found herself in a hilarious situation on August 14 when she arrived at Chennai's Vettri Theatres to watch the first show of her latest release, 'Coolie'. Accompanied by friends, Shruti's car was halted at the theatre gate by security staff — who apparently didn't recognize her.
In a video now going viral, the actor can be heard telling the guard with mock seriousness, 'I'm in the movie. Please allow me, anna. I'm the heroine, sir.' The moment sent her friends into fits of laughter and has since delighted fans online.

As reported by the Sacnilk website, the film opened to a thunderous response on August 14, raking in an estimated Rs 65 crore net on Day 1 across all languages. Tamil screenings dominated with Rs 45 crore, followed by Telugu at Rs 15 crore, Hindi at Rs 4.5 crore, and Kannada at Rs 50 lakh. On Day 2 (August 15), the film added another Rs 11.78 crore, taking its two-day total to nearly Rs 76.78 crore as per the early estimates.

While comparing it to his earlier success Ghajini, Murugadoss acknowledged that working outside his comfort zone affected the final product. AR Murugadoss Opens Up on the Challenges Behind Salman Khan's Sikandar Salman Khan's Sikandar, released during Eid 2025, was anticipated as a major comeback for the superstar. However, the film failed to resonate with audiences and critics alike, emerging as one of Khan's lowest-performing projects in recent years. I had already done it before, so I had complete command. With Sikandar, that wasn't the case."
