The one thing
Gul Panag
misses the most during the monsoon is flying. A certified pilot for nearly a decade, the actress has long nurtured her passion for aviation. However, seasonal limitations — especially heavy rains — often ground her, putting a pause on her time in the skies.
'I miss flying during the monsoon,' Gul shares, adding, 'My license is under Visual Flight Rules (VFR), which means I have to rely on sight to fly. Unlike commercial planes, I can't navigate using instruments. Visibility must be at least five nautical miles.'
The actress, who loves taking off from Mumbai's Juhu airport, started taking flying lessons at the age of 32. 'In 2016, I finished the required flight hours, cleared the exams and got my license.
I've been a licensed pilot for eight years now,' says the Bypass Road actress.
Clarifying that she only flies recreationally, Gul adds, 'Flying is a passion of mine, something I pursue as a hobby. I will fly out of Juhu and when I am overseas, I go to a club. The most beautiful moments in the sky come during the months before monsoon. My favourite flights are the last departures from Juhu before sunset. The skies are beautiful, and the sunsets are pleasant.'

Ask her about the route she takes, and she shares, 'We have a designated route — take off from Juhu, go into sea and take a right turn towards Essel World… there is a circuit, so we don't come into the Santacruz airspace. The flight offers an unforgettable view, flying over Juhu beach against the backdrop of a glowing sunset.'
While her passion for flying dates to her college days, she always knew it wouldn't be a career path. 'I wanted to learn, but I was clear that I didn't want to pursue it professionally. I'm not someone who can do the same thing every single day,' she says.

IVE unveils darker side in 'Evil Cupid' trailer for upcoming album 'IVE Secret'

IVE's Scret Cupid The beloved K-pop girl group IVE, famous for their upbeat tracks, has just unleashed a trailer that's sparking all kinds of chatter. Dropped by Starship Entertainment on YouTube, it showcases the 'Evil Cupid' theme for their fourth mini album, 'IVE Secret'. Ditching the usual hearts and blooms, the members dive into hidden mischief, like casually dropping tumblers with a sly smirk or yanking a revolver from a Cupid handbook. This vibe shift goes beyond looks; it's a smart play on duality, mixing lighthearted fun with shadowy undertones in a way that feels totally fresh. In the bright daylight scenes, the girls beam with cheerful grins, but there's this subtle chill hinting at Cupid's secretive other side. It's building suspense like those edge-of-your-seat thriller shows we can't stop watching, drawing you in deeper with every frame. Adding to the intrigue, the trailer weaves in symbolic elements that suggest deeper stories, making you wonder what's really bubbling under the surface of their polished personas. Dark Vibes and Fiery Moves As the trailer ramps up, the mood switches dramatically. IVE's members take aim at unicorns with revolvers (yeah, it's as bizarre as it sounds) or set paper cranes ablaze, shedding the pure romance image for a dash of rebellious flair. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like U.S. Cardiologist Warns About Blueberries For Breakfast Gundry MD Learn More Undo Emerging from the shadows in sleek black outfits, they tease bits of the upcoming songs. Lines like "Unveil the veil, secretive myth / Good and evil coexist right in my expression" pack a punch, hinting at those inner battles we all face, blending emotions in tracks that promise to hit home. Pushing boundaries, the album steps away from straightforward tales, uncovering layered personalities and unspoken attitudes. The title track 'XOXZ' along with the rest spotlight contrasts like surface charm clashing with hidden chaos, or the blend of light and dark within the group dynamic. It's that clever commentary on how we all juggle different sides of ourselves, delivered with a wink and a nod that makes the whole thing irresistibly fun. Imagine the members channeling this energy live - it'd be a performance full of surprises, keeping fans guessing from start to finish. Album Drop Alert Get ready to hit play, because 'IVE Secret' lands on major music platforms at 6 PM on the 25th. This release rides the wave of K-pop's creative evolution, with groups like IVE constantly reinventing their image to keep things exciting. The trailer's bold concept plays into trends where themes of duality spark curiosity, much like stories that mix romance with unexpected twists. It's clever, it's daring, and it's got everyone buzzing - IVE is showing that even mythical figures like Cupid can have a mischievous streak waiting to break free! Expanding on the excitement, this fresh approach invites listeners to explore their own complexities through music that's equal parts playful and profound. Industry voices highlight how such innovative ideas keep the genre vibrant, turning simple songs into experiences that linger long after the beat drops. With humor laced into the edge, it's a reminder that K-pop thrives on surprise, making 'IVE Secret' a must-listen for anyone who loves a good sonic adventure.
