Sidharth Malhotra romances Janhvi Kapoor in Param Sundari first look, netizens call it ‘GenZ Chennai Express'; watch
Last week, audiences who went to theatres to watch Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's new film Bhool Chuk Maaf got a pleasant surprise. Before the fantasy rom com began, fans got to exclusively witness the teaser of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's upcoming film Param Sundari, which was attached to Bhool Chuk Maaf. Glimpses soon went viral on social media, leaving netizens gushing over Sidharth's rock solid abs and his cute chemistry with Janhvi. Well, today makers of Param Sundari unveiled the teaser clip as the first look and here's what fans across the internet thought about it.
A post shared by Janhvi Kapoor (@janhvikapoor)
The fifty-six seconds long teaser clip of Param Sundari introduces fans to the handsome Sidharth Malhotra as Punjabi munda Param and the gorgeous Janhvi Kapoor as South beauty Sundari. We then get glimpses of their onscreen romance, shot in the breathtaking landscapes of Kerala. But that's not all! There is also a sneak peak at what looks like action sequences with Sidharth running from goons and Janhvi walking with a koyta (knife) over her shoulder. This does look pretty interesting. But netizens are divided, with several comparing Param Sundari to Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's 2013 blockbuster hit film Chennai Express.
One such internet user predicted, 'Let me guess, SM goes to Kerala on a business trip and falls in love with JK and then they convince their families and get married? Little bit of 2 states and Chennai Express rom-com ingredients,' whereas another called Param Sundari: 'GenZ Chennai express. Hehe 😜.' Another comment read, 'But I've already seen chennai express 🥱,' whereas a netizen opined, 'it's giving chennai express minus the funny part Alsoooo janhvi gets to live her dream w the South Indian character.' Then there were reviews where fans expressed mixed feelings. For instance, one comment read, 'Sad this looks exactly like the kind of movie I've been waiting for but it has Janhvi in it. I just cannot watch her :(,' whereas another wrote, 'Smart move to not include any 'acting scenes'. Sid looks really good though!' A netizen shared, 'Idc if the story is predictable, i'm in need of a good rom-com. This doesn't even require much of acting skills so they both will do fine, anyways sid looks so hot and janhvi looks pretty too,' whereas another internet user commented, 'This isn't bad...so that's like the first hurdle passed. Might actually work, get 100-120 cr in and both careers will receive a significant boost.'
Are you looking forward to witnessing Janhvi and Sidharth in Param Sundari when the film arrives in theatres on July 25?

Exclusive: Anees Bazmee reacts to Diljit Dosanjh's exit from No Entry 2
The announcement of 'No Entry 2' left fans feeling both nostalgic and excited. The sequel to the 2005 comedy classic was set to feature Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh, along with a host of female actors. The film was scheduled to go on floors in March, but a shift in the timeline has left the project in limbo, with reports suggesting that Diljit has backed out. It was said that the global star had creative differences with the team, prompting his in an exclusive conversation with India Today, director Anees Bazmee confirmed that the issue lies more with scheduling than with creative disagreements. He also expressed optimism that the situation could still be the speculation around Diljit's departure, Bazmee said that when there are "big films, it also makes big noise". He further spoke about his interactions with the Punjabi superstar, "Diljit is a fantastic actor. He is a very nice human being. Although I haven't had many meetings with him, we just got together twice. The first time I met him, it was for 10 minutes. I narrated the story to him, and in just two minutes, he was sold. He mentioned how he liked the story, found it fun, and was excited to do it. Diljit also shared that 'No Entry' is one of his favourite films, and he has seen it multiple times. He was actually quite eager to be a part of it."advertisement Praising the actor-singer's quick decision-making skills, the filmmaker added, "He is a very nice human being, so simple, and I think he will grow on to be a fabulous actor. He is also sharp and smart, as he can make a decision so quickly. I have always admired artists who have such intuition and can grasp the essence of a film in a single sitting. They should know who they want to work with, what roles suit them and can make those decisions swiftly. He did want to do the film, but when I met him recently, we realised there was an issue with the dates. No Entry 2 is going to be a very big film with a huge cast and crew. There are so many actors, and it's important for us that everyone can come together. I think they are figuring out the dates, and I am hopeful it will work out. But whatever happens, it will be for the good. I have that faith for sure."When asked about when he plans to get the film on the floors, Anees Bazmee said, "Bohot jald (Very soon). As soon as we get clearance from everyone, we will start. I have been with Boney ji (producer Boney Kapoor) for 7-8 years now, working on this film. We have seen many ups and downs, but we are on it. I am the kind of person who sticks to his commitment. And when there's love, you don't think of loss and profit. You just want to be together and make a food film. And trust me, it is going to be a beautiful film and a lot of fun. It's still on paper, so many will not know, but I can assure you it's an amazing story." You May Also Like
