"Not as easy to operate as my previous machine, but I will get used to it. The best thing is that once you've done the coffee, you can open the 'lid' and the used capsule is thrown automatically to the 'bin'. This is brilliant!
"I can't wait to test all the different types of coffee available. But so far, so good. The temperature of the coffee was perfect, milk was lovely and frothy. Just perfect!"
Another reflected: "My coffee machine arrived in beautiful packaging. Thanks to the video instructions provided by Nespresso, I was able to make my first start-up easily. The machine is designed to be simple to use, making it a pleasant process. I liked the fact that I could store the milk I hadn't used up in the fridge without dirtying another container.

Although they did have one issue with the gadget: "The machine is actually noisier than I thought it would be, but relative to the many advantages it has, this becomes a minor thing."
Someone else echoed this slight gripe and said: "Things to note: I did find the machine to be quite noisy but this did not bother me at all. It is also a bit of a bulky coffee machine compared to other compact machines Nespresso has made but it has the added bonus of the milk frother so no need to purchase it separately!"

The Oura ring is my favorite tracker — it has $100 off ahead of Amazon Prime Day

As a fitness editor, I've tried pretty much every wearable out there. From the all-new Whoop 5 to the Apple Watch, I love a fitness tracker, and I've tested them all. They range in price and what they offer in terms of features, and of course, some are more impressive than others. However, there's one device I've personally been wearing solidly for years — the Oura ring (was $299, now $199, and it currently has $100 off ahead of Amazon Prime Day (July 8 to July 11). My Oura ring has never let me down. I use it to track my sleep, energy levels, menstrual cycle, and recovery, and this tiny, chic device has helped me take my health and wellbeing to new heights. The only drawback is that it's expensive. But, that's no longer an issue thanks to the current saving. The Oura ring 4 ($349, was voted the best smart ring on the market by senior tech writer Alex Lee, and despite Samsung recently launching its Galaxy ring, Oura remains a firm favorite for fans of wearables, myself included. I love how the gold finish matches the rest of my jewelry and how lightweight, well-fitting, and easy to wear it is. Of course, you can also get the Oura in silver and cool, minimalist black as well as rose gold. The ring uses sensors inside the band to track variables that feed back information on your sleep quality, heart rate, and a raft of other health markers. To benefit from the discount and learn why I think you should invest, keep scrolling. If you're shopping for a tracker that simply measures fitness levels, there are plenty to choose from, but what makes the Oura ring special is that it offers much more. Not only is it small, lightweight, and easy to wear, but it also offers a range of insights that other trackers don't. My favorite features are the daily tags you can add to your activity log and the cycle calendar, which helps track your mood, sleep, and energy levels and predict the coming phases of your cycle. I've also found that I've been able to improve my sleep quality using the Oura ring — the sensors track your heart rate variability to track how long you spend in each phase of light, deep, and REM sleep, and by checking this and adapting the environment in my bedroom, taking my supplements at different times and going to bed earlier, I've been able to improve my overall sleep scores and rest better thanks to the ring. While the ring and subscription to the app aren't exactly cheap, this has been one of the most worthwhile investments I've made for my health. Oura ring 3 vs Oura ring 4 The deal on the third-generation Oura ring is impressively low and this is likely because Oura recently launched the ring 4. So, should you buy the newer model over the less expensive ring 3 that's on sale right now? Well, this all depends on what you're looking for in a smart ring. Both the Oura ring 3 and 4 are titanium-based, but the inside of the newer version is now wrapped in high-grade metal instead of the plastic used on the gen 3. The Oura ring 4 is also lighter, at 3.3-5.2g (depending on size), compared with 4-6g. While both versions of the ring promise to deliver similar metrics and insights, the ring 4 features an improved sensor platform that sits flusher with the ring, and it has an improved battery life, which is up to eight days, compared with the ring 3's seven days. In his review of the latest Oura ring, tech expert Alex said: 'The main benefit that the Oura ring 4 provides, compared with the gen 3, is improved durability, comfort and accuracy. This isn't a generational upgrade over the Oura ring 3, merely strengthening its position as the best smart ring out there for sleep tracking and recovery.'

Fourth of July barbeque prices have risen since Trump imposed tariffs, congressional analysis says

Americans may spend more on common barbeque items this Fourth of July with prices on products like beer, outdoor folding chairs and grill tools higher, according to a new congressional report. The total cost of a typical grocery trip for a cookout has increased by a 12.7% annualized rate since President Donald Trump 's sweeping tariff announcement in April, according to the analysis by the Joint Economic Committee's Democratic minority arm. It calculated the price increase using consumer price index data for the most popular food and beverage items for a 10-person summer cookout. The minority analysis found that a six-pack of bottled lite domestic beer from Miller Lite and Coors Light increased by more than 13% each since the April tariff announcement. The analysis looked at Walmart to find the most popular products and tracked their prices from April 1 to June 26 using price checking website AisleGopher. For imported beers, the minority analysis found a 10.5% price increase for bottles of Peroni Nastro Azzurro and a 9.5% increase for Modelo Especial bottles. In April, Trump announced 25% tariffs on beer imports and empty aluminum cans. In early June, his administration hiked tariffs on imported aluminum to 50%. Some beer brands, including Modelo owner Constellation Brands, have said higher aluminum costs have weighed on margins. The analysis also found price increases for key cookout gear by tracking popular listings on Amazon using price-checking websites and Since April 1, Amazon listings for a Coleman foldable camping chair increased 47.7% and a 25-piece griddle accessories kit increased 17.7%, according to the report. Other products saw more modest increases. A Banana Boat sunscreen rose 8.1%, Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil rose 6.9%, a Weber propane grill increased 5% and a multi-pack of disposable plates and utensils rose 3.3%, the report said. A separate May report from Rabobank, a global food and agribusiness bank, found that the cost of a 10-person barbeque rose 4.2% this year and will hit $100 for the first time ever. Its barbeque index highlighted higher beef prices as a contributing factor.
