Sunaina Roshan Shares Her Mobility And Stretching Routine Before Exercise
'This is the routine that helps me stay,' Sunaina captioned the video that showed her performing her routine movements under the guidance of a fitness instructor.
The video shows Sunaina doing 'warm-up', that is, mobility exercises before strength training, and 'cool-down,' that is, lower body stretches to wind down after the workout.
Warm-up exercise before workout
Mobility exercises should be part of a good warm-up before strength training to get your muscles and joints ready for the workout and lower your chance of injury. These exercises improve range of motion, stimulate the muscles you will be using, and increase blood flow.
Arm circles, leg swings, torso twists, hip circles, shoulder rolls, knee bends, leg lifts, are some of the warm-up mobility exercises that should be performed before intense strength training.
Cool-down exercise after workout
Cool-down exercises are essential for a safe and efficient workout recovery. They aid in reducing muscle soreness, increasing flexibility, and gradually lowering body temperature and heart rate. Light aerobic exercises like running or walking are examples, followed by static stretches that focus on the main muscle groups.
Quad stretch, hamstring stretch, shoulder stretch, knee-to-chest, triceps stretch, spinal twist, and butterfly stretch are among the common cool-down movements that should be performed post strength training exercises.

Woman dramatically reduces face fat with this simple diet and exercise routine: ‘Cut out dairy completely'
Many people struggle with stubborn face fat that won't go away despite diet and exercise. While spot reduction isn't usually possible, some lifestyle tweaks can help slim down the face naturally over time. A woman named Anushka Vyas opened up about her personal journey and shared the simple steps she followed to reduce face fat dramatically. (Also read: Woman who lost 30 kg without hitting gym shares how she lost face fat: 'Facial exercises can help with toning' ) Check out simple lifestyle changes to help slim down your face. (Instagram/@anushkavyas4) In her July 30 Instagram post, Anushka shared the diet and exercise routine that helped her achieve a slimmer, more sculpted face. Mouth breathing When you breathe through your mouth subconsciously, it puts constant pressure on your jaw because your tongue rests on the floor of your mouth instead of the roof (which happens during nose breathing). This can create a wider, broader look and distort your usual facial anatomy. Non-veg foods to eat: Grilled chicken breast (at least 250-300 grams for satiety) Eggs (preferably whites, but half yolks are acceptable) Salmon or tuna (rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help with skin turgidity and overall skin health, making skin tighter) Avoid meats in curries, as they might contain high sodium and oil content. Prefer grilled meats during your transformation period. Vegetarian foods to eat: Substitute refined maida or regular wheat with grains like quinoa, buckwheat, jawar, and millets. Cut out dairy completely Incorporate high-fibre foods like spinach, kale, beetroot, berries, and apples; these keep you fuller for longer and help avoid unnecessary snacking. Include lean proteins such as low-fat paneer, tofu, moong dal, seitan, and boiled chickpeas. Load up on salads and use light, healthy salad dressings. Avoid artificial sugar for at least 3 months! Hard foods to eat: Foods that are harder to chew and take longer to eat: Raw cucumber Raw carrots Raw coconut Raw celery Corn on the cob Nuts: almonds, pistachios, walnuts Sugar-free chewing gum (in moderation; can sometimes help) Detox juice recipe: One slice of petha (winter squash) 1 tsp turmeric (haldi) Juice of half a cucumber One twig of meetha neem (curry leaves) Note: This juice is a 'superfood' add-on to an already consistent, clean diet combined with regular exercise, which should include moderate cardio and at least occasional weight or resistance training. 29-year-old woman with ‘healthiest diet' shares she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer: ‘My body started giving signs'
In a world where clean eating and health trends dominate social media, many believe that following the 'healthiest diet' guarantees wellness. But sometimes, even the best intentions can't prevent serious illness. A 29-year-old woman, Monika Choudhary, who strictly adhered to clean eating, was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. In her July 30 Instagram post, she shares the factors she believes contributed to her diagnosis. Monika Choudhary reflects on her cancer diagnosis, highlighting the hidden dangers of stress and neglecting physical health. (Representative image)(Freepik) How stress and sedentary lifestyle affect Monika's health Monika opens up about her health journey, sharing how despite her "healthy" lifestyle, the pressures of work took a hidden toll on her wellbeing. "I've always been a focused person, especially when it comes to my health. I used to eat healthy and take good care of my diet. I never liked fried or oily food," she says. But when she started working on her own website, Monika admits, 'I didn't realise how demanding and all-consuming it would become.' She advises that the long hours, endless screen time, constant deadlines, and stress "slowly started to take a toll on me mentally and physically." Monika describes how her days became sedentary. "I wasn't moving much, I barely stepped outside, and I completely lost touch with my physical routine." This was a "huge shift" from her earlier lifestyle when "evening runs were a part of my everyday routine. They were my escape, my therapy." 'My body started giving signs' As work became more intense, Monika says she kept pushing her health aside. 'I told myself I'd get back to it 'soon' but that 'soon' never came.' She shares how her body sent warning signs that she ignored, "Slowly, my body started giving signs like fatigue, uneasiness, discomfort but I dismissed them, blaming it all on work pressure or a lack of sleep." Then, the life-changing diagnosis, "stage-4 colorectal cancer. A shocking moment that changed everything." Reflecting on her journey, Monika reveals, "Looking back now, I realise this wasn't just about bad luck. It was a result of stress, burnout, and complete physical neglect over time." "I learned, in the hardest way possible, that no ambition is worth compromising your health. Our body always keeps the score and it eventually demands attention, one way or another," she concludes.
