Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley branded 'rude' by viewers minutes into ITV show
Good Morning Britain viewers were left fuming after Richard Madeley was 'disrespectful' his co-star on the ITV programme
Richard Madeley has been criticised for his "disrespectful" behaviour towards one of his Good Morning Britain co-stars during a heated debate.
On Wednesday (August 13), Richard and Kate Garraway were at the helm of the ITV programme, joined by newsreader Marverine Cole and journalists Andrew Pierce and Ava Santina-Evans.
The panel was discussing new police guidance aimed at curbing the spread of online misinformation.
However, viewers were left irate when Richard interrupted Marverine as she was speaking about stereotypes, leading to accusations of rudeness from the host.
"People of non-white backgrounds are 'troublemakers' whether they are asylum seekers or not. That was a narrative that never was around when I was younger," Marverine stated.

As she tried to continue her point, Richard interjected, saying: "But the more you withhold that information, when it is released or when it leaks out, it has much more impact because it is a rarity.
"If you actually, completely lift the lid on this and are open every single time somebody is accused, arrested or charged. You're open about who they are, where they're from, you reduce the impact of the rare occasions when it leaks or it leaks inaccurately."
Marverine kept her cool despite the disruption, replying: "I appreciate that, but it goes hand in hand with a rhetoric which is across the country now, which is 'It's got to be a black person, it's got to be an asylum seeker who has done this hideous thing. And if it is, we're going to kick off as a nation. If it is a white person, then it is OK'."
Richard faced a barrage of criticism on social media from viewers, with numerous people branding him disrespectful towards Marverine during the ITV broadcast, reports the Mirror.
"#gmb wish Madeley would stop talking over Marverine, so rude!" one ITV viewer raged.

Another person wrote: "#gmb Richard Madeley shut up let people talk!!!!"
A third commented: "Quite eye opening the way ignoramus Richard Madeley was talking over Marverine Cole trying to get a point across."
A fourth GMB watcher said: "Richard is so disrespectful omg! ! #gmb," whilst a fifth declared: "Ok I remember why I stopped watching #gmb now."

Katie Price says 'poor JJ' as she watches him get surgery while recovering from her own
Former glamour model Katie Price has revealed she watched her boyfriend JJ Slater get cosmetic surgery as she recovers from her latest round of beauty treatments Katie Price has shared her nerves as she watched her boyfriend JJ Slater get surgery. The former glamour model, 47, is recovering from her own latest procedure after jetting to Turkey. She revealed she had another round of cosmetic procedures in Istanbul and can no longer perform basic tasks amid her healing process. However, it hasn't put off her Married At First Sight UK partner as he is going under the knife as well. Katie revealed it was now JJ's turn as she showed off her bandages and prepared to get a very close view. It comes after Katie worried fans with appearance in family photo after explaining weight loss. READ MORE: Princess Andre says she's 'independent' from parents as she breaks silence after Katie Price row She took a selfie while sat in the sun and wore a small bandage above her top lip. Katie shared: "Watching JJ get his surgery we were both so nervous." Despite the nerves, JJ had Katie throughout his procedure. Earlier this week, the mum-of-five was seen leaving Turkey's Trio Clinic with her face heavily bandaged, having undergone a series of enhancements, including a brow lift, eye lift, and lip correction. She appeared upbeat in snaps she shared from the hospital even though her face appeared swollen and in dressings. The latest procedures follow a £10,000 facelift and add to her long list of body modifications. However, it seems to have come at a price as Katie revealed she can no longer smile after her latest operations. Taking to her social media yesterday, the former glamour posted a photo of her brand-new face as she covered her eyes with huge oversized sunglasses. Showing off her plump pout, Katie told her followers: "I can't smile." She hinted it will be a long road to recovery. Katie has often spoken openly about her battle with body image and surgery addiction. Earlier this year while appearing on The Louis Theroux podcast, the mum-of-five admitted that she thinks she has suffered with body dysmorphia all of her life. "I don't ever look in the mirror and think I look good. I never have done. So, there's obviously an underlying issue," she admitted. Katie has allegedly undergone 17 breast augmentations and six facelifts. Her trip abroad for surgery comes amid a sad family rift with her daughter Princess Andre. Katie had claimed she was banned from attending her daughter's 18th birthday part as it was being filmed for her new ITV2 documentary series. Speaking on her podcast, Katie claimed: 'Princess was like 'I'm having a party'. And I wasn't invited because it was for 'filming'. The fact is there's stuff my daughter is doing and I'm not allowed to be seen at any of it.' However, sources told the Mirror that Katie had in fact swerved a meet-up with Princess on her 18th birthday so she could carry on partying abroad instead. They said the 18-year-old had arranged to see her mum on the morning of her birthday in June in London, but Katie failed to appear. A source said: 'It was all in the diary but then Katie claimed she couldn't make it as she was abroad. It was disappointing. 'For Katie to then say she was banned from the afternoon's filmed party when she was the no-show in the morning is just beyond belief.'
