Lorraine Kelly makes furious decision to 'leave' ITV amid brutal bloodbath cuts
Lorraine Kelly has hosted her show on ITV for 15 years but it seems she is finally ready to say goodbye to the broadcaster, according to an insider. Lorraine Kelly is planning to leave ITV when her contract runs out next year, an insider has claimed. The 65-year-old broadcaster was left furious earlier this year when ITV announced her programme will only run for 30 weeks of the year in 2026, down from the normal 52. Lorraine's show is set to be cut in half and will run from only 9:30am until 10am from January, which Lorraine expressed frustration about in May. However, it's now reported that the Scots presenter has decided to call it quits when her contract ends next year. A consultation period, which will determine who will be affected by ITV's brutal financial cuts, is currently underway and although Lorraine's role appears to be in the all clear, the Scots star is reportedly ready to make her exit after hosting her show for 15 years. The bloodbath cuts may affect Lorraine's current popular stand-ins Christine Lampard and Ranvir Singh, as the presenters might see their appearances fronting the show being slashed, the Mirror reports. A source told Mail Online today: "Lorraine sees it as the end. She's got a year left on her contract which she will honour, but beyond that there are no plans for her to stay. She will be leaving. "Of course, she will be fine, she has loads of money. But some of the people who work for her have done so for many years and have put up with her demands for a long, long time. Yet they will struggle to ever get another job in the television industry." Lorraine, who originally hails from Glasgow, celebrated her 40th year in television last year with a special episode of the morning show which follows Good Morning Britain in ITV'S line up. Production staff on these shows, in addition to further ITV daytime programming, are being massively affected by the changes, it is believed. One employee branded the situation as "horrendous" as they claimed "the little people" at the west London-based broadcaster were suffering. They told Mail Online: "All the big names are staying while the little people get the boot. It is horrendous. "You'd think if you wanted to save a big lump of cash you could get rid of some of the presenters. There are loads of them!" Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The veteran broadcaster will continue to front Good Morning Britain for a further six months at least after recently signing a new, short-term contract, according to reports. Madeley, originally from Romford, east London, frequently presents Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid, whose role is also said to be safe.

Huge Emmerdale star QUITS soap - and will be written out as character makes a 'fatal mistake that exposes their true colours'
A huge Emmerdale star has quit the ITV soap - and will be written out as his character makes a 'fatal mistake that exposes their true colours'. Actor Oliver Farnworth, 43, has played John Sugden in the Dales since 2024. In recent weeks his alter-ego has been involved in a bit of drama, and last month Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) battered his long lost brother John to the ground in a brutal attack. Since Robert returned to the village earlier this year, the pair haven't seen eye to eye as John has tied the knot with Robert's ex Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). After 144 episodes on Emmerdale as the paramedic practitioner, he's ready to take on other roles. A source told The Sun: 'It's the beginning of the end for John. Actor Oliver Farnworth, 43, has played John Sugden in the Dales since August 2024. 'He's got away with so much but he's about to make a fatal mistake that sees him exposed for what he is. 'Obviously Oliver knew that a character like John had a shelf life and that's rapidly approaching. 'He's loved his time on the show but there's still plenty of twists and turns coming before he departs for good.' His alter-ego is going to be involved in a huge storyline. The source added: 'Obviously, Oliver knew that a character like John had a shelf life and that's rapidly approaching. 'He's loved his time on the show, but there's still plenty of twists and turns coming before he departs for good.' Daily Mail contacted ITV for comment. Oliver first joined the popular soap back in August last year. Ahead of joining the show, he said: 'I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. 'The show has such a rich history, and the Sugden family is integral to that. 'I'm looking forward to bringing my character to life and working with such a talented and dedicated team.' Producer Laura Shaw added: 'We are thrilled to have an actor with Oliver's talent and presence join the Emmerdale family. 'The Sugden's have always been central to Emmerdale, and introducing a new member opens up exciting possibilities for future storylines. 'Mysterious John's arrival will no doubt create a stir in the village for Victoria and the wider community.' Emmerdale isn't the only programme that Oliver has appeared in. The actor starred in Hollyoaks as Will Hackett between 2006 and 2007. He also played Neville Cartwright in The Royal, as well as Tom Davis in Doctors. The star also played Florian Dunpont in Mr Selfridge in 2014. He starred in Coronation Street as Andy Carver between 2014 and 2017. Oliver also starred in Love Type D in 2019. The soap legend is currently in a relationship with EastEnders star Samanth Womack.

Tiger Woods tipped to make investment in English club after watching Tom Brady's Birmingham transformation
GOLF legend Tiger Woods has been tipped to cross over to football and follow in other celebrities' footsteps by taking over a club. NFL great Tom Brady has enjoyed success with Birmingham ever since investing as minority owner in 2023 with the club currently in the Championship and considered likely to return to the Premier League. 2 2 Wrexham have also experienced a tremendous rise ever since Hollywood celebrity pair Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were announced as co-owners in 2020. Reynolds and McElhenney led the Red Dragons from the National League all the way up to the Championship where they face Brady 's Birmingham. Blackburn legend Matt Jansen believes there will be more famous people following that trend. Jansen, 47, suggested Woods and NBA legend Michael Jordan could soon be next. The former striker would especially like the PGA great to try his luck in football and strongly advised him to consider Manchester United or his beloved Blackburn amid their ongoing ownership dramas. Jansen told 'I think Tom Brady is a good one. Maybe Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, people who've been at the top of their sport. "The number one in their sport will always be impressive, and can relate a little bit more to football than the music industry. ' It could be any club for, couldn't it? But the likes of Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods would probably be looking at Liverpool, Chelsea or Man Utd, those kinds of clubs. "They're that big a star. So is Tom Brady, but Birmingham are really putting their money where their mouth is. I think they'll be a force next season. ' They could target clubs in the EFL. Look at what Wrexham started and they've been a success. "It'll be other people putting it to the likes of Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, rather than them approaching clubs. 'They'll see whether it's worthwhile investing their time. It's certainly worked for the two at Wrexham, and it's worked for Tom Brady at the moment. How far it'll go, who knows? 'I could see them buying Manchester United. The fans are unhappy with [Sir Jim] Ratcliffe at the minute, and there are protests. "You couldn't put it past somebody like that coming in, and his aura could bring success. ' They'd certainly welcome them at Blackburn. They're in a bit of a mess with the Venky's at the moment. "It's a sorry place compared to the great days from Jack Walker's era when I was playing. It's fallen quite far, and they'd definitely welcome some positive publicity. 'I'm a big Tiger Woods fan, so for me a documentary of him at Blackburn or Manchester United would beat any before it. "Woods is a global superstar and it would certainly be one series I'd be looking forward to. It would be incredible if it happened.'
