The bathroom buy that looks nice but makes your home ‘the most unhygienic' house ever, according to a cleaning pro
IF you've recently moved house or are looking to decorate, then you may want to take note.
That's because a professional cleaner has listed the five common items she'd never have in her home - and it's not good news if you've opted for a cute rug under the toilet.

Explaining why in a clip shared to TikTok, the cleaning whizz said ''these must be the most unhygienic things you can have in your house''.
So while it may elevate your bathroom - and keep your feet warm during the colder months - it may be best to avoid jumping on this trend.
Moving on, she pointed out that she'd also never have a silicone toilet brush.
While many of us tend to assume this loo brush alternative works better to keep everything sparkling, the expert warned that this is a myth.
''What's more unhygienic than not being able to scrub s**t off a toilet with one of these?'' blasted the expert who posts under the username @ behind.the.sofa.c.
Next up, she strongly advised homeowners to steer clear of opting for black furniture because of how much it shows marks, while she pointed out that matt cupboards are a no-go.
''Big no-no from us. They look lovely until you use them and if you don't know how to clean them then they tend be left looking like this,'' she said, sharing a snap of greasy fingerprints left on the surface.
Not stopping there, the cleaning pro added that horizontal blinds are also on her hit list because of the amount of dust that gets collected in the crevices.
While horizontal blinds are a common feature in millions of houses across the world, they gather dust ''like there's no tomorrow and they're a pain to clean''.
Last but certainly not least in her list of no-nos were also high windows.
Mrs Hinch loves it but it's the most toxic cleaning product ever… I've seen it do so much damage & I'm a pro cleaner
Although ''they can look lovely'' and are ideal for checking out the glorious nighttime sky, this house feature is ''a target for birds to leave s**t on''.
It wasn't long before the video went viral garnering close to 2million views and hundreds of comments, with very mixed responses.

10 Grossest Areas People Forget to Clean
By Danielle Mason, who has 20 years of experience
Under and Behind the Fridge
Crumbs, dust, and spills accumulate over time, attracting pests and creating bad odours.
Shower Curtain & Liner
These collect mildew and soap scum but are often overlooked. Wash or replace them regularly to keep your bathroom fresh.
Toothbrush Holder
One of the germiest places in the bathroom, filled with bacteria and toothpaste residue. Rinse and disinfect it weekly.
Dishwasher Filter
Food particles and grease build up, leading to unpleasant smells and reduced efficiency. Remove and clean the filter every few weeks.
Washing Machine Seal
The rubber gasket traps mould, mildew, and detergent buildup. Wipe it down with white vinegar and leave the door open to air dry.
Light Switches and Remote Controls
Touched daily but rarely cleaned, making them germ hotspots. Wipe them down with disinfectant regularly.
Under the Sofa Cushions
Crumbs, dust, and even lost items hide in the cracks. Remove the cushions and vacuum thoroughly.
Kitchen Sink & Plughole
Food residue builds up, causing bad odours. Pour boiling water, bicarbonate of soda, and vinegar down the drain to freshen it.
Ceiling Fans
Dust piles up on the blades and gets redistributed into the air when turned on. Use a microfibre cloth or pillowcase to clean them easily.
Doormats
They trap dirt and bacteria from shoes but are rarely washed or vacuumed. Shake them out weekly and deep clean them every month.

''It's gets washed every time I clean the bathroom.''
Another chimed in: ''blinds are super easy to clean tho, you just lay them flat, and wipe the dust off.''
Someone else thought: ''the point of the silicon toilet brush is that they are to be used at time of pan dirtying. not days later.
''They are effective when used in a timely manner.''
''The flat silicone toilet brushes are useless, but the round ones are the best. The core of them is firmer so they clean as good as a regular toilet brush and it's easier to clean too,'' a viewer commented.

Bella Hadid shows off her cowgirl skills with BF at horse competition
Bella Hadid put her horsemanship to the test this weekend in Fort Worth, Texas, as she competed in the Horse Cutting championships in Las Vegas. Her cowboy boyfriend, Adan Banuelos, was at the show and held her hand as they rode out of the ring side by side. Bella looked at home on her horse in a black-and-white checked shirt, beige chaps over jeans, and a white cowboy hat. It's unclear how long Bella and Adan have been dating. They were first spotted together in October 2023, walking through the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Bella, who was trained in equestrian skills during her youth, went public with Adan on Valentine's Day in 2024, sharing images of him and calling him: 'My Valentine.' She began training in cutting alongside Adan. Cutting is a western-style equestrian competition in which a horse and rider work together before a judge or panel of judges to demonstrate the horse's athleticism and ability to handle cattle. In April, Bella revealed she would be taking a step back from modeling after moving to Texas with her 'partner'. 'For the first time now, I'm not putting on a fake face. If I don't feel good, I won't go. If I don't feel good, I take time for myself,' she told Allure. 'And I've never had the opportunity to do that or say that before,' she continued. 'Now when anybody sees me in pictures and they say, I look happy, I genuinely am. I am feeling better; my bad days now were my old good days.' Winner: In 2024, she was crowned the NCHA Limited Age Event Rookie of the Year Peace: In interviews, Bella has said she feels most at peace when she's with horses or in nature

‘It's more frustration with you guys' – Rory McIlroy explains skipping media in tense interview after US Open nightmare
RORY MCILORY insists he's "earned the right to do whatever I want to do" after snubbing the press after his first two US Open Rounds. The Masters champion declined to speak to the world's media after his first two rounds at Oakmont in an apparent response to the coverage of his use of an illegal driver at last month's PGA Championship. 4 4 The 36-year-old eventually spoke with the press after his four-over 74 round on Saturday and didn't hold back in his first post-round interview since Augusta. He said of his brief blackout: "It's just frustration with you guys [some sections of the media]. "I have been totally available for the past number of years. "That [driver issue] was a part of it, but at Augusta, I skipped you guys on Thursday. It's not out of the ordinary as I've done it before, but I am doing it a little more often. "I feel like I've earned the right to do whatever I want to do." McIlroy's form has fallen off a cliff since sealing his career Grand Slam in April. He looked certain to miss the cut — like defending champion Bryson DeChambeau and plenty of other big names — until he conjured two birdies in the last four holes of his second round. JOIN SUN VEGAS: GET £50 BONUS Inside Rory McIlroy's whirlwind love life RORY MCILROY enjoyed a high-profile romance with former tennis world number one Caroline Wozniacki before their split in 2014. The following year, the golf ace began dating Erica Stoll, who he had first met on the PGA Tour in 2011. Erica often interacted with players through her role as the PGA's manager of championship volunteer operations. She even prevented McIlroy from missing his tee time at the 2012 Ryder Cup after some confusion over the time zone. The incident began a firm friendship between the pair, four years before their relationship turned romantic. McIlroy and Erica were spotted on a string of dates in Rochester, New York, in the early days of their relationship. Just eight months later, the couple got engaged in Paris and walked down the aisle at Ashford Castle in Ireland in 2017. The pair then welcomed daughter Poppy into the world three years later. Throughout their time together, McIlroy and Erica have kept their relationship to themselves, with the golfer keen to protect his family from the cameras during filming of Netflix's Full Swing documentary series. However, after seven years of marriage, McIlroy filed for divorce from Erica. The reasons for the divorce were not disclosed, but the Northern Irishman submitted documents to a court in Florida. However, a few weeks later, performed a U-turn on their decision to divorce. McIlroy told the outlet: "Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.' And McIlory admitted his lack of motivation is so bad that he would not have worried if he had missed the cut. He said: 'I was thinking, 'Do I really want two more days here?'. So it makes it easier to play better in that mindset. Rory McIlroy reacts to PGA Championship delay 'You don't know how you're going to react to something like my Masters win — something I'd dreamt about for a long time. And, yeah, I have felt a little flat on the golf course afterwards. 'I actually feel I've played OK this week. It's a golf course where the tiniest mistakes get penalised.' Given his mindset, it is no surprise McIlroy's faint US Open hopes vanished with a whimper rather than a roar. A four-over-par 74 kept the Northern Irishman among the back markers, and in this mood, he will do well to improve on his 47th-place finish at the USPGA a few weeks ago. At times, it has looked as if McIlroy has been going through the motions since Augusta, especially when he finished 149th out of 153 finishers in the Canadian Open last week. Sadly, Oakmont has proved another example of McIlroy playing without his usual drive and desire. It was hard to avoid the suspicion that he set out yesterday knowing he was unlikely to make significant inroads on the nine-shot gap that separated him from 36-hole leader Sam Burns — especially on a front nine that has proved a minefield for the world No 2. McIlroy played the opening stretch in NINE OVER PAR over the first two days, while shooting three under on the back nine. The front nine is the tougher half — but not that much harder. Marc Leishman and Corey Conners, in the groups just behind McIlroy, underlined that fact by both playing the first nine holes in three under yesterday, although both found it much tougher after the turn. McIlroy needed a fast start to round three to have any chance of a miracle fightback, but a bogey on the third meant he was quickly heading in the wrong direction. Another shot went at the ninth and even though he finally made his first birdie at the tenth, he gave it straight back by finding a bunker on the 11th. A rueful shrug of the shoulders was the only reaction when he missed a tiddler for par at the 14th. And another shot went with a three-putt on the 16th. The relatively easy 17th, where he demolished the tee marker 24 hours earlier, yielded a second birdie. Almost inevitably, that shot was handed back at the last, dropping the five-time Major winner to ten over. Asked what he was hoping for in his final round, McIlroy added: "Hopefully a round in under four and a half hours and get out of here."
