Legendary's ‘Street Fighter' Movie Casts Vidyut Jammwal As Dhalsim
Reps for Legendary declined to comment. The project marks the Hollywood debut of an actor who we're told has been deliberate about the project with which he wants to introduce himself in the U.S. market. First introduced in Street Fighter II in 1991, the character of Dalsim is a yogi with fire-spitting abilities — a fundamentally peaceful man who fights to support his family.

Taylor Swift Doc to Examine How She ‘Skillfully' Navigated ‘Controversy' Throughout Her Career
It's no secret that Taylor Swift has become one of the most successful musicians of all time, but how did she get there? That's exactly what a new documentary coming to the U.K.'s Channel 4 aims to find out. As announced exclusively by Deadline on Tuesday (July 22), an upcoming two-part series tentatively titled Taylor will trace the pop star's two-decade career from its early stages to becoming a billion-dollar, industry-dominating machine by way of insider interviews and fresh insights pulled from a 'rare archive.' Guy King will direct the project, which does not yet have an official release date. More from Billboard Billboard's Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century: No. 2 — Taylor Swift Stephen Colbert Cheered Himself Up After Cancellation News With 'Viva La Vida' Cover Feat. 'Weird Al' Yankovic and Lin-Manuel Miranda 48 Hours in Atlanta: Where to Stay, Eat & Explore the City's Rich Music Culture 'Taylor Swift is an unprecedentedly powerful 21st century voice for women and young people,' King told the publication. 'Under the microscope of social media since the earliest days of MySpace and Tumblr, she came of age during a new feminist wave.' 'With her fame came controversy, which she so skillfully wrestled to the floor,' the director added. 'We're excited to tell her story.' King and his team will have an abundance of material to draw from as they dive into Swift's historic rise. The Pennsylvania native has more Billboard Hot 100 entries than any other artist besides Drake, is the only musician to ever win album of the year at the Grammys four times, and has earned the title of first singer to ever become a billionaire based on songs and performances alone. As far as 'controversy' goes, Swift has plenty to analyze on that front as well. The musician has been scrutinized on everything from her love life to her feuds with fellow industry titans such as Kanye West and Scooter Braun, the latter of which culminated in Swift finally reclaiming ownership of her masters by purchasing them this past May. With that in mind, Taylor will be far from the first documentary-style project to explore her life and career. Swift personally participated in Netflix's Miss Americana, a Lana Wilson-directed doc about the musician's trajectory and political awakening, in 2019. ‘Happy Hour' Movie News: Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes Reunite
We are so back—back to the '90s, to be exact. Dawson's Creek fans, rise up because Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are reuniting in a new movie, Happy Hour. Katie is writing, directing, and starring in the film, and that's not even the best part. Happy Hour is the first in a planned trilogy of films, which means we're about to get a whole lot more nostalgia coming our way. Don't wanna wait for more news? Say less. Here's everything we know about Happy Hour. On the off chance you don't know, Katie and Joshua famously worked together on Dawson's Creek for five seasons—from 1998-2003. They dated IRL off-screen and on-screen as Joey (Katie) and Pacey (Joshua) and became one of the most iconic TV couples of the late '90s and early aughts. So, yeah, seeing them finally reunite on screen is a pretty big deal. Katie announced the news on Instagram, writing in part, 'Working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship.' Fellow Dawson's Creek alum Busy Philipps commented on the post, 'we are seated. 👏👏👏.' According to Deadline, Happy Hour is a romantic dramedy about a couple—played by Katie and Joshua—who are 'navigating their relationship within the challenges of careers and family responsibilities and the pursuit of love, despite life's inevitable obstacles.' No, it's not an official Dawson's Creek sequel. But, the outlet did specify that the couple are 'young loves who reconnect as adults.' Sounds pretty Joey and Pacey coded to me! Katie and Joshua will be joined by Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson, and Jack Martin. There's no word yet on when Happy Hour will hit theaters, but filming has officially begun, giving fans plenty of first look pics at Katie and Joshua walking through the streets of New York City, looking like Joey and Pacey together again. We'll be sure to update you when we have more news!

James Gunn Thinks Adria Arjona Would Be 'a Great Wonder Woman'
If Superman and the forthcoming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow weren't enough, a new Wonder Woman movie is officially in the works, too. In June, James Gunn confirmed that a new iteration of Wonder Woman is 'being written right now.' Ana Nogueira, who will also write Supergirl, is in talks to write the script. Here's everything we know about the new DC movie. Gal Gadot will not be reprising her role in the new Wonder Woman film. A new actress has not been cast as the titular hero yet, but Adria Arjona is rumored to be in consideration after people noticed that Gunn followed her on Instagram. 'I follow Adria on Instagram, but everybody came out [and thought], 'He just followed her, that means she's Wonder Woman,'' Gunn shared in an interview with Extra, per Deadline. 'She'd be a great Wonder Woman, by the way.' He also clarified that the follow wasn't recent. They had previously worked together on his 2017 film The Belko Experiment. 'She was in a movie that I made seven years ago,' he said. 'We've been friends and have known each other since that time. I followed her then, I didn't just follow her.' In a previous interview with ELLE, Adria Arjona spoke about the types of projects she hopes to make. 'I'm really intentional and I follow my intuition,' she said. 'When [the right project] comes in front of me, I know that's what I want to do next. When you're in the arts, you can't plan too far ahead. I could say right now, 'All I wanna do is comedy.' But [then I] would not be making good ones, you know? I like to stay as open as I can for the opportunities that are coming my way. I don't wanna get in my own way.' Not yet. On Threads, Gunn shared that though Wonder Woman is a 'priority,' it's not being 'fast-tracked.' He continued, 'Nothing is going to be shot unless we're as sure as we can be that the script is good.' No director is attached to the film yet, and screenwriter Ana Nogueira is only still in talks—not yet confirmed—to write the script. It's unclear whether Patty Jenkins will return after helming the two Gadot-starring Wonder Woman films. She was supposed to direct a third movie, but it did not move forward at Warner Bros. After the news broke in 2022, Jenkins said in part of a larger statement, 'I wish her [Wonder Woman] and her legacy an amazing future ahead, with or without me.' This story will be updated.
