Excluding special items, the bottomline was 43% lower compared to the previous year at $116 million. Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) fell 17% on year to $416 million, while the adjusted EBITDA made on each tonne of steel stood at $432, down by 18% on year. 'While market headwinds mainly from structurally higher scrap prices negatively impacted financial performance in the quarter, we are making solid progress on our comprehensive cost reduction program, which we expect will lower our cost base and improve our margins,' Steve Fisher, chief executive officer of Novelis Inc was quoted in a release. The company has also raised its guidance for the expected run-rate cost savings to over $100 million by the end of the fiscal, up from the previously estimated $75 million. 'We have already implemented a round of organization redesign, footprint rationalization and process improvement actions to drive simplification and efficiencies,' Fisher said. Novelis spent $386 million on capital expenditure in the three months of the current fiscal so far. This was primarily for strategic investments in new rolling and recycling capacity under construction, including the company's new greenfield rolling and recycling plant in Bay Minette, Alabama.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) found that Category C or critical airfield training for around 1,700 pilots, including pilots in command and first officers, was conducted with non-qualified simulators , the sources said. According to the sources, the regulator found that the simulators on which the nearly 1,700 pilots did their training were not qualified for operations at certain airports like Calicut , Leh, and Kathmandu. Live Events Certain airports, like Calicut, which has a table top runway, have additional requirements for flight operations . "We confirm receipt of a show-cause notice issued by the DGCA pertaining to simulator training of some of our pilots. We are in process of reviewing the same and will respond to the regulator within the stipulated timeline," an IndiGo spokesperson said in a statement.

This model promises not just sharper visuals and richer colours, but a more intuitive, intelligent viewing experience that adapts to the user's needs. It's Samsung's way of signalling that the future of home entertainment isn't just about resolution—it's about making the TV smarter than ever before. We have been using it for some time and here's our review Design and display Samsung Neo QLED QN90F carries a premium aesthetic that immediately reflects its flagship positioning. Its NeoSlim profile makes it sleek enough to blend seamlessly into modern living spaces, while the four-sided bezel-less design ensures the picture takes centre stage without any visual distractions. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like This Could Be the Best Time to Trade Gold in 5 Years IC Markets Learn More Undo The Titan Black finish gives it a sophisticated, understated appeal, whether mounted on a wall or placed on a table with its uniquely styled Sharp Neck Hexagon stand in matching colour. The flexibility of both wall-mount and table-top setups means it can adapt to a variety of room layouts. The TV's 55-inch display offers a 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) that's backed by Samsung's Neo QLED technology, ensuring exceptional brightness, contrast, and detail. The anti-reflection, glare-free screen is a standout feature, keeping the picture crisp even in brightly lit rooms or with daylight streaming in. When it comes to performance, the panel truly shines across different types of content. High-definition movies and TV shows benefit from rich colours and deep blacks, while sports content looks smooth and vibrant, thanks to the TV's ability to handle high frame rates without motion blur. Streaming in 4K HDR reveals the set's impressive contrast handling, with fine details visible even in dark scenes. Gaming also gets a significant boost with 4K 165Hz support across all HDMI ports, delivering ultra-smooth visuals and highly responsive gameplay. Whether you're watching cinematic blockbusters, fast-paced sports, or playing the latest AAA games, the QN90F's display offers an immersive, high-quality experience that justifies its premium tag. Gaming, connectivity and more Samsung has clearly designed the Neo QLED QN90F with gamers in mind. The TV comes loaded with Auto Game Mode (ALLM), Game Motion Plus, and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), ensuring gameplay is smooth, responsive, and free of tearing. Features like Dynamic Black EQ enhance visibility in darker in-game environments, while FreeSync Premium Pro keeps frame rates stable for demanding titles. The Super Ultra Wide Game View and Mini Map Zoom give players an edge in competitive scenarios, expanding the field of view and allowing quick access to crucial on-screen details. Combined with AI Auto Game Mode, the TV automatically adjusts settings for optimal performance without manual tweaking. Connectivity is equally robust. With four HDMI 2.1 ports supporting 4K at 165Hz, two USB-A ports, Ethernet, optical audio out, RF input, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and eARC support, the QN90F offers plenty of flexibility for consoles, sound systems, and streaming devices. Features like Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) simplify control by allowing connected devices to be managed with a single remote. On the smart features front, the TV runs Samsung's Tizen OS with One UI, offering a clean, intuitive interface. It supports Bixby and Alexa (India only) with far-field voice interaction, Google Assistant compatibility, and access to a rich suite of streaming apps. The inclusion of Samsung TV Plus, Apple AirPlay, Multi-View (up to 2 videos), TV-to-Mobile/Mobile-to-TV casting, Tap View, and Sound Mirroring makes it easy to share, stream, and multitask. The TV also doubles as a SmartThings and Matter Hub, enabling control of connected IoT devices directly from the screen. The real star here is Samsung's Vision AI that works in the background to optimise video and audio based on content type, ambient lighting, and even the viewing environment. The AI Picture and Sound modes noticeably improve clarity, depth, and balance, whether you're watching a dimly lit drama or a bright sports match. The AI-generated wallpapers add a personalised aesthetic when the TV is idle, blending beautifully into home décor. During testing, the QN90F delivered consistently excellent performance. Games ran fluidly with no noticeable input lag, streaming apps loaded quickly, and AI upscaling made even older HD content look surprisingly sharp. The only minor hiccup was that some AI enhancements could feel a bit too aggressive in certain movie scenes, slightly over-sharpening textures, though this can be easily adjusted in the settings. Verdict Samsung Neo QLED QN90F 55-inch is a premium 4K TV that delivers on both style and substance. With its sleek design, stellar display, robust gaming features, and powerful Vision AI enhancements, it offers an immersive, future-ready viewing experience. At Rs 1,30,990, it's a worthy investment for those seeking a high-end, all-rounder entertainment hub. Overall, the combination of advanced gaming support, versatile connectivity, and truly intelligent AI integration elevates the QN90F beyond being 'just a TV' into a complete entertainment hub.
