Katie Price's fury at exes who she blames for bankruptcy despite huge splurging
Former glamour model Katie Price, 47, believes that her tumultuous six years of financial woes are all down to one reason - the men in her life
Katie Price was declared bankrupt for a second time in March of this year, with a significant tax debt of over £750,000 cleared.
However, the former glamour model, 47, believes that her tumultuous six years of financial woes are all down to one reason - the men in her life.
Speaking back in March, she lashed out at her exes, claiming they "mentally abused her" and that she "wouldn't be tormented in [her] brain" if they hadn't been around. She said: "If men had not been in my life, I wouldn't be in the bankruptcy things that I've been in. I wouldn't be tormented in my brain or mentally abused like I have been."
Katie also revealed she believes she may have started glamour modelling due to the problems she has had with men. She told Elizabeth Day's How to Fail podcast: "Because it's like, you can look at me in a magazine but you cant touch me. I have therapy all because of men."
The mum-of-five added that she had PTSD, which she claimed was caused by men, but has now learned that 'opening up the lines of communication' is the 'best way forward'.
The Pricey has had a complicated love life, having been married three times and engaged four. After getting divorced from Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler, her latest break-up was with on/off fiancé, Carl Woods - before she moved on to her current partner, Married At First Sight star, JJ Slater.
Yet, Katie's love of plastic surgery has left fans concerned over the last decade - and not just because of the potential medical implications. She has had at least 16 boob jobs and most recently underwent surgery in a bid to have the 'largest boobs in Britain'. Katie is also an avid fan of fillers - having had injections in her lips and face to plump up her pout and smooth out her features.
Earlier this year, she showed off her new lips and new buttocks after having it plumped up. The costs of the tweaks were revealed, with the recent procedures pushing the amount she has spent changing her body to £130,000. In January, the Daily Mail claimed the star had spent £84,000 on changing the size of her breasts alone - while she has also had liposuction and Botox as well as other procedures.
Katie had work done with Life Aesthetics - a company which offers Brazilian bum lifts starting from £1,700. She also showed off the results of a Butterfly Lip injection - which reconstructed the shape of her lips so the top lip is puffed up and back to show off her teeth. The procedure costs from £550.
Last year, Katie went on many holidays and treated herself to tattoos and beach activities. She enjoyed a sunny getaway in Spain and also travelled to Thailand to top up her tap. She sometimes went with some of her children and even had her ex-fiancé Carl Woods tag along on several beachside getaways.
While she's at home in the UK, she's busy with her mansion and cars. Katie was banned from driving following an accident near her home in Sussex in September 2021. She flipped her car BMW X5 during the crash and was handed a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months, a two-year driving ban and 100 hours of community service after admitting to drink driving while disqualified and without insurance.
However, the ban was lifted early last year and she celebrated by treating herself to a set of new wheels, reportedly worth £50,000.
Katie - who is mum to son Harvey, 22, with Dwight Yorke, Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with ex-husband Peter Andre, and son Jett, 11, and daughter Bunny, 10, from her third marriage to Kieran Hayler - also recently opened up about the astonishing amount she spends on her weekly food shop.
Opening up about her spending habits on her podcast The Katie Price Show, the proud mum said: "I do weekly shops, I spend about £500-£700 a week.
"Sometimes we all go [to the shops]. I hate it because I say to them, we all get a trolley each, and Princess and Ed fill theirs up whereas Junior and Jasmine are careful with what they put in. They look at the prices and stuff and I just put everything in."

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's furious row that 'ripped the monarchy to pieces'
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton were said to have had a furious row during a clear-the-air meeting in 2018 A Royal expert has described a crucial meeting between Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate and Meghan as an event that "ripped the monarchy to pieces". The explosive encounter reportedly took place in June 2018 when the Prince and Princess of Wales sat down with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex amid rising tensions after Harry and Meghan's wedding. The situation escalated post-ceremony, as recounted in Prince Harry's memoir 'Spare', who cited early turbulence involving his wife and his sister-in-law. He detailed a dispute concerning bridesmaid dresses prior to his wedding which purportedly left Meghan in tears, mentioning that Kate "grimaced" when Meghan used her lip gloss. In an effort to resolve matters, both couples convened for a candid discussion after the Sussexes returned from their honeymoon. The atmosphere during the chat reportedly grew so fraught that it caused physical signs of distress in the Princess of Wales. According to Harry's depiction in 'Spare', the intense air-clearing session at Kensington Palace saw Kate demand an apology from Meghan while clenching a leather sofa, which saw her "fingers turn white". Harry detailed in 'Spare' that Kate's request stemmed from a comment Meghan made about her pregnancy hormones, referring to it as "baby brain". Meghan apparently offered her apologies, justifying the contentious remark as commonplace amongst her circle of friends, reports the Mirror. The situation escalated when Harry alleged that William "pointed a finger at Meg", and reportedly admonished: "Well, it's rude, Meghan. These things are not done here." Harry claims Meghan retorted: "If you don't mind, keep your finger out of my face." In the new Channel 5 documentary 'Meghan vs Kate: The Meeting That Changed the Monarchy', Royal commentators suggest this encounter was pivotal for the Sussexes, setting in motion their eventual departure from Royal duties. Richard Kay of the Daily Mail posited that this was the moment "the seed of Megxit was sewn", while his colleague Sarah Hewson reflected: "Had that meeting been a success, had they been able to put their differences aside, things would have been very different indeed." Newsweek's chief Royal correspondent Jack Royston commented: "If only they'd listened. If Meghan had listened to what was being said to her, she could have changed way back in 2018. "And even if they had still quit the monarchy, they could have saved themselves so much pain and so much conflict." He went on: "What happened in that room back in June 2018 was the defining element of the relationship between the two couples that ripped the monarchy to pieces." Valentine Low, a noted Royal author, also remarked: "They had pathetic little differences that should have been sorted out in two minutes. But it helped fuel the flames." Harry's candid reflections in his memoir 'Spare' come as Meghan shared her experiences with the royals on their Netflix series. Recounting their earliest encounters, she expressed surprise at the private formality of the Royal family members. In the second instalment of their six-part Netflix documentary, 'Harry and Meghan', the Duchess discussed her first impressions of her brother-in-law and wife Kate. "When Will and Kate came over, and I met her for the first time, they came over for dinner, I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot," Meghan explained. "I was a hugger. I've always been a hugger, I didn't realise that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits." The mother-of-two elaborated further on the Royal customs saying: "I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside. "There is a forward-facing way of being, and then you close the door and go 'You can relax now', but that formality carries over on both sides. And that was surprising to me." Strictly star Nick Knowles, 62, marries Katie Dadzie, 34, in lavish ceremony
Congratulations are in order for Nick Knowles, who has tied the knot with his girlfriend, Katie Dadzie. The DIY SOS presenter, 62, wed his 34-year-old partner this weekend in a romantic ceremony in Essex. Nick, who also took part in Strictly Come Dancing last series, got hitched at Braxted Park Estate, which is somewhat of a celebrity wedding hotspot, given that it's also where Rylan Clark married Dan Neal in 2015. Their lavish celebrations are rumoured to have cost six figures, with photos from their special day showing a large number of guests. Snaps capture Nick and Katie's loved ones outside the venue, gathering for photos. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Katie, who co-owns lingerie brand Boa Boa with her now-husband, opted to defy tradition with her dress. Straying from convention, she looked stunning in a strapless white gown adorned with blue flowers. She wore her brunette locks in a chic updo, accessorising simply with a silver necklace and, of course, her latest addition to the jewellery collection, a dazzling ring. Meanwhile, Nick also pushed against the typical groom attire, looking dapper in a blush pink tuxedo with black lapels, completing the look with a bowtie. A source previously shared that 'no expense had been spared' for Nick and Katie's nuptials. 'Nick and Katie's big day is taking place at Braxted Park, a stunning location in Essex,' they spilled to The Sun ahead of the lovebirds saying 'I do.' 'He's invited all of his famous pals, including his Strictly co-stars, so it's going to be a proper showbiz bash. 'Katie's dress is beautiful and is going to blow people away. Nick and Katie's guests will be treated to delicious food and amazing entertainment – really no expense has been spared.' It's currently unknown which of Nick's Strictly pals attended his wedding, but he featured on the BBC dance series alongside JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Wynne Evans, Wynne Evans, Jamie Borthwick, Sam Quek, and eventual winner Chris McCausland. Alas, Nick's own Strictly journey came to a sour end when he suffered a series of brutal injuries in training. He was forced to sit out of Movie Week with his pro partner, Luba Mushtuk, returning with a Paddington-themed routine the following Saturday, which ended up being his final hurrah. At the start of 2025, Nick revealed it was going to take eight months for him to recover fully after undergoing two surgeries: one to reattach his bicep and one to reconstruct his knee. By his side through the rehabilitation process, though, has been Katie. Following his Strictly stint, then-fiancée Katie warned that Nick was 'a shell of a man' due to being 'exhausted'. She started dating him in 2021, having met when their children became friends at a play centre. Nick has three sons and one daughter, whom he shares with two ex-wives, making Katie his third marriage. He has long been vocal about the backlash to his relationship with Katie, who is 28 years his junior. The TV personality previously told The Times that Katie 'occasionally wondered if it's all worth it' due to 'horrible' racist abuse she receives online. Nick said: 'It's really unpleasant and unfair,' with Katie also accused of being a 'golddigger' in her Instagram comments. 'Katie's a mum of two, she's super intelligent and capable, within just eight months her lingerie brand was stocked by Next. 'But you just get people being properly vile. So you understand when she goes, 'I don't know if I want to be around this'.' Nick was then asked if he tried to change her mind in those moments, to which he replied: 'No. I understand. But in the end we love each other very much.' Speaking in 2023 about the moment he popped the question, Nick revealed he actually used a Haribo ring. Nick shared on The One Show that Katie was travelling to see him in New Orleans and he realised it was 'the ideal time' to propose, but he 'didn't have a ring.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Therefore, he had to improvise with the gummy sweet, as it was 'all [he] had' on him. More Trending Ever the fixer, however, Nick still managed to make the moment memorable, taking a pair of scissors to the 'ring' to give it a jewel on top. He joked it was 'a dangerous move, as she does like Haribo', and the engagement ring could easily have been eaten instead. View More » Fortunately, Katie happily accepted his odd proposal and even kept the Haribo ring, storing it in a plastic bag at home before potentially getting it encased in perspex as a souvenir. Kate and Meghan's bombshell disagreement as 'pathetic differences' exposed
A tense clear the air meeting between Meghan and Kate was revealed by Prince Harry in Spare - and experts have explained how it changed the course of the monarchy A clear-the-air meeting between Waleses and the Sussexes "ripped the monarchy to pieces", a royal expert has claimed. Back in June 2018, the Prince and Princess of Wales met with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after tension had brewed between the couples after Harry and Meghan's wedding. It came after, as Harry recounted in his memoir Spare, that his new wife seemed at loggerheads with his sister-in-law in the early days of their romance. He says the two women had a row over bridesmaid dresses in the lead-up to his wedding that left Meghan in tears and that Kate "grimaced" when the duchess borrowed her lipgloss. Both couples decided to have a clear-the-air chat shortly after the Sussexes' honeymoon. However, things got so tense that Kate's fingers supposedly went white. Harry describes the moment in his memoir after he and Meghan were invited over to see William and Kate for tea at their Kensington Palace apartment. He recalls how both couples aired their grievances including Kate, who asked for an apology from Meghan as she gripped a leather sofa so tightly her "fingers were white". According to Spare, Kate wanted Meghan to say sorry for making a remark about her hormones and having "baby brain" while she was pregnant. The book then recounts how Meghan apologised and explained that is how she speaks to her friends. But the encounter took a turn when Harry claims William "pointed a finger at Meg", then allegedly blasted: "Well, it's rude, Meghan. These things are not done here." To which he says Meghan responded: "If you don't mind, keep your finger out of my face." Now in a new Channel 5 documentary, 'Meghan vs Kate: The Meeting That Changed the Monarchy', royal experts believe this meeting was a turning point for the Sussexes as set the wheels in motion for Harry and Meghan to dramatically quit their royal roles. According to the Daily Mail's Richard Kay, this was the meeting that saw "the seed of Megxit sewn" while fellow expert Sarah Hewson said: "Had that meeting been a success, had they been able to put their differences aside, things would have been very different indeed." And chief royal correspondent from Newsweek, Jack Royston said: "If only they'd listened. If Meghan had listened what was being said to her, she could have changed way back in 2018. And even if they had still quit the monarchy, they could have saved themselves so much pain and so much conflict. "What happened in that room back in June 2018 was the defining element of the relationship between the two couples that ripped the monarchy to pieces." While respected royal author Valentine Low added: "They had pathetic little differences that should have been sorted out in two minutes. But it helped fuel the flames." Harry's observation in Spare comes after Meghan took aim at Kate during her and Harry's Netflix docuseries. As she recalled their first meeting she said she was "surprised" by the behind-the-scenes formality of members of the royal family. Speaking in episode two of the six-part Harry & Meghan docuseries, she said: "When Will and Kate came over, and I met her for the first time, they came over for dinner, I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot. I was a hugger. I've always been a hugger, I didn't realise that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits. "I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside. There is a forward-facing way of being, and then you close the door and go 'You can relax now', but that formality carries over on both sides. And that was surprising to me." Meghan vs Kate: The Meeting That Changed the Monarchy, airs on Channel 5 on Saturday at 9.20pm.
