'I like to be light-hearted and I hate to sound depressing, but there is a sadness in this house.'
The former soap star admitted it had been 'a turbulent three years' and that she wanted to start fresh with her children.
Helen hopes to move to London eventually, but for now, they are planning to stay where they are to avoid disrupting her kids' education.
The soap star admitted that she will struggle to downsize from her lavish eight-bedroom house.
Speaking on The Declutter Hub podcast with Ingrid Jansen and Lesley Spellman, she insisted she was 'down to earth' but that moving would be hard.

I put loads of my savings into making it look really beautiful. It's eight bedrooms which is hard to keep on top of - it's a lot,' she shared.
'When we move I will struggle to downsize - I don't want to not sounds down to earth. Bu it will feel weird. It will be more manageable for me.'
Helen split from Scott after 13 years together and then moved on with construction worker Robbie, 45, but they split in May and she now wants to be single.
Speaking to The Mirror, she explained: 'I'm concentrating on the kids, work, moving house and being with my friends.
'I'm quite sensitive and struggle with dating. There's always something with men. Now I want to be single a bit.
'Robbie was very sweet and kind. He was older than me and cared about me. Sometimes relationships just don't work long term.'
