The current era of women's wrestling has come a long way from the Divas Era, where female wrestlers would barely get five minutes for a match. Former SmackDown Women's Champion Natalya spoke about the growth of women's wrestling.

While speaking on Chris Van Vliet's Insight podcast, Natalya shared her thoughts on the discussions that women are being underutilized in wrestling.
'Here's my thing, and it kind of goes back to what I was saying earlier. I was talking to my mom, I talk to my mom about everything, and I was saying sometimes it's so easy, especially nowadays. We all have a platform. If you're on Twitter, you're on Instagram, you're on TikTok, you're on social media, you have a platform. That's the cool thing about this day and age is that everybody has a voice. It is so easy. It would be so easy for me to go on social media and be like, 'I'm mad about this, and I'm mad about that, and I should have this and I should have that…'
'I would have loved to have been the first-ever Women's IC Champion. I would have loved that. For me, and this is the big thing is that there just has to be the right story. I think everybody wants everything now, we're living in a world of instant gratification where we want everything right now. So there's always going to be times where people feel like we should have this, and the Women's Division should do that, and that there should be this.'
Natalya on the difficulties of booking a weekly wrestling TV show
'I do think that booking a weekly TV show, it's not easy, especially because there's lots of things that happen behind the scenes that people just don't know about. Somebody gets hurt, or somebody can't make it or this isn't where we're going for the big picture. Of course I would love to do more in WWE, but I also want there to be the right story. Especially being somebody that has been in WWE for 18 years, I would love to do more, but I also understand that timing is everything, so I have faith that the right story will come. And actually, I feel like we're right around the corner from some big announcements being made, especially with what I'm doing, I'm leaving you guys on such a cliffhanger, those stories will come to fruition.'
Natalya: It's easy to critique, but at the same time I try to be patient
'So yeah, it's easy to critique, but at the same time I try to be patient, I try to empathize. And also, the one thing I do is make suggestions. Rather than be like, I should have this, I should have that. I go, 'Hey, I have an idea', 'We don't like that.' 'Hey, I got an idea.' 'We don't like that.' 'Hey, I got an idea.' Something is going to stick. So I have faith, I think that things are going to get exciting. It's just not easy, because also, right now we just have so many women, and I think that it's a good thing but it's also challenging, because you want to make sure that everybody has a special place.

'I think that's the thing is that back a few years ago, sometimes I'd be on TV every single week, but I wasn't always doing the most meaningful things. I mean, at one point I was passing gas. I'm joking about that but I think what I do like about this new era is that we're just trying to find the right stories. I think we all want more. It's you're only human to want more. But I also think that let's just see what happens,' Natalya siad.

WWE official Charles Robinson reveals bat bite caused hospital visit: 'Great way to start the morning'

Longtime WWE referee Charles Robinson revealed on social media on Wednesday morning he spent a few hours in the hospital after being bitten by a bat. Robinson posted a photo and video of himself sitting on a hospital bed and getting treated. "Great way to start the morning. 2:00am and got bit by a bat. That's right a bat! 4 hours later in the ER and six shots," he captioned the Instagram post. He received a few well-wishes from fans in the comments section of the post. Robinson has been a pro wrestling referee since 1997 when he was with World Championship Wrestling. He received comparisons to Ric Flair because of his blonde hair and was called "Little Naitch" as a slight to "The Nature Boy." It's been a rough month or so for Robinson. He went viral in June during WWE's Night of Champions premium live event. WWE star Seth Rollins was about to cash in his Money in the Bank contract when John Cena bulldozed him, sending the 60-year-old flying to the ground. "I'm running as hard as I can," Robinson recalled days later on the "Raw Recap." "This was a cash-in, so I'm running about 80%. I'm not giving it my all. … I'm trying to hold back. It's a funny stride. I'm trying to hold back, thank God, because if I'd been going 100%, the collision would have been much worse. "I'm running down the ramp, and I see movement out of the corner of my eye. I thought it was Stu, the camera guy. … So then I divert back straight. All of a sudden, bam! I'm airborne. And they tell me that John Cena hit. Is that who hit me." He was also involved in a spot during Gunther and Goldberg's match at "Saturday Night's Main Event." He took a spear from Goldberg and later revealed he suffered a cracked rib from it. It's unclear if the bat bite will keep him out of action. "Friday Night SmackDown" is set to be in Boston.

Meghan Markle Drops Season 2 Trailer For 'With Love, Meghan' — Here Are All The Subtle Details You Missed

The wait is finally over! Meghan Markle has finally given fans a much-anticipated first glimpse into season two of her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. The Duchess of Sussex released the trailer on Tuesday, August 12, revealing not just the premiere date – Tuesday, August 26 – but also a star-studded guest lineup. Taking to Instagram, Markle shared the exciting news with the caption, 'The best moments are made to be shared ✨ With Love, Meghan returns August 26th on @netflix.' While season one charmed us with appearances from the brilliant Mindy Kaling, makeup maestro Daniel Martin, and culinary legends Roy Choi and Alice Waters, season two is stepping things up in the best possible way. The sophomore season's roster includes the wonderfully candid Chrissy Teigen, style guru Tan France, and some of the most celebrated names in the culinary world including José Andrés, David Chang, Samin Nosrat, Christina Tosi, and Clare Smyth. But it's not just about the food and edible flowers – though let's be real, that's a major draw. The season also welcomes cultural influencers Jay Shetty and Radhi Devlukia, plus Markle's close friend Heather Dorak, founder of Pilates Platinum. We'll also see the return of Daniel Martin, her longtime friend and makeup artist, alongside IT Cosmetics founder, Jamie Kern Lima, who hosted Markle for her first podcast guest appearance earlier this year. 'I've been fortunate to have the people that I want on the show,' the Suits star shared at April's TIME100 Summit, and that genuine excitement is palpable. 'I've been really lucky. We have a great, great lineup.' The trailer itself is pure joy, set to the upbeat 'Rockin' Robin' by Bobby Day. We see Markle in her element – cooking, crafting, and creating. 'I could do this every day,' Teigen remarks at one point. 'Let's get creative and learn something new,' Markle says in voiceover, perfectly capturing the spirit of what makes this show special. Perhaps the most endearing moment of the trailer, however, comes when Markle playfully reveals, 'You know who doesn't like lobster? My husband.' Chef Andrés' response is perfect: 'And you married him anyway?' While the show wasn't filmed at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's actual Montecito home, due to security concerns, Markle revealed to PEOPLE that the couple's children have played a special part in the production. 'Archie did the [filming clapboard]! Sweet moments,' she shared. 'They would also come with my husband and visit me on set. I loved that my children were able to watch me working and see the balance of that, and understand what Mama does and is working to create and share. It was really special because up until then, they hadn't seen me at work.' With Love, Meghan season two will be released on Netflix on August 26.
