Hollyoaks 'confirms' more deaths in Summer Trailer as killer Jez is caught out
The moment Hollyoaks fans have longed for is almost upon us, as confirmed in the show's brand new Summer Trailer, with the truth about Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) finally set to be revealed.
Jez, as viewers know, has been claiming lives in abundance, having started killing from a young age, with mum Martha (Sherrie Hewson) covering up his crimes.
Since arriving in the village last year (two years in-universe following the time jump), he has murdered Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith), Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) and social worker Ian Stone.
He's also claimed the life of Dennis Savage (Joe Tracini) and started an affair with Liberty (Jessamy Stoddart), all the while preparing to tie the knot with John Paul McQueen (James Sutton).
Fans have waited eagerly to see the killer get his comeuppance and while we've yet to find out if he does, in fact, pay for his crimes, the brand new Summer Trailer confirms that Sienna (Anna Passey) finally sees him for who he truly is, which leaves her in serious danger.
Buckle up fans, you're in for one dramatic summer!
With so much to digest in the preview as Hollyoaks brings back its six weeks of summer theme, Metro thought it fitting to take a deeper dive into the new trailer to look closely at what's to come.
With Jez imminently set to tie the knot on-screen, Hollyoaks has teased the outcome of the wedding, with John Paul left in tears in upcoming scenes as Jez talks about embracing his true killer nature.
Meanwhile, Sienna -who is aware of some of his crimes after she helped him cover up Dilly's death earlier this year – comes to discover that Jez has been harbouring many murderous secrets as she breaks down at the allotment before demanding the truth.
The much-loved character is left in danger as she speeds across the city walls, presumably from her murderous father, but will she manage to get to safety and expose Jez for who he truly is?
The trailer also appears to imply that Jez commits another murder as he's seen seemingly strangling someone at the shed. But who is it?
And hostage Robbie is also freed, with the short preview teasing him in the village – but will he manage to evade Jez's evil grip and perhaps assist Sienna in exposing the dastardly patriarch's murderous ways?
There will be heartbreak this Summer for HayRay fans, with Dillon set to confess his feelings for boyfriend Lucas' dad Ste in a very unexpected turn of events.
The scales fall from Ste's eyes in the wake of Dillon's admission, but is this the beginning of a love triangle? Or is Lucas still the one for Dillon?
Either way, Lucas won't be too happy when he learns what's happened given all that he and Dillon have been through – with the couple deciding to give things another go just a matter of weeks ago.
After giving it some thought, Rex decides to blow the whistle on human trafficking sisters Clare and Grace, landing the pair of them behind bars.
But it seems they might have some help from estranged grandfather Froggy – whether they want it or not! – as she makes quite a debut, claiming that he wants to reconnect with the siblings.
Clare, however, makes it quite clear that she wants nothing less, urging the baddie to stay away from her and Grace. More Trending

With The Dog finally set to reopen its doors and a romance on the cards for he and Diane, Tony is on cloud nine. But Bobby's escape from prison threatens to destroy everything as he struggles with the fact the teen killed Verity.
Mercedes, meanwhile, harbours Bobby at the McQueen residence and Tony finds himself heading down a dark and dangerous path – one that Diane is determined to save her one true love from.

Stopping to pick up a copy of Metro, the Brazilian national descended the stairs of Stockwell Tube Station and boarded the next train. Unbeknownst to him, three officers – named only as Hotel 1, 2 and 3 – sat themselves around him. Moments later, he was shot seven times in the head by police, leaving his body 'unrecognisable'. His devastated mum Maria has been pushing for prosecutions ever since, saying her son was 'educated and civilised' and 'always respected law and order'. The family gathered today at a vigil outside the station, saying it is a 'travesty' no police officer has ever been held accountable. Patricia da Silva Armani, Mr de Menezes' cousin, said: 'He was a completely innocent man. And yet, he was shot in cold blood. 'Nothing can erase the pain of knowing that the life of a hard-working, kind, and honest young man was taken from us out of prejudice and incompetence. 'Jean's memory demands more than words – it demands truth, accountability, and real change. We will not forget. We will not be silent.' But what happened in those fatal few moments on the Tube, and why have the officers have not faced any disciplinary measures? They wrongly thought the Jean Charles was part of the previous day's failed second wave of bomb attacks three weeks after the 7/7 terror attacks. An address in Scotia Road, Tulse Hill, was written on a gym membership card found inside one of the bags where an undetonated bomb was hidden. Police carried out extensive surveillance in the area, where Jean Charles lived in one of those flats with his two cousins. As he left to respond to the faulty alarm, officers believed Jean Charles looked like the CCTV images of one of the bombing suspects Osman Hussain. Jean Charles boarded the bus again to Stockwell Station, went down to the platform and got on the train. Firearms officers boarded the train, with varying accounts of whether or not they spoke to the electrician or not. They had all sat around him, and when Jean Charles stood up, an officer codenamed Hotel 3 grabbed, pinned his arms against his torso and pushed him back into his seat. It is unclear what happens next. Two officers fired a total of 11 shots between them. Seven of them landed in Jean Charles's head and his body was left 'unreconisable'. Police said they had been told to fire directly at suspected suicide bomber's heads – which the Muslim Council of Britain described as a 'shoot-to-kill policy'. Later investigation found the event had the 'hallmarks of a special forces operation, rather than a police one'. No officers were prosecuted, but the Metropolitan Police force was fined for breaching health and safety laws. More Trending Jean Charles's family took the force to the European Court of Human Rights in 2016 over the decision to not charge any officers. But the family lost the challenge, with the force saying the circumstances around his death 'came at a time of unprecedented terrorist threat to London'. They have also been subject to numerous public inquiries, and two separate reports by the Independent Police Complaints Commission. The Met said: 'No officer sets out on duty intent on ending a life. Our sole purpose is the complete opposite – the protection and preservation of life – and we have taken extensive action to address the causes of this tragedy.' Hollyoaks' Nikki Sanderson and Emmerdale star give 'happy' update following soap exit
The former Hollyoaks star, 41, has updated fans after quitting the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson has updated fans following her soap exit after 13 years. The actress, 41, debuted her character Maxine Minniver on the Channel 4 show back in 2012 and featured in some major storylines, including domestic violence and miscarrying a baby. In April 2025, Maxine departed the village in a taxi after making plans to escape the country alongside her daughter, Minnie. Following her soap exit, Nikki has shared a stunning selfie alongside her former Emmerdale star boyfriend Anthony Quinlan, who played Peter Barton on the ITV soap. Taking to Instagram, the pair, who have been dating since 2022, posed for a photo and shared their 'happiness' as they enjoyed a holiday together in Majorca, Spain. Nikki captioned the post: "Another happy holiday had. A short break in the place we love the most." Fans of the two soap stars wasted no time in flooding the comments section with their well wishes for the couple, with one person writing: "Awww you both look really well and happy." A second said, "Lovely picture. I hope you are having a lovely holiday. You look gorgeous." A third gushed, "You make such a lovely couple." Nikki revealed in March that she had quit Hollyoaks after starring as Maxine Minniver for 13 years. If there's one thing the streaming service has mastered, it's the art of a tense thriller with chart-topping shows from across the globe reeling viewers in. In recent weeks, Eric Bana's murder mystery, Untamed, has blown viewers way easily landing the number one spot with its gory, action-packed and intriguing premise. Now, it has a run for its money for top spot with Netflix's latest revenge thriller, To Kill a Monkey, which follows a 'luckless young man [who] turns to cybercrime'. The show from Kemi Adetiba (currently at number eight) stars Stella Damasus and William Benson and tracks our protagonist, Efe, a struggling father whose life unravels when he is caught up in the depths of a cyber conspiracy and attempting outrun the 'fallout of his choices'. Shanty Town: This gritty, six-episode thriller is 'set deep in the heart of the Lagos underworld' and 'offers an intense and raw perspective on life within a brutal crime ring'. Blood Sisters: This Netflix original follows best friends Kemi and Sarah who go on the run together. As the synopsis teases: 'A toxic relationship, a fiery family feud, a deadly scandal. To clear their names two best friends go on the run – and danger lies at every turn.' Lilian Afegabi, who plays Idia in the series, spoke about how much this role has meant to her on her Instagram. More Trending 'Playing Idia was more than just a role. It was a journey of becoming one with a character whose strength, vulnerability, and spirit I poured my soul into. 'I gave everything to bring her to life, and seeing your kind words, messages, and encouragement means the world to me and makes it all worth it,' she wrote.
