Thibodaux man wins $100K from Powerball ticket
According to the Louisiana Lottery Corporation, Gerald Morrison was a well known customer at A-1 Farms on Highway 70 Spur in Plattenville, where he eventually bought the winning Powerball lottery ticket, paying an extra $1 for the Power Play option, doubling his winnings from $50,000 to $100,000.
What were the mysterious objects flying over Uptown New Orleans?
Morrison and his wife, Janelle, found out that he had won on Friday evening, July 25.
'I couldn't believe it. You always hope for a win like this, but I never really thought I'd hit $100,000 in my lifetime,' said Morrison.
He reportedly intends to use part of the money for a new truck, which he's wanted for some time, and to set aside another portion for his two grandchildren.Latest Posts

The winning numbers were 7, 14, 23, 24 and 60 with a Powerball of 14. The Power Play multiplier was 2x. Powerball jackpot rises Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $501 million, with a cash value of about $229.5 million, for the next drawing Monday, Aug. 11, the national Powerball site said. More than 840,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said.
