14 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Netflix announced Wednesday. The bout is expected to be the biggest test to date for Paul, a social media star with 28 million followers on Instagram and 21 million followers on YouTube. Paul (12-1) became a professional boxer in January 2020 and has impressed despite limited experience in the ring. He has faced criticism for his competition, however. Most of his opponents have been nonboxers — a former NBA Slam Dunk champion in Nate Robinson, and MMA fighters like Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren and Mike Perry. He beat a 59-year-old Mike Tyson, and his lone loss came to boxer Tommy Fury, the half-brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Paul, 28, is coming off a unanimous decision against former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June. Davis is without question Paul's most heralded opponent. The 30-year-old WBA lightweight champion is one of the sport's top talents, amassing a 30-0-1 record. Though he stands just 5-foot-5, Davis is known for his vicious punching power and has 28 knockouts in his career. He most recently retained his belt with a majority decision draw against Lamond Roach Jr. in March. Davis' boxing career was in jeopardy after he was arrested on July 11 in an alleged domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend. According to the Miami-Dade County Clerk's Office, a misdemeanor battery charge against Davis was dropped. Paul vs. Davis is the latest boxing match promoted by Netflix as it gets more involved in live sports. Paul's bout with Tyson last November, for example, peaked at 65 million streams, according to the streaming service. Netflix is also promoting Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez on Sept. 13, and has WWE Raw and multiple NFL games on Christmas Day. Not everyone in the boxing world is happy Paul vs. Davis is happening. Ryan Garcia, a former WBC interim lightweight champion who lost to Davis in 2023, wrote on social media that "boxing is officially the WWE … integrity of the sport is getting ruined every day."

Are Sean and Allyshia Still Together Post-‘Bachelor in Paradise'?

Sean McLaughlin and Allyshia Gupta may have left Paradise together—but did they stay together? Ever since the two self-eliminated on the latest episode of Bachelor in Paradise season 10, fans have been trying to figure out whether the couple is still going I'm sorry to say that things aren't looking good for them. Let's review the evidence, shall we? First, there was Allyshia's Bachelor Happy Hour interview on August 7, where she talked about how things might have been different if she'd arrived in Costa Rica sooner. 'I do think that had I come in Day 1 or Day 2, like earlier days, I do think that Dale [Moss] and I probably would have ended up coupled up,' she said. Sean's response? After Bachelor Happy Hour posted a clip from the episode on IG, Sean slid into the comments to write, 'Oh interesting'...before reportedly unfollowing Allyshia and removing all photos of them together from his grid. Then, on August 12, when asked by Us Weekly where she and Sean stood following her comment about Dale, Allyshia said they were on 'great terms'—though she didn't actually clarify whether they were still a couple. As she explained, 'I can see why he might feel like he was a second option, which wasn't the case whatsoever. We have a real relationship and I think that's where he has his feelings hurt a little bit because it's more than just a TV show.' She also mentioned that she was 'actually FaceTiming him before coming into this interview,' so there's that! The next twist came on August 15, when Reality Steve posted a new batch of spoilers on Instagram, which included the fact that (supposedly) Sean and Allyshia are 'not together' anymore. But the biggest clue yet came on August 19, when Sean got his turn on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. During his appearance, he seemed to suggest that he and Allyshia tried to make things work post-Paradise but eventually split. 'When we got sent home, I was so excited,' Sean said. 'We were going back to Tampa together. We had talked about leaving in a relationship well prior to us getting eliminated.' He continued, 'I thought I found the most amazing person. I was incredibly excited about our relationship. I couldn't wait to get back to Tampa—' but! Just as he was about to seemingly provide an update on where he and Allyshia currently stand, host Joe Amabile cut him off, saying they couldn't 'touch on where your relationship status is now.' Mmkay! Stay tuned for more deets as we have them.
