Sharon Osbourne's heartbreaking health revelation just weeks before Ozzy's passing
Sharon Osbourne is mourning the loss of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, who died at the age of 76 just weeks after performing his final gig in his home city of Birmingham.
The rocker's family paid tribute to a "beloved" husband and father, who passed away "surrounded by love. Sharon, 72, dedicated herself to caring for her husband during his final years, as the Black Sabbath frontman battled Parkinson's disease along with other health challenges.
Music manager Sharon has also been candid about her own health struggles, recently sharing a heartbreaking revelation about her previous battle with colon cancer, the Mirror reports.
Back in the early 2000's, life was a lot for Sharon who had to juggle motherhood with the added pressure of being one of the most recognisable reality TV stars on the planet.
Long before The Kardashians took over reality TV, fans were captivated by The Osbournes, which showcased the highs and lows of life in the Osbournes' Beverly Hills mansion.
The hugely popular series starred Ozzy, Sharon, and two of their children, Kelly, 40, and Jack, 39, while their daughter Aimee, 41, chose not to take part.
London-born Sharon was a natural onscreen and viewers all over the world warmed to her no-nonsense matriarch. As she continued to grow as a reality star, Sharon found herself having to deal with a devastating colon cancer diagnosis in front of the entire world.
The fiercely protective mum was first diagnosed in the summer of 2002, the same year The Osbournes debuted on MTV.
She did everything possible to shield her children from the heartbreaking and painful realities of the disease, which had spread to her lymph nodes.
In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, Sharon was questioned on why she still continued to work during her cancer diagnosis.
She replied: "Because I didn't want my kids and my husband to know how sick I was. When you say 'cancer', everybody always thinks 'death'. And you've got to remember it was 23 years ago."
The former X Factor judge continued: "At that point, cancer wasn't the same as it is now. So everybody always thought it was a death sentence and I didn't want my kids to have fear constantly surrounding them. I didn't want it."
Sharon, then 49, didn't hesitate to share her cancer journey on camera, with the show capturing everything from her chemotherapy sessions to her choice to visit Cher's wig maker after losing her hair.
While they presented a strong front publicly, Ozzy later revealed his deep fears for Sharon's life in an interview with Classic Rock magazine.
He revealed: "I thought she was going to die. I never knew anybody that had survived cancer. As far as I was concerned, a patient plus cancer equals death. But my wife is a very strong woman."
Thankfully, Sharon went on to make a full recovery and started her own cancer program - the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program - at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles in August 2024.

On Wednesday, MailOnline revealed that an air ambulance was called to Osbourne's multi-million-pound country home as paramedics battled to save his life. The Thames Valley air ambulance landed in a field close to Welders House, the singer's Grade II listed mansion on Tuesday morning at around 10.30am. It's believed that calls from Welders House had led call handlers to believe that the Black Sabbath singer's life was in the balance.

Sources told the Mail on Sunday that William and Kate might be considering the 18th Century estate. It was the favourite home of Edward VIII before he abdicated to marry Wallis Simpson.
