'I'm coming back 100 percent' Texas A&M senior RB is healthy and confident
Texas A&M's 2025 offense will be defined by the running back, as starting quarterback Marcel Reed will need a balanced offense to reach his potential, and finally get the Aggies past the eight-win threshold. This starts and ends with senior running back Le'Veon Moss, who, after enduring a knee injury during the latter half of the 2024 season, has all but rehabbed his way back to the lineup this spring.
However, head coach Mike Elko and OC Collin Klein were overly cautious during the Maroon & White spring game, opting to keep Moss sidelined while sophomore Rueben Owens and both freshmen backs took a majority of the snaps, which seemed like the plan all along.
On Friday, I wrote about the possibility that Moss might not be 100% by the start of the season, as Pro Football Focus's Max Chadwick stated that if Moss gets back to his 2024, he will likely emerge as the top RB prospect in the 2026 NFL draft.
Moss was on his way to rushing for 1,000-plus yards on the season before sustaining already accumulating 759 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 6.3 yards per carry. On Saturday, Moss took to social media in response to Chadwick's comments, and for Aggie fans who were waiting for an official update, what's better than hearing from the man himself?
"I'm coming back a 100 percent I promise 🫶🏾💯"
While Moss is certainly confident, A&M's running back depth will be the reason Moss stays fresh and gets back to form, knowing that a healthy Rueben Owens, Amari Daniels, and, yes, even senior E.J Smith, who is back for a final season, will not only help the Aggies achieve their goals but help Moss accomplish his NFL dream.

Texas QB Manning says NFL plans not taking shape yet despite grandpa's prediction of 2026 in Austin
AUSTIN, Texas -- There's so much speculation about Texas quarterback Arch Manning's future, in the media and even within his own family, that it can be hard for him to keep up. On Tuesday, Manning insisted he's not plotting out how long he'll stay at Texas or when he'll enter the NFL draft, despite his grandfather's recent prediction to Texas Monthly magazine that he'll be with the Longhorns through the 2026 season. 'I don't know where he got that from,' Arch Manning said in his first meeting with reporters since SEC media days in mid-July. 'He texted me to apologize about that. I'm really just taking it day by day right now.' Arch Manning has been careful while talking about his future as he leads the No. 1 Longhorns as the full-time starter after playing behind Quinn Ewers the past two seasons. Manning enters this season as the early favorite for the Heisman Trophy, has endorsement deals worth millions and comes from the most famous quarterbacking family in football. Grandfather Archie played in the NFL and uncles Peyton and Eli combined for four Super Bowl victories. Add that together and Arch Manning is shouldering the biggest spotlight of any player in the country. Texas opens the season Aug. 30 at No. 3 Ohio State after losing to the Buckeyes in the national playoff semifinals last season. Manning is also very close to his grandfather, despite any confusion about whether he's destined for one or two seasons as the Texas starter before heading to the NFL. Manning noted Tuesday how Archie is always giving him advice on how to avoid taking big hits to prolong his career. 'Those hits add up,' Arch Manning said. 'My grandfather, he's hobbling around these days. He ends every call with 'get down or get out of bounds.''

Trio of Oklahoma Sooners named to Coaches Preseason All-SEC teams
The 2025 college football season is about to get underway and the Sooners enter the year with something to prove after being left outside the US LBM Coaches Poll a couple of weeks ago. The Sooners look like a legitimate bounce-back candidate after a big offseason. Oklahoma has talent in all three phases of the game, and it was recognized by the coaches in the SEC. Ahead of the start of the season, three Sooners were named to the Coaches' Preseason All-SEC teams. Transfer running back Jaydn Ott was named to the second team. He's expected to lead the Oklahoma Sooners running back room and is looking for a resurgent season after injuries limited him in 2024. He was electric at Cal, racking up 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns in three season. Texas A&M's Le'Veon Moss and Texas' Quintrevion Wisner were named to the first team. Also on the second team is Oklahoma's star pass rusher, R Mason Thomas. Thomas is coming off of a breakout season in 2024, where he had nine sacks, six of which came in SEC play. He was a problem for opposing offenses, often commanding double and triple teams. Going into his fourth season, Thomas is one of the best pass rushers in college football and will be a force for Brent Venables defense again. Also making the All-SEC teams was long snapper Ben Anderson. He's handled all of Oklahoma's long-snapping duties each of the last two seasons and has been fantastic. The red-shirt junior was named to the Patrick Mannely Award watch list earlier this month, which is given to the nation's best long snapper. Missing the cut was quarterback John Mateer. The quarterbacks selected to the Coaches All-SEC teams were LSU's Garrett Nussmeier, South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers, and Florida's D.J. Lagway.
