Did Beyoncé's Levi's ad take a dig at Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle jeans campaign?

has been topping search charts and trending hashtags for several weeks now. The reason? Her much-viral and criticised ad campaign for American jeans brand American Eagle, which was released on July 23, 2025 and featured the 'Euphoria' actress in seven different denim looks.
While the ad in itself might have rocked the world with Sweeney's sultry and bold looks, the tagline of "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans" managed to raise the eyes of not only the American netizens but also political leaders, with them arguing that the company was promoting eugenics and Sweeney was headlining the statement.
Now, another name has been added to this Goblet of Fire, that of music's reigning queen, Beyoncé.
A section of social media users has been comparing Sweeney's stint to that of the country singer's Levi's campaign that she did back in February. The collaboration promoted the second chapter of Beyoncé's and Levi's "Reimagine" campaign titled "Pool Hall."
In the picture going viral across social media platforms, Beyonce can be seen in an all-denim avatar with an embroidered jacket, strappy vest and jeans, striking an eerily similar pose to Sweeney.

Ever since Beyoncé's ad went viral, people have also been targeting her for trying to "appropriate" American culture with her blonde hair.
"Stop appropriating my culture, Beyonce," wrote a person on X.
Others have been comparing the two in a positive and negative light.
"Just going to leave this pic from Beyoncé Levi's campaign right here for those saying Sydney Sweeney with her blond hair/denim/sultry look is racist…" said a post on X.
"Everything in this pic is fake, Sweeney's attributes are all hers," commented one defending Sweeney.
"Beyoncé has basically done a Michael Jackson and lightened her skin to the point of being WHITE, and the blonde hair basically says she wants to be WHITE, not embrace her "blackness"," added another.
Many in the comments section explained how the entire fiasco was being created by the Democrats to get favour from the people and create conversations.
