Tirupur cops who met Nainar Nagendran in hotel moved to control room
Tirupur: Two cops attached to the Tirupur city police seem to have landed in trouble for meeting state BJP president

at a city hotel on the night of May 16.
City police city police commissioner S Rajendran, who received the information about the meeting through an intelligence source, on Saturday posted them at the city police control room.
They would now continue to report at the control room until further orders.
According to an official source, Nainar was in the city on Friday to participate in the national unity public march that the BJP organized to pay tribute to the martyrs of Operation Sindoor. Other BJP leaders, including former TN party chief K Annamalai and party national secretary Arvind Menon, had also participated in the march, which saw the participants waving tricolour and chanting patriotic slogans.
"After the rally, Nainar stayed back in the city at a hotel at 15 Velampalayam. Two police constables - Manthiram, who is attached to the Anupparpalayam police station, and Chinnasamy who is attached to the Tirupur South police station - met the state BJP president in person at the hotel. Both of them are natives of Sankarankoil in Tenkasi district. They have been temporarily removed from their respective police stations and now posted at the city police control room," the source said.

In March, GE delivered the first of 99 F-404 engines, around two years behind schedule.'That is our intent and we've communicated that to everyone,' Culp said. 'We are working with the suppliers to ramp their capability. We're making good progress. I just look at April and May of this year compared to where we were in the first quarter—we've seen a double-digit increase in the number of receipts.'IAF chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh recently voiced concerns about delays in the procurement of critical military military programmes and commercial airline sales are increasingly being delayed due to the inability of manufacturers to ramp up production. Culp said that though multiple actions are being taken to lessen the impact, it will be a while before the problem is solved.'We are making a tremendous amount of progress not only in GE but across the industry,' he said. 'But when you look at the demand expectations that only increase every year, we're going to be talking about supply chain for a while. That's just the nature of the challenge where we are in a super cycle.'GE will also look to set up a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility for civilian aircraft engines in India once the volume increases. 'I think that's more a matter of when, as opposed to if,' he said. 'We want to make sure we have the underlying volume in the marketplace that would support those investments.'GE has more than 1,400 engines operating in India, powering both narrow and wide body aircraft and an order book for around 2,500 more. CM downplays Nitesh Rane's ‘BJP is superior' comment
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A day after BJP minister Nitesh Rane said that his party is the "baap" (father, implying superiority) of all others, which is why it is holding the post of chief minister in Maharashtra, CM Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday downplayed the controversy surrounding these comments. "I haven't heard what he (Rane) said. I am only a servant of Maharashtra," he told media persons. A short while earlier, Shiv Sena MLA Nilesh Rane had reprimanded Nitesh, his younger brother, for the same comments. In a post on X, Nilesh, who represents the Kudal assembly seat, had said Nitesh should be mindful of his words and ensure that his comments do not offer any gains to the opposition.
