FOR Virgin Island star Ben Harris, a two-week stint in Croatia to learn about sex with intimacy experts has been life-changing - but not for the reason you might expect.
The 31-year-old took part in the popular Channel 4 show last year having struggled to go "all the way" with previous partners.

He bravely opened up about his sex life - or lack, thereof - on camera in a bid to 'embrace his sexual energy' and help him lose his virginity.
But within a week of arriving back in the UK, parliamentary researcher Ben faced another challenge when then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced a general election.
Despite hitting the ground running campaigning for Michael Fabricant MP, Ben became unemployed when the Conservative lost his seat on July 4.
It meant that not only did Ben lose his job, but he also lost his newly acquired sex drive as he was forced to put his career first.
Speaking to The Sun about his experience, Ben reveals he is still a virgin - but now has the tools he needed to have sex for the first time.
"It wasn't like I was going there to lose my virginity," says Ben, who has a newfound confidence since filming Virgin Island.
"But it's changed how I feel about being a virgin. I'm not proud so to speak, but I'm no longer ashamed of it in the same way I was.
"Now I feel I have the tools that I didn't have before and the confidence and the mindset to do it now when I meet the right person."
Ben took a couple of weeks off from his job in the House of Commons after telling boss Michael about Virgin Island last May. Michael followed in Ben's footsteps by going into television when he starred in this year's Celebrity Big Brother.
Although he has not lost his virgin status, Ben has been speed-dating with his TV co-star Viraj and has been on several dates with three women over the past year.

Ben added: "I really enjoyed working with the Virgin Island therapists. They made me look at myself in a different mindset.
"I'm actually not ugly. I mean, I'm not a 10 out of 10, but I'm also not a two out of 10 like what I thought I was.
"And while I have faced more rejection since, I am now able to process these setbacks in a much healthier and more positive way."

JoJo Siwa says Celebrity Big Brother housemate's homophobia was ‘hard to take'

JoJo Siwa revealed that Mickey Rourke made homophobic remarks towards her during the first week of Celebrity Big Brother, including using a homophobic slur and saying he would "tie her up." Rourke received a formal warning from producers and apologized on-camera, but Siwa said his later admission that he intentionally tried to offend her was 'hard to take'. Rourke was later removed from the show for "further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour" following disagreements with other contestants. Siwa initially wanted to give Rourke a chance and appreciated the subsequent conversations about inclusion, which gave her closure, stating, "he doesn't hate me; he's a very hurt man." Siwa finished third in the Celebrity Big Brother final and has since confirmed a romantic relationship with fellow contestant Chris Hughes.

Why is Tennent's Super lager so popular in Italy?

Alongside the comment, he has shared a photo of a familiar, long-necked bottle with a deep blue, yellow and red label, its bold T standing out proudly amongst a lineup of other brands on what appears to be a restaurant shelf. 'I've just been to Naples,' one follower has chimed in. 'A sophisticated couple ordered one each, it's bonkers that it's everywhere in Italy.' Another has shared his testimony, writing: 'It really is the most bizarre thing to see. 'Yesterday, I saw a glammed-up lady drinking a bottle of Super T in the mountains. Contrast that with my memories of Scotland and a guy lapping up a spilt bottle from a table.' Anyone lucky enough to have journeyed to Italy themselves will know that these guys aren't exaggerating. From Milan to Florence, Naples or Rome, no matter where you end up, you're likely to come across fridges filled with Tennent's Super or even clock it for sale on draught at high-end bars and restaurants. And a quick scroll through the @ tennentsuper_ita official Instagram page reveals highly stylised photoshoots of young adults behind DJ decks, hanging around skate parks, and shooting pool at trendy bars, all with bottles of the beer in hand. So, what is behind Italy's fascination with a drink that was for years brewed in Scotland, and widely dismissed as the lager of choice for only loutish characters like Rab C Nesbitt? Originally from Northern Italy, author Luca Serra has been living in Scotland for eleven years and is a previous winner of the Scottish New Writers Award for Fiction. Weighing in on the strange phenomenon of Tennent's Super in Italy, he said: 'The drinking culture over there is very different to the UK. 'In Italy, you go out at maybe nine or 10 pm and then want to get a bit tipsy before going to a club. 'That's why most people drink a couple of pints of a strong beer like Tennent's Super. Belgian beers are also popular because of their high alcohol content. 'In Scotland, you leave the office at 5pm then stay out for the whole evening, meaning you drink maybe five, six or seven pints. 'We also like to eat in Italy, which means you're too full to do anything other than sip at a strong drink.' Going solely by the difference in alcohol percentage between Tennent's Super and a regular lager, this theory could well check out. Coming in at a whopping 9% ABV, Super T packs quite the punch with a strong, complex flavour that's closer to an Italian 'Doppio Malto' than the lighter beers that we're used to in Scotland. Sara Capaldi, co-owner of Partenope café in Glasgow's Southside, vividly remembers finding this out for herself while on holiday in Italy. (Image: newsquest) 'The barman came running up to us very excited to tell me that they had beer from Scotland, and when he said it was Tennent's, we expected the regular lager. I just thought 'oh cool, we're drinking Scottish beer!' 'But Tennent's Super is way stronger, which we discovered after having a few pints of it. 'It has an extra kick which is more suited to Italian drinking culture. They don't drink to get drunk and will happily have a few pints and then go home.' Although other holidaymakers might have experienced the same excitement when spotting a reminder of home in Italy, it is worth noting that Tennent's Super is no longer brewed in Scotland. The rights to Tennent's Lager and Tennent's Authentic Export brands are owned by the C&C Group. These beers are brewed by the C&C Group at Wellpark Brewery in Glasgow, where they have been made with the same Scottish Barley, water from Loch Katrine and hops since 1885. However, as of 2009, the rights to the Tennent's Super brand have been held by AB Inbev, with the beer brewed in Luton. Still, the brand's Scottish roots seem to be enough for this beer to be viewed as a premium, imported product overseas. 'I just think that beer from another country will sell better no matter where you are,' Capaldi continued. 'It's seen as fashionable to drink imported lagers. 'In Italy, you'll rarely see people drinking Peroni or Moretti, even though they are popular over here. 'On the other hand, I've never actually seen Tennent's Super sold in Scotland but it's everywhere in Italy.' So, there you have it. A beer which seems run of the mill to us Scots is in fact considered a delicacy elsewhere, perhaps due to novelty factor or simply because of a preference for a stronger brew. The next time you find yourself in Italy, why not take a leaf from the locals' book and order a bottle to sip during aperitivo hour. With just a little extra sunshine and a slower pace of evening, you might just see Super T in a whole new light.

Inside JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes' romance after dating rumours confirmed

After weeks of speculation, JoJo Siwa has finally confirmed she is dating Chris Hughes. It was in April that the 21-year-old American social media star entered the Celebrity Big Brother House and met Love Island's Chris, 32. The pair quickly became close and raised eyebrows with their actions, with many speculating from the start they might be more than friends. Soon after the show ended JoJo dumped her partner Kath Ebbs at the ITV reality show's wrap party, with the rumour mill then going into overdrive questioning if Chris was part of the reason. Although they dodged questions about their relationship status for weeks – with Chris also calling JoJo a 'soulmate friendship' – they then started sharing intimate photos online that all but confirmed they were together. At the weekend Chris shared a photo of them in bed together, with an interview then released in which JoJo said they were 'not platonic'. Here's everything we know about how the pair, who are now 'head over heels'. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. On Monday April 7, Celebrity Big Brother hit screens again, with a string of stars signing up to cut themselves off from the world for a few weeks. They included Hollywood star Mickey Rourke, talk show host Trisha Goddard, drag queen Danny Beard and EastEnders' Patsy Palmer, as well as JoJo and Chris. Two of the youngest in the house, they quickly hit it off. However, it was after Chris told off Mickey for directing a homophobic comment towards JoJo that they appeared to become close. On their first day in the house Mickey told JoJo: 'If I stay longer than four days, you won't be gay anymore.' He then threatened to tie her up and 'vote the lesbian out real quick' before making the offensive homophobic comment. Calling Mickey out, Chris told the actor he 'can't say that', before comforting JoJo, who told him after: 'What I felt just then was you had my back when I've known you for 24 hours and you have no reason to have my back.' After becoming inseparable, JoJo and Chris were seen sharing many cuddly moments and late-night whisper sessions. However, during their first week in the house they were reprimanded by Big Brother for 'breaking the rules' after she wrote a message on his hand one night. They were then made to speak to each other through megaphones. While it was initially believed they might have been discussing nominations, JoJo later revealed the message had been in reference to 'her sexuality' and she'd been discussing her gender identity with Chris. 'It's something that I'm not ready necessarily to be open about or upfront about but it has to do with gender and how do I feel,' she told Big Brother before explained that she suspected she might identify as non-binary. Chris and JoJo's friendship came under the microscope in the house, with some of their fellow housemates claiming it was all for show. Before he was sent packing Olympic decathlete Daley Thompson accused them of 'playing a game'. The next day Ella declared: 'I just feel, and this is my personal opinion, that there are social climbers in this industry, and I think he would benefit a hell of a lot.' Chris later went on to take aim at Ella, accusing her of being 'jealous' of his and JoJo's 'matching energies'. 'She isn't sweet on JoJo so there might be a jealously thing there I don't know, she likes to have her two pence worth and if she's out of a conversation she wants to be in it,' he said in the diary room. However, he went on to break down while speaking to Big Brother in the diary room, sharing: 'I'm literally just in here being me, living. I hate toxic stuff in life like I hate environments. It just brings you down. 'You can feel when energy shifts and it's not nice. I don't want to be emotional and sad, but you can't help it sometimes. People have made me feel like I can't have a friendship with JoJo. Or feel like I have to justify a friendship with JoJo – because we get on and we have fun. I'm actually really sad.' During one episode Chris confessed that he would kiss JoJo if he had the chance, to which she joked 'sucks to be you!' Many viewers struggled to believe their relationship was solely platonic, with some accusing JoJo of cheating on her partner Kath Ebbs. Chris and JoJo did however spark strong backlash from viewers during one episode. In a task given by Big Brother, the celebrity housemates had to pretend to be cats for the day, providing litter trays in the bathroom. However, the pair did actually use them and urinated in the trays, covering up the mess with their hands in actions viewers labelled 'disgusting'. Chris rose to fame on the 2017, where he met and started dating Olivia Attwood, but they split up about a year later. However ahead of him entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, Olivia apparently warned Ella that he 'comes into things with a game plan'. 'There are two sides to every story, but I guess my side, I told Ella when I was on 'TOWIE', just to give some context of the situation of what she knows,' she revealed. 'Some people, very few people, go on reality TV and they are 100 per cent themselves – the good, the bad, the ugly – they are the same on or off camera. 'Other people, they go on reality TV, they are one person and when you experience them off camera, you literally, it's like shapeshifters…' Ahead of entering the Celebrity Big Brother house JoJo was dating Australian actor, writer, presenter and content creator Kath, 27. The couple went public in January this year, with JoJo saying she was 'so happy' and in a 'very mature relationship'. 'It's taught me so much about life. It's taught me so much about love and respect, and it's a beautiful thing,' she told People. 'It's different in more ways than I can count. I wouldn't even know what to say the biggest is 'cause just everything is so different and special.' JoJo came out as pansexual in 2021 but has described herself as gay in recent interviews. However, during her time in the house, she revealed she was no longer sure that she identified as a lesbian. Speaking to Danny, she said: 'I feel so queer. I've never – I think I've always told myself, I'm a lesbian. I think you – I think being here – I've realised I am not a lesbian, I'm queer.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The morning after Kath was spotted fleeing the show's afterparty over the weekend, they shared a video on social media revealing JoJo had dumped them. 'I don't even know where to begin. I'm filming this in a complete state of shock, which I know is probably distressing and giving, 'Go have a sleep',' they began. Kath went on to say they'd 'experienced a version of love bombing' and revealed they'd discussed marriage with JoJo before she went into the house. 'In the last eight hours, I flew here and went to the live show to show up for my partner and support them in their experience and later on, address my feelings of hurt and work through them. Like all relationships do. But before I could even get back to the hotel I… it's actually crazy… I went to the afterparty with my now ex and was dumped in the party. I was told there were confused feelings there and they had realised in the house I wasn't the person they wanted to spend the foreseeable with,' they added. Appearing on This Morning alongside on Chris on Monday, JoJo confirmed details of the break-up. 'I'll be honest, that was not a plan, that was not an intention, that was not supposed to happen like that,' she said. She explained that originally, Kath had said that they didn't want to attend the afterparty but then did at the last minute. At the party Kath asked her if she was happy, to which she replied 'no', before they ended their relationship. Host Ben Shephard then asked whether her friendship was a 'catalyst' for the former's break-up. 'I think our friendship, it's hard to explain. It's just a strong bond between two people, just a strong friendship. I think you can have a soulmate friendship,' Chris answered. Cat Deeley then asked JoJo whether she would love her connection with Chris to become more than platonic. Dodging the question, she called him a 'great guy' before adding: 'Whatever life does, life will do.' Last month Chris flew to the US to spend time with JoJo, later sharing photos showing them hugging and lying on each other. Many were convinced this was a 'hard-launch', with Kath seemingly responding when posting online: 'The only thing I have to say is LOL'. Further photos and videos shared in following weeks included an image of their knees with Chris' hand cupping JoJo's thigh, while they were also snapped kissing while on holiday in Mexico. At the weekend Chris uploaded a Snapchat showing JoJo sleeping on his bare chest. Planting a kiss on her head, he also captioned the post: 'Sleepinnn beauty.' Today an interview was published in which JoJo finally confirmed they were an item. 'People can see our chemistry, and they got to see it develop. I think everyone's just curious, and I can't blame them,' she told The Guardian. More Trending After being asked if her relationship with Chris was 'platonic or romantic', JoJo was 'silent for a long time staring down at the floor but was smiling ear to ear'. 'It's not platonic anymore, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way,' she shared.
