Ex Lazio Flop Signs Off Inter Milan Career With A 'Jewel' Of A Goal Vs Como
Joaquin Correa signed off for his time at Inter Milan with a 'jewel' of a goal in yesterday's Serie A clash with Como.
This is the view in today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Joaquin Correa played what was surely his final match for Inter Milan in Serie A yesterday.
The Argentine is not in Inter's squad list for the Champions League. Therefore, there is certainly no chance that he'll feature in the final against Paris Saint-Germain.
However, that fact has meant that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has frequently called upon Correa in Serie A this season.

Correa has been playing as an attacking midfielder in a couple recent matches for Inter.
And playing in a 3-4-2-1 shape, partnering Nicola Zalewski behind Mehdi Taremi has really suited the former Lazio and Sevilla forward's game.

Correa put in about as sharp a display as he's ever done for Inter against Como yesterday.
The 30-year-old got on the ball in pockets of space frequently, and kept Inter's play ticking over. He had less of a responsibility in the physical duels with the opposition defense.
Then, Correa scored Inter's final goal of the Serie A season. It was a mazy run and then a tidy finish from a tight angle.
It would be fair to say that Correa's time at Inter as a whole has been nowhere near expectations. But he did leave a parting gift that showed the quality he possesses.

Inter Milan ready to make OFFER for Liverpool forward
The writing is on the wall for Chiesa Also tipped for a summer exit is Federico Chiesa. It's been a season to forget for the 27-year-old Italian, who joined from Juventus for £12.5m back in September. The Italy international only managed SIX Premier League appearances - for a total of around 104 minutes - and failed to win over Arne Slot on the rare occasions that he started in other competitions. Advertisement The writing was on the wall as early as January for the homesick winger - with several clubs in Italy queuing up for his signature. Transfer talk is again materialising for Chiesa this summer with Calcioblog now describing his return to Serie A as a 'necessity' for his career. 'The English experience has not borne the hoped-for results and now the 1997-born player is reflecting on the future, with an increasingly clear desire: to return to Italy,' a report reads. 'A return to Serie A that would not only be a transfer operation, but a real necessity to relaunch.' © IMAGO - Arne Slot Federico Chiesa Liverpool 2024-25 Inter want to strike deal for Chiesa The report then links Serie A runners-up Inter Milan as the prime candidates to land Chiesa. Moreover, a price is given for the wideman with Inter prepared to pay €18m to €20m in order to land him. Advertisement That represents a MASSIVE discount on Chiesa from his Juventus days when he was one of the hottest prospects in Italian football. 'If two years ago Chiesa's price tag exceeded €70 million, today - thanks to the contract expiring in 2026, the inconsistent performances and the few minutes accumulated - his value has drastically reduced, arriving at an estimate of around €18-20 million,' the report reads. 'A figure that is decidedly more accessible for Inter's coffers, who are carefully looking at the opportunity to bring to Milan a player eager for redemption and still in the prime of his footballing maturity. "Nothing has been decided yet, but the signals are clear: Federico Chiesa wants to return to Italy and Inter is among the most serious candidates to welcome him.' It looks like Chiesa's future is going to be resolved soon one way or another.

Inter Milan chiefs Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio held a meeting with the Parma hierarchy to discuss the future of Ange-Yoan Bonny. According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the parties met for other reasons, yet Bonny's transfer was among the topics. Advertisement Cristian Chivu completed his transfer from Stadio Ennio Tardini to Giuseppe Meazza on Monday. Indeed, the Nerazzurri officially unveiled the 44-year-old as the new manager earlier this week. However, Chivu may not be the only subject of discussion between Parma and Inter. On the other hand, the 20-time Italian champions are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements. Advertisement Therefore, the Frenchman is a viable target despite Parma's €25 million asking price. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri are reportedly on the verge of agreeing his switch to San Siro. This latest meeting could be decisive in finalizing the terms of the transfer and ironing out the final details.
