Spice Girls ‘will reunite for 30th anniversary world tour'

The Spice Girls are reportedly planning to reunite for a world tour to mark their 30th anniversary.
Stars Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B and Mel C are said to be secretly planning a reunion of their former pop group with meetings in Miami next week.
The group, however, will be one spice short, as Posh Spice – Victoria Beckham – has told friends that she is '90 per cent out of the running', according to The Sun.
The 51-year-old, who runs her own eponymous fashion and beauty lines, has 'pretty much ruled herself out', the newspaper reported.
Halliwell is said to be back in touch with the music mogul Simon Fuller to mastermind the long-rumoured reunion.
A source told the publication: 'There have been rumours swirling for months, but Geri has always been too busy and had other things on, preventing her from saying 'yes'.
'Nothing is yet confirmed but Geri and Simon are back in touch with a myriad of exciting ideas.
'Unfortunately Victoria has pretty much ruled herself out, but there is still a world in which she could do some sort of avatar appearance or a special one-off thing. She would always want to honour the girls' history.'
The reunion rumours come after Mel B told The Telegraph Magazine in March last year: 'I'm planning on reuniting with the Spice Girls but there's no announcement yet.
'The Spice Girls is one of my priorities in life, it's what launched me.'
She is not the only former band member to have previously hinted at a reunion of the popular nineties pop band.
Just last month, Halliwell told The Times that she hopes the group 'come back together as a collective,' explaining that it was 'more respectful to come as one'.
The 52-year-old, who formed the five-member band in 1994, fanned the reunion rumour flames by conclusively stating: 'There will be something.'
She added: 'We'll come as one. We love each other. I love them, I care about them, we want the best for each other.
'We shared something so monumental. We've always believed in each other, had trust in each other, which is beautiful.'
She is said to be meeting with Fuller later this week in Miami, where she will be supporting her husband, Christian Horner – who is the Red Bull Formula 1 team principal – at the Grand Prix.
If the reunion does take place, it would coincide with the 30th anniversary of the band's debut hit single, Wannabe, in 1996.
The song propelled The Spice Girls to global stardom, selling more than 100 million records and achieving nine number one singles before Halliwell quit in 1998.
The group last toured, without Posh Spice, in 2019, for which they each made £4.4 million. Before that, they had all reunited for one performance at the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012.
