WWE Leaks Huge 'WrestleMania 41' Matches That Never Happened
Details have emerged on pitched "WWE WrestleMania 41" matches that didn't see the light of day.
Another "WrestleMania" weekend is in the books. This year's two-night PLE featured a major storyline twist and a women's title match that many are considering an instant classic. There was also a record-breaking moment at the conclusion of "WrestleMania 41" Sunday when John Cena surpassed Ric Flair by earning his 17th world championship reign.

While WWE settled on two final cards for its biggest weekend of the year, there were multiple ideas the company was mulling over. In a trailer for the "WWE Unreal" series, there was a clip that showed a whiteboard with a slew of pitches for "WrestleMania 41." That scene took place in December, and it shows just how different "The Grandest Stage of Them All" could've been on Saturday and Sunday.

One match idea on the board was a tag team battle between The Wyatt Sicks and The Judgment Day. Injuries seemingly derailed those plans. PW Nexus reported that the match had been discussed prior to the release of the trailer.
A surprising match that had been pitched was a WWE Women's Championship clash between Nia Jax and Jade Cargill. It had also been reported that WWE was considering possibly having Tiffany Stratton cash in her "Money in the Bank" briefcase at "WrestleMania." She ultimately used the briefcase to win the title from Jax on the Jan. 3 episode of "WWE SmackDown."

Another interesting match possibility involved the World Heavyweight Championship. In an alternate universe, fans would've seen Gunther defend his title against CM Punk and Seth Rollins. This would've ruled out the heavily praised ending to night one of "WrestleMania 41," which saw Paul Heyman betray Roman Reigns and Punk in favor of Rollins.
Even music star Bad Bunny was considered for a match against Dominik Mysterio. It ended up being a big "WrestleMania" for Mysterio anyway, as he captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

WWE's 'The Miz' suggests Chiefs star for American Gladiators, talks Browns fandom
WWE's 'The Miz' suggests Chiefs star for American Gladiators, talks Browns fandom This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin about his participation in this year's American Century Championship, which will take place July 9-13 at Edgewood Tahoe, his earliest memory of the Cleveland Browns fandom, and hosting the upcoming American Gladiators reboot while name dropping Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce as an ideal Gladiator. The Kelce brothers are confirmed to be Miz's competition again this year, as he will seek a better finish than last year's tournament. Miz is an Ohio native and a die-hard Browns fan, having witnessed the franchise's ups and downs. Cleveland's last divisional round postseason appearance was against Kansas City in 2020, when they lost at Arrowhead Stadium 17-22. He recalled his earliest memory of the team as a child attending school, singing about their quarterback, Bernie Kosar. "I believe I was in, like, fifth grade, and I was going to school in the bus, and we were just singing, Bernie, Bernie, oh baby Super Bowl," said Miz, "So, yeah, I remember that verbatim, and I also remember us not making it to the Super Bowl. I believe that year was either the fumble or the drive. I'm not sure which one, but those are the two things that really screwed us." The former WWE champion was recently named host of the upcoming reboot of American Gladiators on Prime Video. "I can't wait. I think, with this show, we're gonna, you know, give a nod to what, what American Gladiators was in the past, and elevate it and put it, you know, with 100% and go literally, ball to the wall, if you will." said Miz, "I mean, American Gladiators is a staple, and now to be the host of American Gladiators. It's an absolute honor, and I take it very, very seriously. I want to make sure that this show is everything people imagine it to be and more, and it will be. I can't wait for people to meet the Gladiators. I can't wait for people to see the events, and I can't wait for people to see me as the host." During a recent appearance on NFL Network's Good Morning Football, Miz suggested that Chiefs star Travis Kelce would make a great addition to the show as a Gladiator. "I'm gonna go with two tight ends. I'm gonna go, George Kittle, I'm gonna go with Travis Kelce, because of personality," said Miz during the broadcast, "A Gladiator has to have a great personality, and got to be out there, not only do that be physically dominating but they got to be someone, either you're root for, or you're gonna boo kind of like a WWE superstar." The annual tournament awards $750,000 in prize money, much of which the celebrity players donate to local and national charities. Over the years, nearly $8 million has been donated to non-profit causes. Network television exposure on NBC, along with a first-place prize of $150,000, makes the celebrity tournament one of the most prestigious in the golf world.

After announcing that his WWE contract wasn't being renewed last Sunday, R-Truth is seemingly already back with the company. In the closing moments of tonight's Money in the Bank premium live event, a hooded figure jumped the barricade and attacked John Cena. The figure revealed himself to be R-Truth as a majority of the WWE Universe rejoiced. But what just happened? Was last week's announcement a work? Or did WWE listen to their fanbase and roster and choose to make things right? Advertisement According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Truth is back with the company and will be going by Ron Killings going forward. At least that's the initial word. R-Truth Shocks Fans With WWE Return at 'Money in the Bank 2025'
R-Truth Shocks Fans With WWE Return at 'Money in the Bank 2025' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. R-Truth stunned WWE fans at the conclusion of "Money in the Bank 2025." In the main event of WWE's latest PLE, Cody Rhodes teamed with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso to take on Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena and Logan Paul. Advertisement Cena was on the verge of cheating to defeat Rhodes and Uso. The champion nailed Rhodes with his championship when the referee was checking on Uso and Paul following a table spot. A man in a hoodie tackled Cena and rained down punches. The mystery man turned out to be R-Truth. He then blasted Cena with the title, allowing "The American Nightmare" to hit Cross Rhodes for the win. R-Truth recently announced on social media that WWE chose not to renew his contract. The news was met with overwhelming negativity from fans and even members of the roster. Following the news, fans chanted for R-Truth during several WWE shows, including MITB and "Worlds Collide." The longtime veteran even received chants during the "TNA Against All Odds" show. Advertisement Several reporters, such as Cory Hays of PW Nexus, have taken to social media to reiterate that WWE's decision to not renew R-Truth's deal wasn't a swerve. That would indicate that WWE realized that R-Truth is still valuable to the product and the two sides were able to reach some sort of understanding. It was reported that TNA had interest in signing R-Truth prior to MITB. While R-Truth might appear in TNA again given the partnership with WWE, it would seem that he is back under contract with WWE.
