The Cowboys and the Ravens are set to battle it out at 7 PM ET on Saturday, August 16.
Last week, the Cowboys made the expected move to start Milton over Prescott, who was sidelined in street clothes for the first week of the preseason.
As Milton was in the midst of his matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, the young veteran ended up suffering a shoulder injury late in the game. He likely didn't have a ton of reps left, but the Cowboys pulled him out prematurely.

After the game, the Cowboys confirmed that Milton was dealing with a shoulder injury and would have to undergo further testing to make sure he was healthy enough to avoid missing time.

Since then, the recovery has gone fast and well for Milton.
This offseason, Milton landed with the Cowboys via trade. Last year, Milton entered the NFL after his run at Tennessee. During the 2024 NFL Draft, Milton was picked up by the New England Patriots in the sixth round with the 193rd pick. He appeared in just one game with the Patriots last year.
During his lone matchup as a rookie, Milton completed 22 of his 29 pass attempts. With a 76-percent completion rate, Milton threw for 241 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed 10 times for 16 yards and a touchdown. With a small sample size, the Patriots landed a fifth-round pick for Milton and a seventh-rounder.
The Cowboys quarterback is looking to spend the 2025 NFL season backing up Prescott, who is set to return from a hamstring injury.

Gunnar Helm impresses in second NFL preseason game

Gunnar Helm flashes his potential against the Falcons' secondary In the NFL Draft just a few months ago, the Tennessee Titans made Gunnar Helm's dream come true when they picked him in the fourth round. The Titans envisioned Helm being a weapon in the passing game like he was at Texas. After a quiet preseason opener, he flashed his potential on Saturday afternoon against the Atlanta Falcons. Against the Falcons' secondary, the former Longhorn led the Titans in receptions with four and receiving yards with 48. He also found the end zone once and averaged 12 yards a catch. For many in Tennessee, it was a welcome sign after Helm recorded just one catch last week against the Buccaneers. As Helm got more settled in looked like the tight end who was a popular target for Arch Manning and Quinn Ewers. In his last season as a Longhorn, Helm set career highs in receptions with 60, receiving yards with 786, and games played with 16. He was also a popular target in the red zone, adding seven touchdowns to his resume. Due to his play, Helm was a popular prospect leading up to the draft. When the Titans got the chance, they added him to a tight end room that includes a few veteran pieces. At the moment, Chig Okonkwo is listed as the starter. However, he only has one year left on his rookie deal, which could open more playing time for Helm if he can replicate his success from the 2024 campaign. With the regular season quickly approaching, it will be interesting to see how Helm is used. He has the potential to be a threat in the passing game and is making the most of his opportunities. However, he will have to battle with a highly motivated Okonkwo who is looking to prove he deserves a long-term deal. Regardless of who the depth chart shakes out, Helm showed on Saturday just how much of an impact he can make with the ball in his hands.

Both of those things keep him very active in the NFL world despite being retired. While he has not been very public when it comes to the Raiders, he has been rumored to be very involved with how the team is building. It has been awhile since Las Vegas was viewed as a legitimate contender in the AFC. Entering the 2025 NFL season, there is hope that the Raiders will begin turning things around under new head coach Pete Carroll. It didn't take long for NFL fans to begin commenting about his appearance. "Imagine showing a Raiders fan this in 2002," one fan said. Another comment read, "Wish we got to see the shoulder pads and helmet version of this." "They should put Brady on the depth chart... just in case," a third fan wrote. A fourth comment stated, "As a kid from the Peninsula, this just isn't right." "Could still drop 40 passing TDs," a fifth fan wrote. Even though he's no longer playing football, Brady is still one of the most popular names in the NFL. His voice carries a lot of weight. Seeing him rocking Las Vegas gear is still strange.
