Mother's Day weekend was a busy one for NFL rookies. Nearly every team hosted rookie minicamps over the second weekend in May. For a couple of prominent rookies, the rookie minicamp might have had them calling for comfort from mom.
Rookie minicamp didn't go well for either Mason Graham or Luther Burden.
For Graham, the No. 5 overall pick by the Cleveland Browns, the strains of rookie minicamp literally made him physically ill. A now-viral video clip of Graham lumbering through drills before throwing up on his own helmet paints an ugly picture for Cleveland's top pick.
It made Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski joke that Graham enjoys the Browns training table food spread a little too much,
For Chicago Bears wideout Luther Burden, the hits just keep coming.
Burden was projected as a first-round talent for months before questions about his NFL fit and underwhelming final season at Missouri pushed him into the second round. Chicago's new wideout gave everyone a scare when he left the Saturday session of rookie minicamp with an abdominal injury.
Fortunately, Burden was back out at practice on Sunday and appeared no worse for the wear.

Ben and Kaitlyn Cleveland have been separated since December 2024 despite the divorce filing coming in February. The date of separation was noted in the first court filing. Cleveland was a third-round pick by the Ravens in 2021, and he re-signed with the team this offseason to remain a fixture on the offensive line. He could see a larger role in 2025 after being used sparingly over his first four seasons. Cleveland has seven starts under his belt in 54 games since joining the team, all of which coming at offensive guard. Former Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb, who is a free agent, is expected to sign with the Houston Texans on Monday, according to league sources. It is expected to be a one-year deal and is contingent on Chubb passing a physical. Chubb received more lucrative offers from other teams, but he would sign a more incentive-laden contract to join Joe Mixon in Houston's backfield. Coming off Super Bowl and NFC Championship Game appearances in the years prior, the Niners took a significant dip in 2025. Advertisement San Francisco missed the playoffs and plummeted to the bottom of the NFC West standings. Their 6-11 record left them in last place. Several factors played into their downfall with injuries having a significant responsibility there. But there were some things within their control that they simply missed the mark on. Namely, the Niners regressed as a defensive unit. San Francisco ended the season as a bottom six group in points per game at 25.6. However, they have made the steps necessary to engineer some changes. They notably fired Nick Sorensen and have reunited with Robert Saleh as the defenisve coordinator.
