Emmerdale's Beth Cordingly reveals ‘blunt' hair transformation
Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly has unveiled a new look as she prepares to hit the red carpet for this year's British Soap Awards… and it'll be very familiar to fans of the soap.
The actress, 48, plays Ruby Miligan on the ITV soap opera, and has been at the heart of some of this year's most explosive storylines.
This included the revelation that she'd been abused by her father, Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) as a teenager.
During the ensuing fallout, Ruby killed the old man – sparking an enormous cover-up between Ruby, husband Caleb Miligan (William Ash), Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) and more, as the guilty parties rushed to cover their tracks.
The soap will be hoping to score big at this year's British Soap Awards, which is set to air on 31 May – with Beth up for Best Leading Performer alongside Emmerdale co-star Eden Taylor-Draper and EastEnders actresses Lacey Turner and Kellie Bright.
And, as Beth prepares for her big night, she's paid her hairdresser a visit to bring back one of Ruby's most distinctive looks.
Sharing a video to her Instagram account, Beth revealed the process as her hair was trimmed down to the short bob Ruby has become known for.
'FIRST STEP TO GETTING A RED CARPET LOOK??…'GET BACK TO YOUR OG RUBY BOB,' she wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, Shebz Miah is up for Best Newcomer as Kammy Hadiq, and April Windsor star Amelia Flanagan has been nominated for Best Young Performer.

Snoop Dogg says emotional goodbye to beloved family member after tragedy
Snoop Dogg, who won an American Music Award for Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and a Primetime Emmy Award more recently, shared two videos on Instagram, writing he misses his French bulldog Juelz Snoop Dogg's beloved dog - given to him as a birthday gift from Wiz Khalifa - has died. The rapper expressed his sadness in two Instagram videos following the loss of French bulldog Juelz. Wiz Khalifa gave his friend the pooch in 2014 as a present for his 43rd birthday. But in a video yesterday, Snoop, now 53, told the fans the upsetting news. Sitting in the front seat of his car, soundtracked by Weldon Irvine's Morning Sunrise, the hip hop legend shared his grief. The father of four, from Long Beach, California, wrote: "Rip @juelzbroadus [crying emoji]Thank wiz for giving him to me.(sic)" The rapper then shared a second video, which featured a montage of Juelz with Snoop and his family and friends over the years, with Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's See You Again playing over the top. EastEnders exit story as Queen Vic fan-favourite packs his bags and leaves
George Knight (Colin Salmon) bids farewell to The Queen Vic in EastEnders next week, in the wake of wife Elaine's (Harriet Thorpe) affair. As we've seen this week, Elaine was left furious after discovering her husband spent Christmas evening in the company of his ex-wife Sabrina. While he remained insistent that he rejected her advances, he later went on to seek advice from his other ex-wife, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins). This only infuriated Elaine further, and she contacted old mate Drew Peacock (Paul Clayton) for a pep talk. Having taken his words to heart, she decided to hop into bed with a Prince Albert punter named Stephen. Riddled with guilt, she returned home and was shocked to see George make an impassioned plea to forgive him. At that moment she realised that he hadn't cheated – but she did. Still believing that she needed to be won over, and not picking up on her obvious torment, he pulled out all the stops by serenading her in The Vic bar. Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) urged her mum to come clean, and when she did, it had disastrous consequences. George couldn't see past her infidelity, even if she was pleading for forgiveness, and started to pack his bags. In upcoming scenes, Elaine puts on a brave face as George's best mate Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) tries to convince him that he should give her a second chance. After all, he did kiss Cindy last year! With Phil's words of wisdom ringing in his ears, George tells his wife that he's prepared to forgive her, but an enraged Elaine can't believe that he won't take responsibility for his part in the break-up and rejects him. It's the end of an era as George walks out of their home, but Linda tries to see the more positive side to things by arranging a divorce party to cheer her mum up.
