Bruno Tonioli 'leaving Britain's Got Talent', reports say

Glasgow Times2 days ago
The Italian-British TV star has been a part of the ITV talent show for two series, but is now going to quit.
He missed some episodes in the latest series of the show and was replaced by guest judge KSI.
With his exit rumoured to be coming, here's who is lined up to be the new judge, and who fans want to see.
Last series was not short of scares, and this lot certainly kept us in suspense with their danger-filled auditions!

Bruno Tonioli 'leaving Britain's Got Talent'
An insider told The Sun that Tonioli would not be able to film the show due to prior commitments in the US for Dancing with the Stars.
They said: "The filming schedule in 2024 meant that Bruno could get away with not being present for filming one week of auditions.
'But it would be virtually impossible for him to miss two weeks, because in the final edit, that equates to half the episodes in the new three-month run of BGT, which will air from February of 2026.
'There is absolutely no ill feeling about the situation, it's simply down to changes in the schedule making it incredibly difficult to remain as a full-time judge.
'The only hope is if his long-time friend and fellow panellist Simon Cowell steps in to make it clear that he has to be a part of the show, no matter how difficult it proves to be.'
Who will replace Bruno Tonioli on Britain's Got Talent?
According to the report from the publisher, the frontrunners are KSI and Alan Carr.
KSI, being the guest judge on the last series, could make for an obvious choice, with many enjoying his brief appearances on the show.
Alan was one of the previous favourites to replace former judge David Walliams before Tonioli was chosen.
Reacting to the news online, fans of the show have had their say on who they would like to fill the soon-to-be-vacant judging chair.
One said: "Alan Carr would be the right choice."
Another said: "I beg BGT bring in Alan Carr. KSI didn't work, I might actually watch this abysmal show if Alan Carr was on it."
"Alan Carr every single day," said a third.
Some, however, backed internet personality KSI to take on the role fully.

"No KSI no party," one joked.
A second said: "Alan Carr would be good but I've gotta go with my guy KSI to be the next judge."
Other names that were thrown in the hat by fans included Harry Hill, Sam Thompson or Pete Wicks, or bringing back David Walliams.

School banned my daughter, 12, from ‘diversity day' for wearing Union Jack dress – the reason was ridiculous

Heartbroken pupil Courtney Wright, 12, was told: 'You get to celebrate being British everyday, this is for everybody else.' She also planned to read a speech celebrating tea, Shakespeare, fish and chips and the royals. But the grade-A student was stopped by teachers who gave her the option of wearing a second-hand uniform instead. Courtney refused before her dad Stuart Field, 47, arrived to collect her from Bilton School in Rugby, Warwickshire. Last night, he slammed the school for 'virtue signalling' and said he had since received a grovelling apology. The dad of five told The Sun: 'Her head of year bizarrely said that if she had worn a suit of armour or a nurse's outfit, she probably would have been allowed. "It's ridiculous. The irony is they were having a cultural diversity day and yet they singled out a group of people. 'She's a grade-A student and they have vilified her and punished her for being proud of being British.' He said a mum told him her son was banned for wearing a farmer's outfit. The marine engineer, from Coventry, added: 'This was Courtney's interpretation of British culture and what it means to her. Homeowner divides opinion with Union Jack driveway as some praise 'patriot' but others say it'll 'knock £20k off house' "Their response goes against all the school's inclusion policies. She was segregated from the kids taking part.' Before last Friday's event, head Jayne Delves wrote to parents: 'This special day is dedicated to recognising and celebrating the rich cultural diversity within our school community. "Students across all year groups will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of cultural activities.' In her speech, Courtney hoped to say: 'We have lots of traditions including drinking tea, our love of talking about the weather and our Royal Family. 'We have amazing history, like kings and queens, castles and writers like Shakespeare.' She would add: 'Sometimes at school we only hear about other cultures — which is great because learning about different countries is interesting and important. 'But it can feel like being British doesn't count as a culture, just because it's the majority.' The school responded: 'We deeply regret the distress this has caused and offer our sincere and unreserved apologies. We've since spoken directly with the pupil and her family to listen to their concerns and reflect on how this could have been handled better. 'We are committed to learning from this experience and ensuring every student feels recognised and supported.'

She alleges the fighter sent her the photos on X unprompted - despite her not following him back. The rapper claims the messages were sexual harassment, but also said that she sent the boxer nude pictures as well in a sexting-back and-forth since 2016. One image posted by Azelia seemingly shows McGregor's manhood strapped to a dumbbell, captioned "lifting weights". She wrote: "How you gonna send a b**** a some crooked d*** pics then threaten her not to tell. "'Like how are you really going to sexually harrass me with the potato farmer d*** then threaten me not to tell????" The screenshots also show a message from what appears to be McGregor's account reading: "Don't be a rat cos all rats get caught". In a later post, Azealia claimed she had sent McGregor naked pictures as well. In a follow-up post, Azealia wrote: "No me and Conor McGregor have been sending each other unsolicited nudes since 2016. LOL "I have never met the leprechaun but today is his birthday and he wants everyone to make a wish and blow out the candle." The Sun has approached representatives of McGregor for comment. It comes after he was caught kissing a mystery bikini-clad woman on holiday in Florida. Yesterday, The Sun reported that the former two-division UFC champion - who hasn't fought in nearly four years - cozied up with a dark-haired woman. He then laid down a towel for the woman and wrapped an arm around her shoulders in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Earlier today his fiancee Dee Devlin expressed her continued support for her controversial partner. She posted photos of the pair looking overjoyed as they celebrated McGregor's birthday. They pair have dated since 2008, and became engaged in 2020. They have four children together. Last year the MMA star was found liable in a civil case that accused him of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room in December 2018. It was alleged that he had choked the claimant, leading to her fearing for her life. He disputes the charges, arguing that they had consensual sex. A second woman accused him of sexual assault following a 2023 incident at an NBA Finals game in Miami. He has faced no criminal charges for this second case. Last month McGregor was captured punching a man to the floor during an Ibiza club night.

Royal caught napping at Wimbledon days after major celeb 'dozes off' on centre court

The Royal was pictured falling asleep just days after another famous face was snapped having a nap in the stands Primarily reserved for members of the British Royal Family, foreign royals, heads of state, celebrities, and former champions, all eyes are often on the Royal Box at Wimbledon and all movements are caught on camera. However, one particular Royal was spotted nodding off during the Men's singles final on Sunday, July 13. Lord Frederick Windsor attended the Men's Singles final at Wimbledon on Sunday, July 13 with wife, Sophie Winkleman. ‌ The couple were seated in some of the best spots on centre court. Lord Frederick is the son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and is 54th in line to the British throne. His father, Prince Michael of Kent, is a first cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II. ‌ The couple were seen enjoying the sporting action but seemingly forgot that all actions were being captured on camera, reports the Express. Pictures from the event showed the Royal with his eyes closed, propping up his head with one arm, appearing to doze off multiple times. After a brief nap, he woke up and joined in the applause and cheering as the tennis tournament continued. Frederick, aged 46, looked dapper in a blue suit, a white shirt and a powder blue tie. Sophie, on the other hand, who is an actress, wore an elegant white dress adorned with tiny strawberries. Sophie turned heads with baroque-style pearl earrings and a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses to keep the sun at bay. Tennis enthusiast, Lord Frederick Windsor, was also spotted indulging his love for the sport, having graced the Championships on day two, day nine, and day 12. ‌ But it wasn't just royalty that snoozed amidst the thrill of this year's acclaimed tennis contest. Social media buzzed when BBC viewers caught Hugh Grant apparently dozing off during a match at Centre Court. The 64-year-old was there to soak in the Men's Singles Quarter-Final between Novak Djokovic and Flavio Cobolli. ‌ Accompanied by his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein, the film star settled into Centre Court seats. A segment broadcast showed Hugh in the Royal Box, donning shaded sunglasses with his head dipped slightly forward. BBC Sport posted the moment that went viral on X, quipping: "It's all got a bit too much for Hugh Grant," followed by emojis signalling laughter and sleep. ‌ Spectators chimed in, noticing Hugh's drowsy moment, and shared their animated thoughts online. A viewer couldn't help but comment on X: "Not even Djokovic can keep Hugh Grant awake today." A second joked: "Well done Hugh. Exactly what I would have done in the sun." ‌ A third concluded: "Merely resting his eyes". In the end, Jannik Sinner fought back to beat defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in four sets and win Wimbledon for the first time in his career. The Italian No. 1 seed is now a four-time Grand Slam champion. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today.
