Company in Coldplay 'Kiss Cam' scandal releases Gwyneth Paltrow ad

Gwyneth Paltrow is consciously teaming up with Astronomer.
A decade after the "Shakespeare in Love" actress, 52, and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 48, announced their "conscious uncoupling," the Oscar winner is lending a hand to the data tech company following a controversy involving its former CEO and HR chief at her ex-husband's concert.
In the video released July 25, the "temporary spokesperson" said she was "hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer," adding that the company "has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones."

Astronomer was thrust into the spotlight earlier this month when a video went viral showing a man and a woman embracing each other before quickly letting go and ducking out of view when a "Kiss Cam" put them in the spotlight at a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. "Uh oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy," Martin quipped at the July 16 concert.
But in the newly released clip, text appeared and said, "OMG! What the actual" before Paltrow answered a different question: "Yes, Astronomer is the best place to run Apache Airflow, we've been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data automation."
"As for the other questions we've received," Paltrow said cheekily as text popped up on screen, "How is your social media team holding" before she again answered a different question. Martin and Paltrow were married from 2003 to 2016 and share two children: 21-year-old Apple Martin and Moses Martin, 19.
"We will now be returning to what we do best: delivering game-changing results for our customers," Paltrow said before the video ended. "Thank you for your interest in Astronomer."
Astronomer released a statement July 19, on social media platform X and on job networking site LinkedIn, saying that its former CEO "Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted."
"As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding," Astronomer's statement reads. "Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met." The company's HR chief Kristin Cabot has also reportedly resigned, according to CNBC and BBC.

Gwyneth Paltrow's crude nickname for ‘frenemy' Winona Ryder revealed

A new book about Gwyneth Paltrow reveals the rumored savage nickname the Goop founder once had for fellow actress Winona Ryder. Author Amy Odell interviewed over 220 people, some on the record and others anonymously, for Gwyneth: The Biography, which hit shelves Tuesday. Paltrow's publicist reportedly told Odell that the Iron Man star would only participate in the book's formation if allowed to 'fact-check.' Odell declined, and that was the end of communication with Paltrow's team, per The Guardian. In the book, Odell alleged Paltrow, 52, started calling Ryder 'Vagina Ryder' after suspecting the Beetlejuice star was fabricating stories for attention, according to the Daily Mail. The nickname reportedly came about in the late 1990s while Ryder was dating Matt Damon and Paltrow was seeing his friend Ben Affleck. Ryder claimed she was robbed twice after fights with Damon, per the book. 'Damon consoled her, but Gwyneth and Affleck believed Ryder fabricated the robberies as a ploy for attention (there's no proof of this),' Odell wrote in the book, per the Daily Mail. 'Gwyneth was annoyed that Damon couldn't see it. Though Damon was kind to her friends, Gwyneth didn't seem to like him after that,' she continued. 'Her friendship with Ryder would only deteriorate further, and Gwyneth gave her the nickname 'Vagina Ryder.'' The Independent has contacted representatives for Paltrow and Ryder for comment. Elsewhere in the new book, Odell claimed Paltrow took the lead role in 1998's Shakespeare in Love from Ryder after initially passing on the part, People reported. 'After a story about Gwyneth allegedly stealing the script from Winona's coffee table reached the media, Gwyneth told friends that Ryder had started the rumor, and insisted she'd received the script through her agent,' Odell wrote. Although neither Ryder nor Paltrow has publicly addressed their rumored feud, Paltrow alluded to a toxic friendship in a 2009 Goop blog post. 'Back in the day, I had a 'frenemy' who, as it turned out, was pretty hell-bent on taking me down,' Paltrow wrote. 'This person really did what they could to hurt me.' 'I was deeply upset, I was angry, I was all of those things you feel when you find out that someone you thought you liked was venomous and dangerous,' she continued. 'I restrained myself from fighting back. … But one day I heard that something unfortunate and humiliating had happened to this person. And my reaction was deep relief and happiness,' Paltrow said at the time. Solve the daily Crossword

After ending his tour in Miami, Chris Martin was seen at this Little Havana restaurant

Chris Martin has been a busy rock star lately, burning up calories jumping around the stage and calling out people on the Kiss Cam. On Monday afternoon, the Coldplay singer was seen grabbing a late lunch at Ball & Chain in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood, spies told us. We didn't get details of his order, but the former vegetarian is a meat eater these days and could have chosen from a variety of specialties including Chicken Fricassee, Masitas de Puerco and Ropa Vieja. The details we did get was that upon leaving he gave a staffer one of the 'Love' pin souvenirs from the band's Music of the Spheres World Tour. The night before, Martin and the guys had just wrapped the U.S. leg of the tour with a pair of weekend shows at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. As is tradution, the so-called Kiss Cam panned on the crowd, singling out a few Florida Panthers players as well as soccer star Leo Messi and his wife. No scandal was detected unlike earlier this month, during Coldplay's show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The Jumbotron capture a cozy looking couple up in the VIP section who were in a romantic clinch. When they saw themselves up on the big screen, they ducked out of sight. Martin joked that the mortified looking pair was either 'shy' or 'having an affair.' Yeppers. The man was Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, married with two kids. The woman, his top HR executive Kristin Cabot, is also married. After the embarrassing clip of the coworkers went beyond viral, both resigned from their positions at the AI tech company. Martin never publicly discussed the scandal, but his ex wife Gwyneth Paltrow was hired by the AI tech company to do damage control as their unofficial spokesperson. A source told People magazine the Oscar winner found the situation amusing and jumped on the opportunity (word is the actress' payday was in the millions). 'Gwyneth has a really great sense of humor and it felt funny enough for her to do,' the source dished. 'I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer,' Paltrow says in the promo. 'We've been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation.'

So, are Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas dating? Here's everything to know about their rumored relationship. They sparked dating rumors in February 2025 In February 2025, Cruise and de Armas were spotted having dinner together in London, per the Daily Mail. They were photographed chatting with fans and posing for photos before they hopped into a taxi together. Though the outing prompted speculation that the two were dating, a source told PEOPLE at the time that the dinner was purely professional. The insider said that both Cruise and de Armas were accompanied by their agents and discussed 'potential collaborations down the line.' The source added that they 'appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends." They've been spotted together multiple times After their first outing, Cruise and de Armas were seen together again in London in March 2025 — only this time they arrived in true action hero style on a helicopter. However, a source later told PEOPLE that the meeting was again about their upcoming project and that director Doug Liman joined them. Cruise and de Armas took another helicopter ride in April 2025, landing in London from Madrid. This time, the actress brought along her two dogs, Elvis and Salsa. Liman also joined. The following day, the pair were spotted taking a walk through a park on de Armas' 37th birthday. A few days later, in May, they were seen leaving a party together for David Beckham's 50th birthday in Notting Hill, in photos shared by the Daily Mail. In an Instagram clip posted that same month, the actor said that he saw Ballerina and it 'kicks a--.' Weeks later, at the June 3 premiere of Ballerina, de Armas told Variety that Cruise's support for the movie had been "unbelievable" and "really amazing." "But you know what, he supports every movie. He really wants the industry and cinema to go well and people going to the theaters," de Armas said. "We're working together, so he got to see Ballerina and he actually really liked it. He loved the John Wicks." "It is very special that someone like him is supporting [Ballerina]," she added. "It is really special in general to have other actors and people supporting each other. We can do well all together." She called Cruise's stuntwork 'mind-blowing' In an April 2023 interview with USA Today, the actress praised Cruise for doing his own stunts in Mission: Impossible following the stuntwork she did in Ghosted. 'It's demanding and painful and your body is hurting everywhere, but it's also very rewarding as I saw myself getting better at it,' de Armas said, adding that she was 'not at a Tom Cruise level yet.' She continued, 'But I can appreciate what he does 100% now, and I totally get why he does it. He's so mind-blowing.' She confirmed they're working together In May 2025, the Knives Out actress confirmed that she was working on multiple projects with Cruise. "We're definitely working on a lot of things,' she said in an interview on Good Morning America. 'Not just one but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom.
