Team,I'm delighted to share with you that Nicole Clemens will be joining us as Vice President and Head of International Originals, effective July 7. Nicole is a highly respected and experienced media executive who most recently served as President of Paramount Television Studios, where she led the development and production of a wide range of global hit shows, including our very own Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Reacher, and Cross. Previously, Nicole also held a dual role as President of Original Scripted series for Paramount+, leading the streamer's programming strategy at launch.
In her new role, Nicole will report to me and lead our International Original teams, which will continue building on the incredible success we've seen with global audiences. Last year was our biggest year ever, with more than 140 International Original series & movies produced across more than 20 territories, and our slate for the remainder of 2025 is incredibly strong. Just a few upcoming highlights include the third movie installment in Mercedes Ron's Culpables trilogy (Culpa Nuestra – Spain), along with the first movie from her Dímelo book trilogy in development; returning seasons of hit series including Maxton Hall (Germany), Red Queen (Spain), and Betty La Fea (Colombia); and new projects like Newtopia (Korea), Superboys of Malegaon (India), Graduation Trip: Mallorca (Spain), Costiera (Italy). Nicole will guide our future International Originals slate as we invest for the long term in international series and movies. I'm so proud of the work we've done, and I know Nicole's leadership will take us to even greater heights.
Nicole will onboard and spend a period of time at our Amazon MGM Studios' Culver City HQ, before relocating to London. Our International Originals leaders – including Javiera Balmaceda (Head of International Originals, Latin America, Canada & Australia), Tara Erer (Head of International Originals, Northern Europe), Nicole Morganti (Head of International Originals, Southern Europe) and John Holmes (Director of International Originals Production & Post) – will report directly to Nicole. Nikhil Madhok (Head of International Originals, India) will continue to report into Gaurav Gandhi (VP, Prime Video APAC & MENA) while remaining part of Nicole's leadership team. Marc Hausmaninger (Head of Content Strategy, International Originals) and Sam Semon (Head of International Business Affairs) will also support Nicole and the International Originals team.
I look forward to Nicole joining the Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios family next month and I'm sure you'll provide a warm welcome!

Paramount controlling shareholder Shari Redstone diagnosed with thyroid cancer

Media mogul Shari Redstone, CBS parent Paramount's controlling shareholder, has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. "Shari Redstone was diagnosed with thyroid cancer earlier this spring. While it has been a challenging period, she is maintaining all professional and philanthropic activities throughout her treatment, which is ongoing. She and her family are grateful that her prognosis is excellent," Redstone's spokesperson told Fox News Digital. The 71-year-old has frequently been in the news this year as she seeks the Trump administration's approval of a multibillion-dollar planned merger with Skydance Media and has given lawyers the green light to settle President Donald Trump's election interference lawsuit against CBS News, although no deal has been reached. Redstone wanted the opinion of doctors "about two months ago after experiencing fatigue and other symptoms," according to The New York Times, which first reported the diagnosis. She underwent surgery in May. The Times noted that she was quickly diagnosed and surgeons removed her thyroid gland but were unable to remove all the cancer cells because they'd spread to her vocal cords. Redstone controls more than three-quarters of Paramount's Class A voting shares through National Amusements, the company she took control of in 2016 when her media mogul father, Sumner Redstone, was deemed too incapacitated to run the company. He died in 2020. Redstone, who recused herself from settlement discussions related to the Trump lawsuit in February, isn't thrilled with being tied up in litigation with the sitting president and wants to get things resolved. Fox News Digital confirmed last week that Trump rejected a $15 million offer to settle his lawsuit. The talks are ongoing, but the president's legal team is demanding at least $25 million and an apology from CBS News. Many industry insiders believe the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will wait until the lawsuit is in the rearview mirror before deciding if the planned merger with Skydance Media will be approved. Redstone is set for a significant windfall if she's able to flip Paramount to Skydance. Bloomberg reported last year that she would receive $180 million in severance on top of the roughly $350 million she would pocket from the merger. Skydance Media CEO David Ellison, who would take control of CBS as head of the newly formed Paramount Skydance Corp. if the merger is finalized, was aware of Redstone's cancer diagnosis, according to the Times.

Paramount Plus renews 'Couples Therapy' for season 5 after 30% jump in viewership

The Paramount Plus docuseries "Couples Therapy" saw an explosive Season 4B premiere earlier this month, enough to convince Paramount to order up another season of relationship drama for couples guru Dr Orna Guralnik to unpack. "Couples Therapy" has been renewed for season 5, Paramount Plus announced on Friday. According to Showtime's internal streaming data, the premiere for the second half of Season 4 drew in 30% more viewers than the premiere for the prior season. You can catch all four seasons of "Couples Therapy" on Paramount Plus with Showtime, and new episodes premiere on Fridays. The show features renowned psychologist and psychoanalyst Dr. Orna Guralnik as she skillfully navigates therapy sessions with real-world couples, uncovering raw emotions, painful truths and transformative breakthroughs along the way. So far, season 4B has included a deaf man and his hearing partner struggling to balance sexual freedom with commitment, as well as a therapist-writer couple stuck in a cycle of sacrifice and mounting resentment. "Couples Therapy" first premiered in 2019 and has long been a critical darling. It earned the Television Critics Association (TCA) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming in 2021 and the American Cinema Editors (ACE) Award for Best Edited Non-Scripted Series in 2024. It's also received award nominations from the International Documentary Association, 2023 TCA Awards, 2025 ACE Awards, Cinema Eye Honor Awards and Critics Choice Real TV Awards. With season 5 locked in, that makes "Couples Therapy" the second-longest running series Showtime has on the air. It's beaten only by "The Chi," which debuted in 2018 and was recently renewed for its eighth season. Other Showtime series like its popular survival drama series "Yellowjackets" and spy thriller "The Agency" have also been picked up for additional seasons in recent months. So if you have Paramount Plus right now, there are plenty of quality shows in the pipeline to convince you to keep your subscription. When 'The Life of Chuck' Will Be Available to Stream and How to Watch

When you hear about a Mike Flanagan and Stephen King collab, you're definitely thinking that these kings of horror are getting ready to give us the scare of our life. But, shockingly, The Life of Chuck is anything but! Based off a small story by the iconic author, Mike Flanagan brings this hopeful science fiction story to the big screen! Oh, and did we mention that it stars Tom Hiddleston? Yeah, you're definitely going to want to watch for yourself! Here's everything you need to know about watching The Life of Chuck. The new Neon film came out as a limited release on June 6th and will soon move nationwide on June 13! Since it's a limited release for it's initial release, you might have to travel a bit if you want to see it on the big screen during its first weekend. Fans in Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Denver, Chicago, Boston, and New York can catch the movie starting on June 6. Fans at other cities will have wait June 13, but like all of our favorite films, it won't be on the big screen forever. Make sure to grab tickets ASAP before it leaves your local theater! Since it just came out in theaters, it's still a little too early to catch it on the smaller screen, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to watch it soon! Like most Neon films, there's a good chance that it'll land on Hulu after the two studios struck up a deal to them there. An exact date hasn't been announced yet, but we'll keep an eye out! But if you're not a subscriber, you can still rent or buy it at home via online stores like Prime Video, iTunes, Fandango at Home, YouTube, or Google Play. Or if you're a huge fan, you'll also be able to buy it on Blu-ray and DVD!
