Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are getting married sooner than expected. The couple, who began dating in June 2023, surprised fans with their engagement announcement in December last year. Since then, they haven't set a clear wedding date because of their busy lives. However, new reports suggest that the wedding could take place very soon.
According to The Daily Mail, Selena and Benny are planning a beautiful and intimate two-day wedding in Montecito this September. A source known to the media house shared, 'Selena and Benny's wedding is going to be a two-day event in Montecito in September. Everyone invited has been asked to bring overnight bags to stay for the weekend." They chose a fall wedding mostly because it fits better with everyone's schedules.
A second source explained, 'Selena loves being engaged, but she has been dreaming of being married forever. At the end of the year, it gets busy, not only for them, but also for everyone they want to attend."
This comes after Benny said, 'We both need to chill. We've both been working so much," during his recent appearance on Therapuss.
The couple has also been known to keep parts of their private life under wraps. For example, they dropped their album I Said I Love You First right after Selena said she wasn't planning to release any new music soon.
Will Taylor Swift Be There?
The wedding is expected to be a star-studded affair, with celebrities like Ed Sheeran and Selena's Only Murders in the Building co-stars among the anticipated guests. Also on the guest list are Selena's longtime best friend, Taylor Swift, and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

'Although it is for friends and family only, many on the friends list are huge celebrities, including Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Selena's co-stars from 'Only Murders in the Building,' and music superstars who are Benny's friends and some he's also worked with," a source told The Daily Mail.
The source also shared, 'Selena is not having her wedding to accommodate Taylor, but she wants her to attend, and she would love for her to be able to go with Travis."
While the full guest list hasn't been revealed yet, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are expected to be among the most prominent attendees.
