While walking on her terrace, the woman noticed a man from a neighbouring building staring at her.
A disturbing incident has surfaced online in which a woman accused her neighbour of masturbating while staring at her. She shared a detailed account of the traumatic experience on Reddit, along with photos of the man in question.
In her post, the woman recounted how she had stepped onto her terrace one evening for some fresh air while on a phone call. She noticed a man in a neighbouring building fixating on her without blinking, which immediately made her feel uneasy.
'So this evening, I went up to my terrace for some fresh air while I was on a phone call. I noticed a guy from the neighbouring building—someone I don't know—just staring at me. At first, I brushed it off, thinking maybe it was random. But he kept staring without even blinking, and I started to feel uncomfortable," she wrote.
She tried moving to another spot to avoid his gaze, but the man's behaviour worsened.
'I noticed he had gotten down on his knees and started masturbating while still looking directly at me," she added.
Although shocked and in disbelief, she managed to capture videos and pictures as evidence.
'At first, I was in disbelief—I couldn't fully process what was happening. But then I realised exactly what he was doing, and I managed to take a video and click some pictures as evidence. The entire time, he didn't stop staring at me," she said.
The woman stressed that she was fully clothed and simply seeking a moment of peace on her terrace. The man's actions left her feeling 'disgusted, violated, and scared."
She also expressed hesitation about informing her family, fearing they might respond with overprotectiveness and restrict her freedom rather than addressing the real issue.
She also fears the man now knows where she lives and doesn't want police involved right now. But she also wants to make sure the situation doesn't go ignored. She mentioned having the man's house address and video evidence, but does not know his name.
'What action can I take that's safe, discreet, and effective? Has anyone faced something like this? Any advice would really help," the woman concluded.
The Reddit community strongly urged her to report the incident. They warned that staying silent might only encourage the man to repeat such behaviour.
One user commented, 'Definitely not his first time. If you don't report now, he's gonna do worse to other women because he has not faced any consequences for his acts."
Another said, 'Report to the police asap, that's a potential rap*st right there."
Someone advised, 'First, tell your family and then that creep's family. If you ignore this, you are indirectly encouraging him. lease report."
'The saddest part is people being more afraid of their families finding out about the issue than the issue itself," an individual said.
A Redditor claiming to be a lawyer explained that since the man was on his own property, pressing charges like 'outraging modesty" or 'obscenity" could be difficult legally. 'If he is within the confines of his home, he can argue that he was doing an act in his home where there is a 'reasonable expectation of privacy,' it is a highly technical argument, but ultimately he will be let go," the user continued.
But they still encouraged her to go to the police. Even if the punishment is minimal, the legal process itself can serve as a strong warning. 'The process is the punishment," the user noted.

Homebound cinematographer Pratik Shah deletes Insta after accused of abuse by Abhinav Singh; multiple women speak out

Cinematographer Pratik Shah has been accused of abuse and misconduct by multiple people. Recently, independent filmmaker Abhinav Singh took to Instagram and accused Pratik. He also indirectly called him 'highly manipulative' and "emotionally abusive". Pratik Shah is best known for his work in films Jubilee, CTRL and Homebound. Abhinav initially shared a warning message on his Instagram, urging his female followers to be careful around a cinematographer, without mentioning any name. He shared, 'To my female friends: Please be cautious around a certain cinematographer I've encountered-he's highly manipulative and emotionally abusive based on my personal experience. If you want details, feel free to DM me.' After some time, he added, 'The number of women who've reached out to me is honestly frightening. I feel like I'm having a Margot Robbie moment from Bombshell. I will not be silenced. And to those who are still employing him – f**k you. His name is Pratik Shah. He's a cinematographer.' Abhinav Singh posts against Pratik Shah. Abhinav claimed that several women reached out to him about the cinematographer after sharing the post. 'I've spoken out, and now I'm hearing from others — people who've felt silenced or sidelined. It's heartbreaking. The patterns are undeniable. Many have called him a predator.' Filmmaker-writer Srishti Riya Jain posted a series of screenshots on her Instagram stories to amplify several accusations against Pratik on Reddit. She said that Pratik has 'been on the prowl since 4 years'. She also accused the film industry has 'selective attention span and gaze' when it comes to acclaimed people. 'To everyone pretending to act shocked, scandalised, and suddenly awoken from their slumber… THIS man worked on one of the 'most empathetic' films of the year — or so the interviews at Cannes claimed,' she shared. In a screenshot of the alleged Reddit post, someone called Pratik 'a total sleazeball.' 'He slides into every girl's DMs and talks crap,' the user added. Another claimed, 'He sent me a follow request last year while I was liking a mutual friend's pictures. I accepted it, and he said it was a mistake. I unfollowed him immediately — it felt off." Reddit post against Pratik Shah resurfaces. Amid this, Hindustan Times reported that Pratik has deactivated or deleted his Instagram account. He is yet to address the allegations against him. However, this is not the first time that Pratik has faced such bold allegations against himself. As per THR India, about four years ago, the cinematographer faced a similar situation. A young cinematographer filed a complaint against him with the Indian Women Cinematographers' Collective (IWCC), alleging that he had inappropriately solicited a nude photograph from her. Reportedly, he had apologised to the woman and was left with a warning. Pratik's latest film Homebound was recently screened at Cannes Film Festival 2025. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, it stars Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor.

Reddit User Stunned After Mumbai Recruiter Asks "Intrusive" Questions About Family Income, Marriage Plans

A job seeker recently shared a troubling experience where a recruiter asked a series of strange questions during an interview, which left them stunned. Taking to Reddit, the user claimed that they were asked many intrusive questions, including how many earning members were in their family and whether they were planning to get married. "In today's episode of Recruiters reaching a new low: Got asked about the 'earning members in the family'" the user titled the post shared on subreddit r/IndianWorkplace. "Got asked this question bang in the middle of interview by the DIRECTOR of a marketing/ad agency (amongst other personal/intrusive questions) Mumbai/Ghatkopar based agency," the Redditor shared. In today's episode of Recruiters reaching a new low : Got asked about the 'earning members in the family' by u/whimsicalfemme in IndianWorkplace In the comments section, when one user asked why the director of the company took the interview and not a recruiting HR, the job seeker said that the HR asked their age and immediately inquired if they were planning to get married. The post quickly sparked a conversation online, with many users sharing similar stories. "Agencies reach new lows every week, so this is honestly not a huge surprise," expressed one user. "I was asked my father's occupation, yearly income, number of siblings, mother's occupation, pin code of my address, and how I am going to travel to office once, by the HR before even scheduling an interview. She took all this information and didn't even schedule an interview," shared another. "I was asked the same question six months ago, and I said "excuse me?" Hoping he would refrain asking it for the second time but he did. I asked him how does that matter. He said he was just trying to understand how committed I am to my career. I got the offer but didnt join the organization. He later called me up and asked for the reason, I told I was not comfortable with the questions that were asked during the HR interview. He tried to cover it up with some bs nothing happened after that," commented a third user. "There should be a way to publicly call these people out by name and company. Or a way to warn people about these people but on the down-low," wrote one user. "Some directly ask what EMI's you have , they just want to know how desperate you are for the job and will you stick around for a while," said another.
