Hell's Kitchen Ibiza opened its doors on June 9th.
Europe's very first Hell's Kitchen opened its doors this month, just in time to kick off a new season in Ibiza. This marks the very first foray into Spain for celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his restaurant group.
Located in the heart of Playa d'en Bossa, the beautifully designed restaurant is just steps away from the sea and fits perfectly as the newest dining establishment in the wildly popular party destination.

'Ibiza was a clear choice for our first European opening,' says Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants. 'The island is famous for combining a thriving hospitality sector with an unmatched energy and international audience, making it an ideal environment to introduce the Hell's Kitchen experience to Europe.'
Located inside the newly rebranded The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel (formerly The Ushuaïa Tower), it's the property's sixth restaurant and is projected to quickly become its most coveted. 'Partnering with Palladium Hotel Group has allowed us to deliver an experience that stays true to the Hell's Kitchen brand while thoughtfully reflecting the character and spirit of Ibiza, and our partners,' says Wenlock.
Aimed to be more than just your typical restaurant, Hell's Kitchen Ibiza promises high-energy and entertainment that matches the property's vibe. With it being located adjacent to the iconic Ushuaïa day club, dining here is meant to be lively and will invoke those expected Ibiza party moments.
'I'm so excited to be bringing Hell's Kitchen to the electrifying island of Ibiza this summer,' says Ramsay. 'This place has it all — explosive energy, legendary nightlife, and a food scene that's absolutely world-class. Ibiza is the ultimate backdrop for the bold, high-octane experience that is Hell's Kitchen.'
Hell's Kitchen Ibiza will feature the core elements that define the Hell's Kitchen brand: high impact dining, bold design, and dynamic service, but will then layer in a plenty of uniquely local character. 'From exclusive dishes and cocktails that reflect Ibizan culture, to a seamless connection between dinner and nightlife, this exciting new site reimagines what the Hell's Kitchen experience can be in an exciting European luxury environment,' explains Wenlock.
Pan-seared scallops
The menu at Hell's Kitchen Ibiza is rooted in the flavors of the island of Ibiza and surrounding Spanish influences. 'Our expert culinary team has drawn inspiration from Ibiza's rich local ingredients, Mediterranean heritage, and food culture to create a selection of exclusive dishes unique to this location,' says Wenlock. 'While guests may notice global influences in some of the flavors, including subtle spice profiles, the focus remains on capturing the spirit and essence of Ibiza through every plate.'
New to the menu items include hell-fired scallops, Basque-style cheesecake, and whole grilled branzino. Of course, you'll still find the classics like Ramsay's iconic beef Wellington, pan-seared scallops, and ultra creamy lobster risotto, and sticky-toffee pudding on the menu. Guests can marvel at the dishes being prepared in the expansive open kitchen that acts as a focal point for most of the dining room's tables.
The bar at Hell's Kitchen Ibiza is not only stunning and perfectly backlit, but it's an ideal spot for after-dinner drinks or to pregame before a wild night out around the island. The cocktail menu features bestselling cocktails from Hell's Kitchen's global outposts, including the bright and refreshing Eighteen Stars made with tequila, cointreau, yellow pepper, passion fruit, and lime.

Additionally, there's also a selection of exclusive-to-Ibiza cocktails including the The Thyme Traveller made with hierbas ibicencas (the island's signature anise-flavored spirit) giving it a distinct herbaceous flavor.
While this is the first Hell's Kitchen in Europe and the brand's first restaurant in Spain, it certainly doesn't seem like it will be the last. 'Ibiza marks an exciting chapter for us, and naturally, we're keeping an eye on where the brand could go next,' says Wenlock. 'Europe presents a number of compelling opportunities, but for now, our focus is on delivering an exceptional experience in Ibiza and listening closely to our guests.'
Hell's Kitchen Ibiza is open daily for dinner starting at 7 p.m. on the ground floor of The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel.

Watch HBO Max's New 100% Rotten Tomatoes Show For Free Here

If you're looking for something different, way different, to watch this week, you might want to flip on HBO Max to witness something highly unusual. That would be the new show Women Wearing Shoulder Pads, which currently has a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Women Wearing Shoulder Pads may sound like some sort of period piece about women in the workplace. Instead, it's a stop-motion puppet comedy on Adult Swim. It's the first Spanish-language on the service and it's well, just watch the trailer: Actually, forget that, watch the first episode, which HBO Max has made free on YouTube in order to get viewers hooked: If you can't spend those 12 minutes to watch it yet, the synopsis is as follows: The vibe is very Robot Chicken, albeit as a full series, not a clip show. The series is from Gonzalo Cordova, who most notably was a writer on 14 episodes of Tuca and Bertie, the famously cancelled Netflix series that was eventually picked up by Adult Swim. After two more seasons it was cancelled on Adult Swim as well, but at least managed three in total. Now, Cordova is on Women Wearing Shoulder Pads here. Here's Cordova speaking to Indiewire about his project: 'I grew up hearing all these family stories about Ecuador, and about things that happened in my family, and they were all so melodramatic and over the top and exaggerated,' Cordova said. 'For me, it had a connection to his world, to the way his films in the '80s are very colorful and over the top. And I wanted to see if I could put pluck a character from his world, and kind of put it in that world and see what would happen.' He goes on to say that production is challenging, given that there are 60 miniatures with multiple costume changes to manage in stop-motion, which is obviously an art form we do not see all that often these days. And this one is more complicated than most, said Roy Ambriz, an animator: 'Usually when you see stop-motion productions, there is one set with two characters and with the same clothing. But for this production, we needed to create a lot of different sets,' Roy Ambriz told IndieWire. 'Some sets were used only for one shot or for one scene, but that creates and helps the melodrama. They're real people working, but they are miniatures, they are toys.' Women Wearing Shoulder Pads is a fascinating series and will air first on Adult Swim, then on HBO Max the next day. Right now, just two have been released. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.

Taittinger Opens Champagne-Forward Tasting Restaurant

Whether you're celebrating a wedding, a birthday or just the end of a long Thursday, nothing signals a special occasion like the popping of a champagne cork. Famously made in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France some 90 miles outside of Paris, legacy brands like Champagne Taittinger have been filling and aging bottles in their caves for centuries. While a champagne toast before a meal is a given, few people would ever consider pairing the bubbly drink with their meal. With the opening of their first-ever on-property restaurant, Polychrome, Taittinger hopes to change that perception. Located in the historic Saint-Nicaise headquarters in Reims, the restaurant is designed to be a champagne-forward experience with the express purpose of letting their vintages shine through food. 'I'm very excited." Explains Vitalie Taittinger, president of Champagne Taittinger. "This has been some years of reflection and now I'm very happy to share it with the visitors and to see how they react to the concept. How much it can bring something to the idea that we can pair champagne with many different things." The name Polychrome refers to the color wheel as a reflection of all of nature's vibrant hues and how they play with the plate and the palate. The opening of Polychrome is also the first time that all ten Taittinger champagnes will be available to taste in one location. With three- and four-course tasting menus and a special afternoon tea, rotating seasonal tastings as well as by-the-glass offerings there's plenty to choose from. 'I think the season reflects in the color palette.' Taittinger affirms. 'It will be also a great angle for the chef to imagine the changing palette of color, having a new product and being able to work with the season. We see that it is approachable even when you are cooking at home.' The opening chef is Michelin-starred Charles Coulombeau who is well known for combining bold flavors with global influences and was a winner of the Taittinger Signature Culinary Prize in 2020. He's spent more than a year testing out recipes in between running his other dining concepts all over Paris. Following Coulombeau, the visiting chefs will rotate yearly but the concepts will stay the same with brightly colored accent sauces and condiments meant to challenge diners to investigate their own favorite flavor combinations. 'Contributing to the creation of Polychrome was a true creative challenge,' says Coulombeau. 'It was a journey where ideas, flavors and influences converged to shape a collective expression. Central to this project was the delicate balance between honoring the identity of the House and infusing it with my own artistic sensibility, all while pushing into new and uncharted territory.' While Vitalie only took over Taittinger from her father a few years ago she has embraced making improvements to the 712 acres of vineyards that included Grand Cru sites in both the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. Since the estate is also one of the largest in the Champagne district there is a lot of space to play. The expressive color palette is mirrored in the reimagined visitor center with updated tasting spaces and a spacious bar. 'I think [the colors] will be even more pushed here and it will be great also being a space of exploration.' Vitale Taittinger agrees. "How you can play with the wine and the food. This is an exploration and I love that. I love the freedom.' Architect Giovanni Pace designed the restaurant housed inside an addition at Saint-Nicaise and preserved much of the original 1930s heritage. He specifically drew from materials and concepts of the former abbey that once stood on the property with accents of wood, stone and glass. These of course incorporate the caves which hold many of the cuvées aging below and all a quick 45 minute train ride from Paris.

Jennifer Aniston opens up about love amid rumours of romance with wellness guru

Jennifer Aniston has shared her refreshingly honest views on love – and according to the twice-married Hollywood star, it's all about 'not putting pressure' on relationships. 'A good place to be is to be open to love, but not seeking it,' she told Closer magazine. 'That way you don't put any pressure on the situation, and if it happens organically, then amazing.' The 56-year-old actress may well be speaking from recent experience. Rumours suggest that she's found love with 49-year-old Jim Curtis, a Los Angeles-based hypnotherapist, life coach and wellness guru. The pair sparked dating speculation after they were photographed looking cosy aboard a yacht in Mallorca, Spain, in early July. While neither has confirmed anything publicly, their social media activity has been telling a different story. No matter how long I have been in the industry, I will never get used to people thinking they have any sort of right to know about your personal life Jennifer Aniston Last week, Jen appeared to be dropping hints when she shared a cryptic Instagram Story featuring a tweet that read: 'The Friends theme song was right, no one told us life was gonna be this way . . . ' Meanwhile, following their Mediterranean getaway, Jim shared some rather telling words in his newsletter about experiencing 'abundance, joy and love'. But just who is this hunky non-Hollywood heartthrob? Jim is an accomplished author who has penned several books on healing and personal transformation. Known for his uplifting philosophy, he regularly shares inspirational quotes and manifestations designed to help people 'break free from their past and patterns' to find love – content that Jennifer has quietly been following and liking for the past two years. Jen is dating Jim and she is very happy, but is still taking things slowly Insider If the rumours prove true, this would mark Jen's first public relationship since her 2018 divorce from Justin Theroux – and her first serious romance with someone outside the showbiz industry. According to Us Weekly, Jen and Jim were introduced by mutual friends and really hit it off. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jim Curtis (@jimcurtis1) 'They are being super private but have been spending a lot of time together,' an insider says. 'They are happy and really into each other.' Show Comments ()
