Eminem Fires Back at ‘Silver' Rhyme Challenge With Epic X Response
The rap legend was challenged earlier this week after the X account UberFacts posted, "There's no word in English that rhymes with silver."
LL Cool J's Rock the Bells platform upped the ante by tagging Eminem with the message, "Eminem you have 24 hours!"
The Detroit MC didn't need that long to think of words. Within hours, he posted a sprawling rhyme spree on the platform formerly known as Twitter. He listed dozens of near and slant rhymes for the difficult word.

"Silver pilfer kill fer Gilbert's still hurts steel shirts Bill Burr milf word off kilter no filter chill brrrr feel burn still slur will stir Trent Dilfer Val Kilmer still third shield her he'll squirt Steven Spielberg Lil twerp Wilshire She'll purr kill birds milk curd feel worth real nerd Stan's documentary I liked your film sir," Eminem wrote in a single rapid-fire post.
This isn't the first time Eminem tackled the world "silver." On his 2020 track "Little Engine" from the album Music to Be Murdered By, Em slipped in the line: "My flow still a (Psycho) psycho killer (Killer) / (Nitro) Hi ho, Silver / Similes and idioms giddy up."
Despite linguists often noting that "silver" has no perfect rhymes in standard English, Eminem's tweet was a masterclass in how creative phrasing, slant rhymes, and proper nouns can enable an elite rapper to find ways to rhyme near-impossible words.

Woman Chooses Baby Name but It's 'Become Pretty Clear' Husband Is No Fan
In a post shared to Reddit, the woman writes that she and her husband "have been going back and forth on names for months" NEED TO KNOW A woman who will soon give birth says she's settled on a baby name — but her husband remains unconvinced In a post on Reddit, she writes that there is one name that she "absolutely loves" Her husband, however, doesn't like it — and now she wonders if it's worth fighting over A mom-to-be says she's decided on a baby name — but her husband isn't enthusiastic about her choice. In a post shared to Reddit, the woman writes that she and her husband "have been going back and forth on names for months." "There's one name I absolutely love; Wilson. From the first time I said it out loud, it just felt like it fit our son perfectly," she writes. When she initially brought it up to her husband, she writes, he "didn't shoot it down right away." "He said he didn't love it as a first name, but he'd be okay using it as a middle name. I was a little disappointed, but I agreed because I wanted to be flexible and make sure we both felt good about the name," she adds. She continues: "The problem is, recently he's been brainstorming other options for both the first and middle name, and it's become pretty clear he doesn't want Wilson anywhere at all. On top of that, his family has made a few comments about it being a 'bad' or 'weird' name, which honestly stings." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. "To me, Wilson isn't just a random choice," she writes. "It's a name I feel genuinely connected to, and I thought the middle-name compromise was a fair way to include it without him feeling like it was forced. Now it feels like even that compromise is gone, and like my preferences don't matter in the process anymore." Now, she writes that she feels hurt, and wonders if she should "just let it go entirely" or keep fighting for the name she wants. But Reddit users say the woman needs to accept a compromise. "Baby names should be agreed on by both parents. You may be drawn to Wilson, but your husband is not. This isn't something to be hurt over because it's nothing against you personally," writes one commenter. Adds another: "You absolutely get a say in the baby's name, but the baby's father gets an equal say, and he doesn't like Wilson. You have to let it go. It can be tedious and annoying to come up with a name you both genuinely like, but the exercise is worth it." Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

Action Park opens 2 iconic water park rides just in time before Labor Day weekend
The Cannonball Falls and Tarzan Swings rides are up and running at the northwestern New Jersey waterpark once famously known as Action Park after a decade-long absence. Mountain Creek Waterpark unveiled both rides on Tuesday after a soft opening over the weekend, officials said. Initially, the updated versions of both rides were scheduled to return in early July but the process was delayed pending reviews by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, which regulates amusement parks rides. A spokesperson for the department told NJ Advance Media on Tuesday that both rides had been inspected and cleared for public use. Cannonball Falls features two slides, known as the Root Slide and Rock Slide, while the Tarzan Swings consists of three rope swings with drops into a 20-foot-deep pool, according to the resort. Both were among the two best-known rides at Action Park, which opened in 1978 and was replaced in 1998 by Mountain Creek Waterpark. The Action Park name was revived for two summers at the site in the mid-2010s. Cannonball Falls originally ended with a 10-foot drop into a pool. It was shut down by the state in 2015 after six injuries were reported that summer. The updated version of Cannonball Falls includes a lower drop into the water and a less-abrupt turn near the end, the resort's general manager, Evan Kovach, said in June. 'Bringing back the Tarzan Swings and Cannonball Falls has been a true labor of love for our team,' Kovach said on Tuesday. 'These rides have been part of the park's DNA for decades, and we're so excited to welcome guests back to experience them in a refreshed and even more exciting way. Their return marks a major milestone for the park and the 2025 season as a whole,' Kovach said. The two rides are in a newly-designed area known as 'The Gorge.' Tarzan Swings ended its run a decade ago, not due to injuries, but because it used the same section of the Sussex County resort as Cannonball Falls and it did not make sense to continue with only one of the rides, Kovach said previously. The waterpark will remain open through Labor Day, Sept 1. Please subscribe now and support the local journalism you rely on and trust.
