The Spice Girls' iconic hit 'Wannabe' turns 29 today. The 1990s anthem was released in the UK on July 8, 1996, and went on to become the group's most popular song of all time. It reached No. 1 in the UK and stayed there for seven weeks. The upbeat track also topped the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S.
The Spice Girls went on to dominate the charts in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits like 'Say You'll Be There,' '2 Become 1,' 'Mama' / 'Who Do You Think You Are,' 'Spice Up Your Life,' 'Too Much,' 'Viva Forever,' 'Goodbye,' and 'Holler' / 'Let Love Lead the Way.'The group officially disbanded in February 2001 but have, by all accounts, remained close. While a long-rumored reunion tour has been dangled for years, all five Spice Girls did reunite for Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday party in April 2024.
So, what are the Spice Girls up to now? Here's what the ladies have been sharing on social media lately:
Victoria Beckham (51), aka 'Posh Spice,' recently celebrated her 26th wedding anniversary with husband David Beckham.
In a sweet social media post featuring the couple kissing in a pool, the fashion designer wrote,'Another year, another chapter in our love story.♥️I'm so proud of the beautiful family and life we've built together. You and our four incredible children complete me. I love you so much @davidbeckham xx Here's to 26 years!! Xx'
Melanie Brown (50), aka 'Scary Spice,' married hairdresser Rory McPhee over the weekend at St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Celebrity guests included Cara Delevingne, Daisy Lowe, and fellow Spice Girl Emma 'Baby Spice' Bunton.
Mel B shared a photo of herself with a kilt-wearing McPhee, the bride wearing a short white jacket over her gown that read: 'Just Married.'
Emma Bunton (49), aka 'Baby Spice,' looked pretty in pink at Mel B's London wedding, where she represented the Spice Girls in style.
The singer and broadcaster shared her wedding-day look on social media, which fans called 'absolutely stunning.'
Melanie Chisholm (51), aka 'Sporty Spice,' is living up to her nickname well into her 50s. Also known as 'Mel C,' she's built a career as a DJ, TV judge, and author.
In a recent video post, she showed off her fitness, powering through an intense gym workout alongside a training partner.
'We train hard,' she captioned the clip.
Geri Halliwell Horner (52), aka 'Ginger Spice,' recently attended the premiere of the new F1 film alongside her husband, former race car driver Christian Horner, and the film's star, Brad Pitt.
One fan perfectly summed up the moment, 'Ginger Spice next to Brad Pitt is just making my '90s heart sing.'🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

Official tartan unveiled for Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games

A new tartan has been designed for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026. The official tartan, designed by award-winning Scottish fashion designer Siobhan Mackenzie, was launched by the Glasgow 2026 Organising Company and has been registered with the Scottish Register of Tartans. Siobhan has made a name for herself reinventing classic tartans into contemporary fashion, with her designs having previously been worn by huge stars such as Justin Bieber and Alan Cumming. She said: "I feel honoured to be designing a tartan for such a momentous occasion in my home country. "When I graduated as a fashion design student in 2014, I took on a role as a tailoring technician for the technical officials of The Games. "At that point, designing the official tartan for the Games seemed like a pipedream, so this is truly a full circle moment. "I love weaving stories into tartan design, and while many people might be expecting a blue or green base, I looked at Glasgow's rich history and felt inspired by the shipbuilding stories. "This led to a steel grey base with the Glasgow 2026 colours woven through in my signature style. "It's incredibly important to me that every thread of this project is made in Scotland, and I'll be working with local textiles and manufacturers to bring this design to life. "I can't wait to see it across next year's Games.' A thread count of 74 represents the nations and territories taking part in the Games, while the dark blue section has been increased to 26 in homage to the Games which will take place in Glasgow from July 23 to August 2. Official Glasgow 2026 tartan merchandise will also be made available for fans. Read more: Sports venue undergoing 'major upgrades' for Commonwealth Games Phil Batty OBE, chief executive of Glasgow 2026, said: "Designing and creating tartan is a revered part of Scotland's heritage, and we're honoured that Siobhan Mackenzie is weaving it into Glasgow 2026's story with a bespoke Games tartan, designed in Scotland. "Siobhan is an expert in her field and has collaborated closely with us throughout the production process. "This special tartan draws inspiration from Glasgow's Clyde-built history, and she has carefully selected the threads of wool to celebrate the Games with this one-off tartan. "As Glasgow 2026 fast approaches with our one-year-to-go milestone next week, this tartan is a sign of what's to come next summer and will be part of the fabric of Glasgow 2026 across the city."

Bruno Mars's Debut Album Reaches A Landmark, 15 Years On

Bruno Mars's Doo-Wops & Hooligans returns to the Official Albums chart, hitting 400 weeks on the ... More U.K. list — easily the longest run of his career. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 02: Bruno Mars performs onstage during the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards at Arena on February 02, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo byfor The Recording Academy) Bruno Mars didn't just make his name known with his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans, he produced one of the most successful pop projects of all time. The full-length turned him into a superstar thanks to mega-hits like "Just the Way You Are," "Grenade," and "Marry You," among others, and the project still resonates with a huge population. Nearly 15 years after it dropped, fans are still consuming both the collection and its tracks in massive numbers. As the bestselling title returns to one tally in the United Kingdom, Mars reaches a milestone he's never seen before. Doo-Wops & Hooligans Returns Doo-Wops & Hooligans reenters the Official Albums chart this week, the U.K.'s ranking of the most consumed full-lengths and EPs. The list blends both sales and streaming activity to generate a clear snapshot of total consumption, while separate rankings also exist for pure sales and streaming. This week, Mars lands at No. 96 on the chart, and Doo-Wops & Hooligans hits an impressive 400 weeks spent on the competitive roster. Bruno Mars's Longest-Running Album by Far Doo-Wops & Hooligans is Mars's first project to live on the Official Albums chart for 400 weeks. It's still his only release to earn a triple-digit stay, and it stands out as the longest-running success of his career by a significant margin. His follow-up, Unorthodox Jukebox, is his second-longest-running title, with 85 weeks on the tally. More Weeks Than All His Other Albums Combined To date, Mars has released only four albums, including a joint effort with Anderson .Paak under the name Silk Sonic. The three most recent projects — Unorthodox Jukebox, 24K Magic, and An Evening With Silk Sonic — have collectively spent fewer than 200 weeks on the Official Albums chart. That means Doo-Wops & Hooligans has now spent more than twice as long on the list as all of Mars's other albums combined. Streaming Activity Powers the Comeback At the moment, Doo-Wops & Hooligans doesn't appear on any of the U.K.'s sales-focused rankings, but it does land on the Official Albums Streaming chart. The tally highlights the most successful projects on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, and this week, the debut set lifts from No. 87 to No. 81. Streams on those platforms appear to be largely responsible for the album's continued success and its exciting return to the Official Albums chart.
