Liam Gallagher 'is being a total professional' on Oasis tour

Perth Now08-07-2025
Liam Gallagher is "laser-focused" on the Oasis comeback concerts.
The 52-year-old rock star has reunited with his brother Noel for the long-awaited Oasis reunion tour, and Liam has been a "total professional" in his approach to the shows.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Liam arrives 45 minutes before he goes on stage and leaves immediately afterwards.
"At Cardiff he had a car driven into the stadium to take him back to his hotel immediately. Liam is being a total professional and is laser-focused on giving Oasis fans the best show he can."
Liam is well-known for his outspoken personality, but the insider suggested he's matured since Oasis split back in 2009.
The source said: "It's incredible to see how well behaved he is being. It's like he's properly grown up now."
Noel and Liam's mother, Peggy, recently revealed that she was the "instigator" of their reconciliation.
Peggy urged her sons to put their differences aside - but she couldn't have made them do anything they didn't want to do.
Speaking to Ireland's Mail on Sunday newspaper, she explained: "I was the instigator, yes. But sure, wasn't it always going to happen at some time or other?
"It was their choice, of course.
"Look you can't force them to do things they don't want to do.
"You just have to say, 'Get on with it' and I said that."
Peggy is thrilled that her warring sons have finally made up.
She said: "It's great, because nobody wants their kids falling out, do they?"
Peggy also revealed that she was looking forward to watching her sons in action in Dublin.
Peggy actually intends to reunite with some other members of her family, including her sister, at the Dublin show.
She shared: "I'm hoping to get to the Oasis concert in Dublin in August if I can hobble around. That's my plan anyway ... it will be great.
"I know the Irish fans are thrilled about it. There's great excitement in Ireland about the reunion tour and it will be lovely to see family there, also my sister Kathleen. I am really looking forward to the Dublin one."

Rita Ora's plans face push-back from neighbours

Rita Ora is planning to build a futuristic gym in her garden. The 34-year-old pop star owns a Grade II-listed home in North London, but she's angered some locals residents with her plans to construct a gym in the sunken courtyard of the property. According to The Sun newspaper, an objection to Rita's plans reads: "Residents who chose this area for its tranquillity should not be forced to live with artificial lighting, amplified sound or loss of privacy." The residents fear that the plans could "generate conflict, complaints and even legal disputes". The objection continued: "Although acoustic insulation is mentioned, the inclusion of bifold doors suggests that music and voice projection could occur at any hour. "The neighbouring property has a strict rule prohibiting large gatherings or parties, adopted precisely to preserve peace and respect among neighbours. "This proposal undermines that shared understanding and carries the potential to generate conflict, complaints and even legal disputes." Meanwhile, Rita recently revealed that she wants to "celebrate [her] sexuality" through her new music. The pop star released her single Heat in June, and Rita suggested that it was a taste of things to come. The chart-topping singer told People: "The whole theme of this record is really about being instant [and] really direct with my messaging and stripping everything back behind me, production wise." Heat was co-written by Troye Sivan, and Rita admits that she has "a lot in common" with the music star. The singer - who is married to Hollywood film director Taika Waititi - shared: "I love his sexuality and the celebration he has with that. "I was really inspired for me and my womanhood to really kind of celebrate my sexuality, my sexiness and get back into my body, you know? And this really just embodied that." Rita hasn't released a new album since 2023, and she's now keen to reintroduce herself to the public. The pop star - who has been married to Taika since 2022 - said: "I just feel as if I have so many things to sort of remind the public with, especially my new fans. I kind of love the idea of explaining who I am again."

Chris Hughes was 'slightly confused' by feelings for JoJo Siwa

Chris Hughes was "slightly confused" about his feelings for JoJo Siwa when he left the Celebrity Big Brother house. The 32-year-old star grew close to the Karma singer when they took part in the reality show but they didn't get romantically involved until after the programme ended, and Chris has admitted he didn't realise he wanted a relationship with JoJo until he flew out to Mexico City and then onto Orlando, Florida, to surprise her for her birthday. He told The Sun: 'I went to Florida thinking 'I really like this person', but I was slightly confused about the feelings. I had already written her birthday card before I flew over. I took all these presents over for her. They were fun and sentimental gifts rather than anything of monetary value. 'But the night before her birthday, I realised my feelings had changed. I told her: 'I've got to go do something. I'll be back in half an hour.' 'I went to the hotel reception and borrowed a pen and came back up to the room. 'I took the card and opened it because I had to redo it. I sat in the toilet on my own and I rewrote the card. I knew my feelings had changed, and there was so much more that I needed to say than what I originally put in the birthday card. I wasn't confused anymore, and I knew what my heart was saying, and I wanted to tell her.' Chris was "so nervous" about flying out to see JoJo but knew he had made the right decision. He reflected: "We just wanted to be there for each other in the house. I adored the ground she walked on and the way she handled herself. How can you not love her? But it was as a friend. 'Then, towards the end of the show, I was confused about my feelings for her. And you don't know what it's going to be like on the outside. I was saying to myself, 'Come on, Chris, pull yourself together.' 'We were just friends at that stage, but we were talking all the time. I was missing her, and I felt like I needed to see her, so I flew to Mexico City to surprise her. "I was so nervous, even though I'd lived with her for three weeks. Then we ended up going to Orlando and I met her family – it was the best three days of my life. "From the minute I woke up until I went to bed, I was just so happy. It was at that moment something fully ignited inside me. "I went: 'God, I really like this person', and I knew she reciprocated it.' The former Love Island star is in constant contact with JoJo - who ended her relationship with Kath Ebbs after leaving the CBB house - but he loves nothing more than writing letters to her. He gushed: 'I like writing her letters. I don't do it every day. But when we are apart and I miss her, I write to her. I like writing, and I like to see my handwriting. I like sitting there. It gives me something to do. So when I'm at home alone, I'll get my little pad out.'

Tyla reduced to tears over pressure to conform to pop

Tyla was reduced to tears being told to conform to pop music. The Water hitmaker had viral success with 2023 hit, however, she admits that being pressured into making music that wasn't authentic to her left her "crying". The South African star told Variety: '[Those songs] didn't feel like me at all. I remember being in my hotel room and my managers were calling me: 'Come down, we need to cut the song.' I was crying and thinking, 'This is not what I want. I didn't get signed to do this'. 'They had to [coax] me out of that room. But through doing that, I realised how much more I love African music. It made me more persistent in keeping my ideas.' On recording her breakthrough track, she admitted: 'I think back to recording Water, and I couldn't have been more closed off to the outside world. 'It was just me, my engineer and his pregnant wife in the studio. I used to be so shy.' Tyla recently admitted she felt "trapped" following the success of Water. The 23-year-old singer's life changed overnight thanks to the success of Water. She recently told The Sun newspaper at an event in London: "For a while, especially last year, I felt so trapped. "Like, 'Oh my word, I blew up and I just have to have everything right and everything has to be perfect now because the world is looking.' "It was kind of stressful for me." Tyla recently released We Wanna Party, her debut mixtape, and she relished the experience of being able to "experiment" with new sounds and ideas. She explained: "I wasn't planning on doing this. I was just making music at the beginning of the year. It was mainly for an album. "But as I got closer to summer, I was like, 'Hey the songs I was making were too good ... where are the summer songs? "We need some summer songs right now' and I am just too excited to hold on to them. I really just want people to hear it and party to it, and see how I've grown through the years and just see who I am now." Tyla thinks having "a little bit of arrogance" has helped her navigate the stresses of the music industry. She said: "I just always knew I had something in me. "I just always had that kind of peace knowing that this is the life I'm gonna live. "I don't let anybody or anything limit me or put me in a box. I think I'm just confident. "A lot of people say arrogant, but I think everyone needs a little bit of arrogance, especially to make it in this industry and to make people believe in your music. "If you're not that proud and you don't believe in your stuff as strongly as you should, why would someone else?"
