Malaika Arora doesn't eat after 7 pm, follows 17-hour intermittent fasting: ‘It has worked like magic for me'

Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor are often praised for their fitness and both of them swear by the fact that having their dinner before sunset is one of the major reasons behind their fitness. Now, Malaika Arora has also endorsed the same lifestyle as the 49-year-old recently revealed that she does not eat any meals after 7 pm. In a recent interview, Malaika spoke about her routine and shared that she follows intermittent fasting of 17 hours every alternate day and in the seven hours that she eats, she likes to eat everything. 'It's all portion control. I don't believe in cheat days and stuff like that,' Malaika shared in a chat on 32ND – Lifestyle, Investments & Residences' YouTube channel. Malaika shared that unlike her son, she does not weigh her food before eating it, and prefers to eat in a bowl. 'I like eating out of a bowl and it's a specific size of a bowl and that's the amount that I will eat,' she said. Malaika Arora then shared her intermittent fasting routine and said, 'I do intermittent fasting. That's something that has worked like magic for me. I think it just resets my entire system. I sleep better, I wake up better, I don't feel heavy. I used to do it everyday, then I started doing it every alternate day. And it's not about fasting or dieting. There's a big difference between dieting and fasting, it's a huge difference. I eat but I eat in that time, in that limited time of the day and that's what I eat.' Malaika then spoke about her 'no food after 7 pm rule' and shared, 'Another thing that I swear by is, don't eat after sunset. My last meal is at 7 pm. I try not to eat anything after that. Until next day. I wake up early but I don't eat anything. I probably just break it with ghee. 12 noon is when I actually have my first meal. So my proper heavy meal is when I actually eat. And then I eat everything, whether it's rice, roti, sabzi, everything. I eat everything.' Malika said that she will soon turn 50 and added, that for someone who is older, they have other health concerns to take care of. 'After a certain age, you are battling with a whole lot of things. I am 49. I will be 50,' she said. Malaika recently started her restaurant business in Mumbai. I do my exercise at 7 am then I drink black tea. Then I take very little breakfast, not very fattening. And that's it. Then I have lunch. I don't have dinner. I just take some fruits. I don't eat dinner,' she shared in a chat with Radio Nasha Official.

Aayush Sharma Opens Up On Working With Sanjay Dutt In My Punjabi Nikaah

Last Updated: Aayush said he was stunned when he got to know that the project would also star Sanjay as the parallel lead. Aayush Sharma is currently busy with the preparations of his upcoming film, My Punjabi Nikaah, wherein he will be seen sharing the screen space with actor Sanjay Dutt. The project is being helmed by Sohail Khan. As the team begins the production of the movie, Aayush recently opened up about his first reaction when he got to know that the film would also star Sanjay in the parallel lead. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, the actor said, 'When the film My Punjabi Nikaah came to me and I realised it would also star Sanjay Dutt sir, I was stunned beyond words. I needed some time to process the freshness of sharing the space with a legendary actor. I mean, he has decades of experience working in Indian cinema, and it goes without saying that he will add weight to the overall story. So for the time being, all I want to do is start shooting with him and learn from him." Instead, it will be a comedy filled with laughter and lighthearted moments. Ahead of the shoot, Sohail Khan met the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, and the Governor of Punjab, Gulab Chand Kataria, implying the major portion of the film will be shot in Haryana and Punjab. He shared photos of his meeting with politicians and wrote, 'I was overwhelmed, and my heartfelt gratitude to all of the senior politicians who are making my ambitious path as comfortable as possible. The love, affection, support, and accommodations shown to us are greatly appreciated. I truly appreciate everyone from the bottom of my heart, and I shall cherish your kindness for the remainder of my life. God Bless You All. Jai Hind."
