Few rookie draft classes in NFL history have ever had the kind of success that the Philadelphia Eagles saw with their 2024 group.

Quinyon Mitchell finished second in the Defensive Rookie of the Year vote, Jalyx Hunt provided quality depth in key moments later in the season, and even Will Shipley saw some solid playing time.
If we're discussing impact, though, no rookie solved a bigger piece to Philadelphia's piece to the puzzle than second-round corner Cooper DeJean.
The Iowa product missed the first four games of the season with a hamstring injury, but entered the year in Week 5. Following his arrival into the starting lineup, the Eagles became the best defense in football almost overnight.
DeJean quickly became a household name. His pick-six in Super Bowl LIX was a turning point in the game and showed just how impactful he had been.

Despite that previous success, DeJean knows he has plenty to do to continue to show he can be an elite player.
'I don't think, whether I've become more popular in the city or whatever, I don't think that's changed who I am as a person,' said DeJean. 'I'm still continuing to work, and to try and be the best I can be at my job. There are a lot of things I can get better at coming off of last season, that I can be ready for this season."
DeJean's understanding shows that the Eagles have players who are never satisfied with where they currently are.
It's a big reason why they remain as one of the top contenders moving forward in the 2025 season and beyond.

Police seek 4 teens in shooting that wounded bystander near Wrigley Field
Chicago Police have issued a community alert asking for help in finding four teens wanted in a shooting that wounded a bystander right across from Wrigley Field last month. Police said a 26-year-old man was shot in the arm around 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Sheffield and Waveland avenues, across from the northeast corner of the ballpark and near the famous Murphy's Bleachers bar. Witnesses described a group of teens getting into a quarrel next to Murphy's Bleachers before the shooting. Police have identified four boys believed to be between the ages of 15 and 17, all of whom they say were involved in discharging the gun. Police released surveillance video of the teenage boys on an 'L' train. Chicago Police Chicago police took a person of interest in custody right after the shooting, but that person was released without charges the following day. Anyone with information about the boys being sought in the shooting is asked to call Belmont Area detectives at 312-744-8261, or submit an anonymous tip to and use reference #JJ-256188.

'Certainly all the indications, if you look at it logically, are that he's coming based on his comments about, 'There's a team that plays in Chicago (this year) that I might play for,' 'I'm not playing in New Orleans.' 'He took one visit, he's been throwing with DK Metcalf, he talks all the time with (head coach) Mike Tomlin, I know he's talked with (offensive coordinator) Arthur Smith. There's all these signs that he's coming but he's not affirmatively said, 'Hey, June 9, book me the ticket, I'm coming in and I'm going to join this team.' That has not happened as of this point.' Mike Trout had three hits, including a three-run, 454-foot homer off the left-center field light stanchion in the Angels' six-run first inning on Monday night and Los Angeles held on to beat the Boston Red Sox 7-6. Zach Neto homered to lead off the game, and the Angels opened a 5-0 lead before before Red Sox starter Richard Fitts (0-3) recorded his first out. Jo Adell also homered in the first and added another solo shot in the sixth after Boston cut the lead to 6-5.
