However, The Sun can reveal Wynne has secretly patented the name of his BBC Wales radio programme and is launching his own eponymous breakfast show next month in a move sure to infuriate Beeb execs.
In an Instagram statement the Welshman, 53, wrote: "My beloved Wynners, From the very depths of my heart — thank you.
"These past few months, your love has been the light in my darkest days. Every message, every word of encouragement, every moment you stood by me has carried me through more than you could ever know.
'It breaks my heart to say the BBC has decided not to renew my contract so I won't be returning to my radio show. I'm gutted.
"That show wasn't just work — it was home. It was us. We laughed, we cried, we sang like nobody was listening. And somehow, through the airwaves, we became a family.
"But here's what I believe with everything I've got: what we built cannot end here. So — deep breath — here goes... We're getting the band back together.
"The Wynne Evans Show is coming back, live every day from 9am–12pm on a new app, on Alexa and Google (we don't have to say 'smart speaker' anymore!) and at www.wynneevansshow.co.uk.
'This is our next adventure. And I need you more than ever. We will have great music, my question of the day, the mystery voice, your soundtrack stories and so much more, because we have each other again."
News of Wynne's axing comes four months after he was dropped from the Strictly tour for using the word 'spitroast' at the official media photocall.
Fresh twist in Strictly row as furious Wynne Evans sues producers after he broke foot & was told to keeping dancing
Whilst the star insisted he used it in reference to fellow contestant Jamie Borthwick - in reference to his ability to contort his legs over his head like a chicken - the BBC insist he brought the organisation into disrepute.
It is understood Wynne, who has fronted the Go Compare ads since 2009, was informed of the corporation's decision by email on Thursday.
It comes just days after he gave an emotional interview to the Sun on Sunday detailing the extent of his mental health battles following the scandal.
Asked if he had been made a scapegoat following previous BBC controversies, he said: 'I wouldn't use that word and it's very difficult for the BBC because, historically, and by their own admission they've got it very, very wrong.
"So now they have to investigate everything, and they have to be seen to investigate everything. Personally I don't think I was due an investigation but I understand why they've had to go through this process.
'I loved the dancing part, and I did do really well but the rest of it wasn't right for me with my personality and with depression. It wasn't the right thing.
'But I can see other people who have thrived on it, but for me it's not something I would do again. I wish I hadn't done it.'
Last night a source close to Wynne said: "He is obviously gutted but deep down, he knew this verdict was probably coming.
'Wynne has been overwhelmed with support from friends, family and celebrities and has already had a couple of exciting TV objects mooted.
'He is now super-excited to get going on his radio show - he has an exciting couple of big name guests already lined up, and cannot wait to see what lies ahead."

Celebrity Race Across the World 'signs up' beloved Strictly duo
Former Strictly Come Dancing contestants Molly Rainford and Tyler West have reportedly 'signed up' for Celebrity Race Across the World. Singer and actress Molly, 24, and radio presenter Tyler, 29, both appeared on the BBC dance competition in 2022 – and announced news of their relationship a year later. Following her stint on the show, Britain's Got Talent finalist and famous footballer's daughter Molly went on to secure the role of Anna Knight in EastEnders. Former CBBC presenter Tyler, meanwhile, currently presents a slot on weekday afternoons for Kiss FM. The couple confirmed their relationship in March 2023, and moved in together a year later. They have been inseparable ever since, using social media to keep fans updated on their relationship. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. According to sources, Molly and Tyler are about to return to reality TV -racing against five other celebrity duos in an upcoming series of the hit BBC travel competition. The Sun reported news of Molly and Tyler's casting this weekend, with a source saying: 'Molly and Tyler are a huge coup for the show.' 'They're popular with millions of viewers from their stints on Strictly, and Molly will bring in loads of EastEnders fans too. 'They are a very adventurous pair and have brilliant chemistry, so bosses are confident they will become huge fan favourites.' The tabloid also reports that the series has already finished filming, meaning that we shouldn't have to wait too long for the next celebrity edition of the show. As per the regular version of the competition – still airing now on BBC One and iPlayer – Celebrity Race Across the World sees five duos travel across a series of pre-determined checkpoints with limited funds and a ban on airline travel. Previous celebrity contestants have included Jeff Brazier and son Freddy, Harry Judd and mum Emma, and Kelly Brook and husband Jeremy Parisi. The most recent celebrity series aired last August, sending its famous racers on a long and often exhausting journey across South Africa. Former child star Molly is no stranger to the world of reality TV, having first auditioned for Britain's Got Talent in 2012. Aged only 11, she made it through to the semi-finals, where she finished in sixth place – losing out to winner Ashleigh Butler and her performing dog. After attending theatre school, she became a presenter on the CBBC entertainment series Friday Download from 2014 to 2016. She then starred as Nova Jones in the comedy-drama series of the same name, before appearing as a contestant on the 20th series of Strictly Come Dancing. She was partnered with professional dancer Carlos Gu, while DJ Tyler danced with Dianne Buswell. While Tyler was 7th to leave the competition, Molly once again made it all the way through to the finals, only to lose out to CBeebies presenter and cameraman Hamza Yassin. They may have missed out on the Glitterball trophy, but Molly and Tyler walked away with a new relationship – despite reports she'd been 'banned' from dating while on the show. Last year, the couple celebrated their first anniversary with some loved-up posts on Instagram, each sharing a series of pictures from their relationship. 'Happy anniversary baby, 1 year, but it feels like forever! I love you,' Molly wrote, with a white love heart emoji, adding: 'you know that'. 'Everything I could ever wish for. Happy 1 year anniversary mols,' said Tyler. In the comments below their posts, Molly's EastEnders colleagues were quick to congratulate the pair on their anniversary. More Trending 'Ah! You two!' wrote her on-screen mum, Michelle Collins. Sonia Fowler actress Natalie Cassidy described the couple as 'so gorgeous', while Elaine Peacock actress Harriet Thorpe left a series of emojis. ‘Who raised you?!' Home cook slammed after sharing attempt at Italian dish – but can you tell what it's meant to be?
GRUB'S UP 'Who raised you?!' Home cook slammed after sharing attempt at Italian dish – but can you tell what it's meant to be? Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THERE'S nothing better than tucking into a tasty homecooked meal, and it's even better if it's a traditional recipe. But one home cook left people scratching their heads after they revealed their attempt at a particular classic dish. 4 home-cook-slammed-sharing-attempt-999490755 Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk 4 home-cook-slammed-sharing-attempt-999490671 Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk 4 The foodie showed off their attempt at making lasagne on Facebook Credit: Getty Despite their best efforts, the food turned out nothing like you would expect, and some people even questioned what they meal was supposed to be in the first place. This came after the wannabe chef took to Facebook to show off their concoction with a picture from before it went into the over and after. "How do you make lasagne, mine came out crispy as hell and I want it soft, please help," the Facebook user wrote alongside the pictures. The first snap shows a dish layered with dry spaghetti, strips of uncooked bacon and slices of American cheese. Unsurprisingly, the meal only looked worse after some time in the oven. Instead of melting, the cheese shrivelled up and burned, and the dry spaghetti didn't look any more enticing either. After sharing the snaps in the popular Facebook group people were so shocked by the food creation they thought the foodie must've been joking. "This has got to be satire," one person commented on the viral post. But others weren't so sure, as a second said: "What in the name of god did you think you were making!?!" And a third chimed in: "I have never seen anything like this, where is the sauce?" The Sun tries Wetherspoons' new menu "I want to laugh but I genuinely don't even know what to think here," another wrote. Meanwhile, others offered some cooking suggestions for their next attempt. "You should start by reading an actual recipe, this is a crime," one said. And another commented: "I dread to think how many Italians you killed making this. Even if it is a joke this post should come with a trigger warning." And someone else quipped: "Who raised you?!" This isn't the first time food fans have been left stunned by a meal. Mum and TikToker Michelle previously caused viewers to lose their appetites as she proudly showed the breakfast she fed her family. The now-viral video, which has racked up a staggering 2.2million views in just two days, sees the parent make scrambled eggs - but with a twist. The nation's most peculiar food combinations revealed Brits reveal unusual food combinations that are so wrong, they feel right Research by LNER claims that a whopping four in five Brits experiment with unusual flavours, and almost a quarter have a 'guilty pleasure' when it comes to unconventional food combinations, Crisps and chocolate Cheese and chocolate Crisps in jam sandwich Chips and milkshake Cheese and bananas Apples with salt and pepper Avocado and chocolate Popcorn and hot sauce Tuna and marmite Gherkins and peanut butter Rather than using actual eggs, the mum whipped up the first meal of the day with a ''scrambled egg mix'' - which was essentially just a powder. To add some extra boost of protein, Michelle also threw in a generous amount of bacon - that had been freeze dried. The gut-churning concoction called for half a cup of the scrambled egg mix which she dissolved with warm water, as well as the bacon bits - which needed to be re-hydrated with cold water. For extra flavour and texture the mum also chucked in some freeze fried cheddar cheese that had to go in the water before as well. Once the egg mixture was ready, Michelle cooked it on the pan, before squeezing the water out of the shredded cheese and throwing a spoonful of the watery bacon. Showing off the final result on her page, the mum tried to convince the viewers it was ''good'' - and the rest of the brood agreed, with the dad dubbing the dish ''yummy''.

Nicola Peltz's pals break silence for first time over Brooklyn Beckham claims
Nicola Peltz's pals address claims that she is "isolating" Brooklyn Beckham in new defence - as sources close to the Beckham family speak of their continued upset as the feud rumbles on Brooklyn Beckham's Instagram video last week in which he said he would 'always choose' his wife must have hurt his parents amid their well-publicised family feud. But other recent social media posts have allegedly proved just, if not more, painful to David and Victoria as the falling out shows no sign of abating. A picture uploaded to Instagram three days ago shows Brooklyn sipping a pint in a pub, with bottles of his own-brand hot sauce on the table in front of him. Innocuous enough to outsiders – but friends of the Beckhams recognised the distinctive light fittings and stark green walls in the background. One pal says: 'The picture was taken in London's Wigmore pub, which is part of the Langham Hotel where the Beckhams have sometimes stayed. 'The fact that Brooklyn appeared to be in the country and failed to see any of his family was heartbreaking. And not only that, but here he was posting about it.' Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, had flown to London for a joint photoshoot with Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler, which took place less than two miles from the Beckham family home in Holland Park. Dad David, 50, was not far away – he was pictured with the King at the Chelsea Flower show that day – just three miles from the Wigmore. A pal reveals: 'Brooklyn had kept the visit quiet from not only his mum and dad but his siblings and extended family. It was terribly sad that he had flown thousands of miles to London and hadn't engaged at all. It would have been very easy to meet up.' Another Instagram post, made on May 16, showed Brooklyn with Nicola's late grandmother to mark the anniversary of her death. He captioned it: 'I miss you and will love you forever.' A friend said: 'Brooklyn's heart is of course in the right place…but it hasn't gone unnoticed how all the while he is posting about Nicola's family he is silent about his own, including his own grandfather whose birthday it was last week.' To acquaintances of the family, the blame for what they believe are 'performative' social media posts lies with heiress Nicola. They list concerns that she is somehow orchestrating her husband's social media activity, which they claim is out of character, and that she is responsible for 'isolating' Brooklyn from his friends and family. A pal says: 'She is creating conflict where there is none and divides are springing up left, right and centre.' But a source close to the couple has hit back at suggestions Nicola is 'controlling' her husband – and insists Brooklyn is very much his own man. They reveal: 'She is not isolating him at all. He is free to do what he wants and he loves his wife and they are happy together. They are each other's family.' Brooklyn captioned last weekend's motorbike video, shot in Beverly Hills: 'My whole world. I will love you forever. I always choose you baby.' The source insists this was 'completely misinterpreted' as being a dig at his own family. The source adds: 'It's a real shame that what Brooklyn did – which was a statement of love for his wife – is being portrayed as something that it's not. 'He loves his wife and everyone should be proud: his parents, his family friends. He stands by his wife and that's a normal thing to be a loving and supportive husband.' Asked if there was any desire for reconciliation on Brooklyn's side, the source said it was impossible given the highly charged atmosphere. Sources close to Nicola have previously insisted that as 'an outsider coming into the Beckham family, she has helped Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within'. The claims – described as 'patently untrue and ludicrous' by friends of David and Victoria – were the 'nail in the coffin' of any future relationship, according to insiders. Despite this, sources close to Nicola claim she doesn't want any fighting and is upset by the feud being played out publicly. Her friends say she tried to integrate. 'Nicola was working hard to have a healthy relationship,' says one. Pals of the Beckhams dispute this, with one saying: 'It's hard to find a way back after absurd allegations of emotional abuse.' Despite Nicola's pals claiming she doesn't want a battle, in other facets of her life she is known to fight. Last week it emerged she had hired high-powered celebrity attorney 'Mad Dog' Marty Singer, who has represented stars such as Michael Jackson and Kim Kardashian. Nicola is suing a dog groomer she alleges is responsible for the death of her chihuahua Nala and French bulldog Frankie. It comes after previous legal battles with her wedding planners. A source said: 'Nicola's family haven't become billionaires by being shy and retiring... it's in their nature to fight for what they believe is right.' As for the feud with her in-laws, many wonder how it will ever resolve. Some say a big sign will be if Brooklyn acknowledges his sister Harper's 14th birthday next month – he did not publicly mark Victoria's 51st nor David's 50th this year. Brooklyn and Nicola have posted pictures of themselves with Harper, and he is thought to be very fond of his youngest sibling. A pal says: 'Brooklyn isn't talking to his mum and dad, as well as Romeo, because he disapproves of his girlfriend. 'But in that case this 'feud' should start and end with them… 'The fact he has distanced himself from the whole, extended family is what makes this so sad. Perhaps Harper's birthday – and an acknowledgement of it – will be the first steps towards a peace deal.' Watch this space next month – but at this rate peace looks a long way off.
