Johnny inquires and Alex says the company is in terrible trouble after the issues between Xander and Philip. Further, Xander sold off a lot of the company's assets to buy University Hospital, which fell through. Just then, Xander arrives ready to draw DiMera blood.
Xander wants to petition the hospital board for a second vote about the ownership question as he was arrested right before the vote. Alex thinks they should cut their losses, but Xander is ready to move forward. Xander asks the newbie (Johnny) if he has any issues with undercutting his father. Johnny quickly says and Alex gives Xander an update on his training. Alex thinks Johnny belongs in marketing with Gabi Chic and in PR with the publishing division and Johnny is on board. Xander questions the reviving of the publishing division and Alex gives him a hint about a potentially profitable new venture.
University Hospital – Lobby: Stephanie runs into Sarah who wants to talk. She brings up Philip's forged letter and how Xander knows the truth. Stephanie wonders who squealed, but Sarah has no clue. She says she asked Philip, but he denied it. That being said, she thinks he is lying about both his denial and clearing Xander.
Stephanie thinks Xander could have used Philip's inheritance as leverage to keep him quiet. Sarah agrees but says there is no proof and asks if Stephanie would be willing to dig. She says she'll try but wonders if Sarah actually wants the information that could send Xander to prison. Sarah doubles down and says, if he is guilty, he deserves what he gets.
University Hospital – Philip's Room: Philip awakens and pulls grabs his iPad where he sees the article about Xander being exonerated for beating the fool out of him. Just then, Brady arrives, and they catch up about his injuries. Philip offers his condolences about John and mentions Bo's recovery. Brady says his recovery and Xander's exoneration are also things to celebrate. He says they are all family, and he can't deal with losing anyone else.
Philip and Brady agree to catch a baseball game when he gets out of the hospital. Just then, Stephanie arrives, and Brady exits. They get right down to business about who attacked him. Philip wonders why he would go back to work with Titan/DiMera if Xander assaulted him. Stephanie mentions his inheritance and Philip acts mortified by the implication. She asks if he told Xander about Sarah's involvement which he also denies. She notes, if he had done it, he would probably feel very guilty, which Philip confirms.
Brady Pub – Apartment: Marlena explains to Roman about Rachel's bad dream and subsequent confession about seeing Johnny with a gun pointed at EJ. Roman says he didn't know but isn't surprised. He explains about the gun behind the bar and how it was gone the night of the shooting. Roman says he went to the DiMera mansion and found his gun stuffed in a planter. He grabbed it and got out of there when he heard sirens around the bend. He says he confronted Johnny afterwards but doesn't believe him as there was one bullet missing from the gun.
Marlena thinks they need to do something as Johnny needs to unburden himself and Rachel is ill from the stress. They establish Kristen knows which means Brady probably does, too. Roman admits he told Kate and Marlena says word is out. She thinks they need to talk to Johnny and Roman grabs his phone.
Titan/DiMera: Johnny gets a text and takes off for an early lunch. Left alone, Xander thanks Alex for his loyalty. He says his cousin has fully regained his trust. Xander says Philip will be back as they have to play nice for the company's sake.
University Hospital – Lobby: Stephanie reports back to Sarah that Philip denied everything about Xander assaulting him or that he told the truth about her involvement in the fraud. Sarah thanks her and as Stephanie makes her leave, something shocking catches her eye.
The Bistro: Stephanie walks in to meet Alex. He quickly understands she is not happy and asks what's up. With that, she pulls her manuscript out and asks why she found it in the hospital lobby. Stephanie says the nurse she spoke with said it had been making the rounds with the staff who all think it is amazing. Alex agrees which further infuriates her.
Horton Square: Melinda and Sophia get started with paperwork when Sophia needs a bathroom break. Just then, Brady arrives on the scene. He tells Melinda his family doesn't trust her and references her involvement with Sloan Peterson (I miss her). Brady tells her to stay away from his family and makes his exit.
Xander approaches Melinda and asks if there is an update on his quest for custody of Victoria. He is unhappy to learn joint custody will likely be the result. Xander wonders if there's anything 'outside the box' they can do. She nails him down on a meaning of 'outside the law' and Xander says maybe.
University Hospital – Lobby: Sarah talks to Justin who clearly thinks the decision will be joint custody. She is furious that she has no options for full custody.
Brady Pub – Apartment: Johnny arrives, and Roman and Marlena jump right in. Roman asks if Johnny shot his father and how his gun disappeared from behind the bar. Marlena pushes and he admits to taking the gun. Marlena tells him about Roman finding the gun in a planter and asks if that's where he left it. Johnny is clearly confused and says it's all kind of a blur. He remembers getting to the mansion and holding the gun on his father. Johnny begins to cry when he recalls EJ telling him not to shoot and how badly he felt his son way paying the price for his sins. When his father asked for the gun, Johnny handed it to him. He didn't shoot his father and feels horrible for ever wanting to do so.
Horton Square: Brady walks up to Xander wanting to talk about Basic Black. Xander has no bandwidth and mentions trying to call for a re-vote of the hospital board. Brady confirms at least one board member could be convinced to change their vote – him.
Endings
Philip accepts a call from Vivian. He says she is the reason he almost died and will never forgive her. Philip says he is done with her forever and hangs up.
Brady confirms he will support Xander if the hospital board votes again. Xander thanks him for the support and Brady exits. Just then, Sarah arrives.
Melinda tells Sophia she can't help her with the adoption because Tate and his family won't stand for it. She promises to try and find her representation in her stead.
Alex explains how he gave the manuscript to Kate, who accidentally left it at the hospital. He goes on to say no one who read it has any clue she wrote it. Before Stephanie can go off on him, Alex says Kate LOVED the manuscript and thinks it could be a best seller. This information clearly intrigues Stephanie.
Roman and Marlena believe Johnny who is relieved to get the story off his chest. Roman doesn't understand how the gun got to the planter when Johnny gave it to EJ. Further, there is no explanation for the missing bullet. Roman says someone else must have used the gun to confront EJ after Johnny left the house.

Did Dillon Gabriel throw shade at Shedeur Sanders?
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel gave a very curious quote during his preseason debut on Saturday in Philadelphia against the Eagles. While talking with a sideline reporter, Gabriel said that "there's entertainers and competitors... and my job is to compete." As soon as Gabriel said that, folks wondered if he was throwing shade at fellow rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who has embraced his celebrity status over the years. The most likely answer to this was always no, as Gabriel clearly isn't careless enough to throw his teammate under the bus on live television. Not even a rookie should make that kind of mistake. After the game, Gabriel affirmed the obvious that he wasn't talking about Sanders at all, more so prioritizing his NFL career and role as a quarterback over having a presence in the media. That makes much more sense. However, that explanation and the context around it won't stop folks from thinking Gabriel got in a subtle diss at Sanders. It's not the case, but the internet will likely run with it anyhow. Who has won the Cleveland quarterback battle? There is no winner just yet, but veteran quarterback Joe Flacco is atop the depth chart. This article originally appeared on For The Win: Did Dillon Gabriel throw shade at Shedeur Sanders?

Woman Matches with 'Cute' Guy on Dating App, Then Realizes It's Her Friend's Boyfriend
The Redditor says the guy "seemed familiar" but she wasn't sure know how she knew him NEED TO KNOW A woman was scrolling on a dating app when she matched with her friend's boyfriend She didn't make the connection at first, but about 10 minutes into their conversation, she realized why he "seemed familiar" Now, she is conflicted about whether or not she should tell her friend A woman was hitting things off with a man she met online until she realized "mid-conversation" that he was dating one of her friends. The poster explained on Reddit that she was recently swiping through a dating app when a profile caught her eye. She said the man was "cute," had a "funny bio" and "seemed familiar," but she "couldn't place him right away." "We match, he messages almost immediately, and we start chatting," she recalls. About 10 minutes into their exchange, the man mentioned his favorite coffee shop, which just so happened to be a place the poster frequents with one of her friends. "Then it clicks. He's her boyfriend," she writes. "I've literally been at double dates with this man." When she confronted him and directly asked if he was still dating her friend, she was shocked by his response. "He says, 'Oh, haha, yeah… but this is just for fun, don't tell her,'" she recalls. "Like he was asking me to keep his little 'oops' secret." The poster says she "unmatched so fast my phone nearly caught fire." Still, now she is "torn" on whether she should tell her friend and "potentially blow up their relationship" or keep his secret to save her the heartbreak. Nearly everyone in the comments urged the poster to tell her friend, and, if possible, save screenshots of her conversation with the boyfriend as "proof." "You're not the one blowing up a relationship by being honest. He did that by stepping outside of their relationship," one user wrote. "This isn't even a question. You tell her. You're not the only person he's chatting with," another added. "You tell your friend. Otherwise when she inevitably does find out and finds out you knew, you will never be friends ever again." The Usual Suspects: Why it's still one of the best crime movies ever
The Usual Suspects made its theatrical debut on August 16, 1995, introducing audiences to one of the cinema's greatest, most shocking crime thrillers. Directed by Bryan Singer, the story follows an interrogation of a con artist (Kevin Spacey) who, after surviving a drug robbery gone wrong, tries to prove the existence of a mythical crime lord who sent him and his partners to carry out their fateful heist. Disregarding the controversies surrounding Singer and Spacey, The Usual Suspects has left behind a prestigious legacy that lasts to this day. Presenting a mind-blowing story told by a fearsome, cunning villain with spectacular performers, The Usual Suspects remains a classic of cinema 30 years after its release. Recommended Videos The American Film Institute even placed it in the Top 10 list for the best mystery films ever made. Though many people already know the movie's legendary twist, The Usual Suspects continues to captivate audiences. An iconic villain steals the show The movie's antagonist, Keyser Söze, cemented himself as one of cinema's greatest villains by executing one of the greatest twists in film history. During the movie, Söze is built up to be a legendary, ruthless crime boss who may or may not exist. The only thing people know about Söze is the story of how he killed his family and the criminals who held them hostage just to prove his willpower. Such a tale established him as a ruthless and fearsome villain driven by the sole purpose of controlling others through fear and lies, turning him into the Devil or Boogeyman of the criminal underworld. The movie also delivers some truly memorable quotes to build up the terror and mystique of Söze. However, the movie changes everything in its final moments, revealing Spacey's character, Verbal Kint, was Söze, who had fabricated an elaborate story based on things he saw in Agent Kujan's (Chazz Palminteri) office to lie his way to freedom. Kint convinced Kujan and the audience that Dean Keaton (Gabriel Byrne) was the real Keyser Söze without even saying it. This resulted in a mind-blowing double twist. As he sheds his disguise as a cowardly, pitiful man with a physical disability, Söze proves how fiendish and frightening a figure he is. Using his skills of deception, he tricked the criminal justice system into letting him go before he retreated into the shadows, proving that evil can take the most unsuspecting form. By portraying such a conniving character with so many emotional masks, Spacey won an Academy Award for his performance as Söze. A memorable twist makes the film more rewatchable Even after the film's big twist, The Usual Suspects still warrants multiple viewings from audiences. Many small details hint at Söze's identity and his clever scheme. For instance, when Kint sits alone in Kujan's office, he is seen looking around all the agent's belongings, silently building the false narrative in his head. Kint is also said to have legal protection from the Prince of Darkness, foreshadowing the reveal of his true identity, Keyser Söze. Audiences may need to watch the movie more than once to catch what they missed the first time, making for an elaborate and surprising narrative that is much more compelling. Despite its deceptive nature, The Usual Suspects tells some hard truths about the real world, and the audience comes to appreciate the story through its rewatchability. The Usual Suspects proves that not everyone is who they appear to be and that the truth is a construct that can easily be distorted. Like a true devil, Söze mixes his lies with the truth to show the flaws of the criminal justice system. Naturally, for his work on the film's mind-blowing script, future Mission: Impossible director Christopher McQuarrie won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. The Writers Guild of America even put the film's script in its list of the 101 Best Screenplays Ever Written. The film features an engaging story, nevertheless At times, it seems like this twist ending of The Usual Suspects has overshadowed the rest of the film. While Söze's story was predominantly false, that shouldn't detract viewers from seeing the value of what came before the film's big twist. What Söze made up remains unclear. Kobayashi turned out to be a real person, proving there may be some truth to Söze's story. Although Keaton's portrayal was based on Söze's fabricated story, it is difficult not to feel sympathy for him. He tries to move on from his criminal past, only to feel compelled to pull off a heist to make money and exact revenge on the NYPD for ruining his chances at a new life. Kujan argues that Keaton wasn't a changed man, and while that may have been true, Söze proved to him that he was wrong about Keaton as well. Perhaps he was trying to change, and the NYPD did prevent him from doing so. Thus, in a bit of tragic irony, the police may have inadvertently driven Keaton and his partners down the road to their destruction. In addition, Spacey's performance shouldn't overshadow the rest of the cast. The Usual Suspects features spectacular performances from its other main players, particularly Byrne, Palminteri, Benicio del Toro, and Pete Postlethwaite. It even shows Giancarlo Esposito giving a noteworthy performance long before he broke out on Breaking Bad. The Usual Suspects may be best known for its twist ending, but the film as a whole has held up three decades after its release. The movie is a gripping, gritty, and gut-wrenching crime thriller, only to flip the script and make everyone revisit and rethink what they witnessed. Few films have come close to replicating such a surprising story, making The Usual Suspects even more remarkable.
