Lewis Capaldi 'confirms' Glastonbury secret set with heartbreaking comeback song
Speculation has been rife for weeks that Lewis Capaldi is set to make a huge comeback at Glastonbury 2025 – and now, we might have proof that the rumours are true.
Earlier this month, it was claimed that the Someone You Loved hitmaker, 28, would be returning to Worthy Farm with a surprise set, having spent the last two years out of the spotlight, focusing on his physical and mental health.
It would be a real full-circle moment for Lewis, who had to fight through tears to finish his set in 2023, relying on the crowd's singing due to vocal issues and a Tourette's flare-up.
At the time, he apologised and admitted he felt 'annoyed' with himself, later making the 'most difficult decision' to retreat from public life and 'adjust' to the impact Tourette's was having.
But for those who have really felt the Lewis-shaped hole in their lives ever since, these billboards look to be confirmation that he's ready to return to the music scene and, let's face it, the charts.
Ahead of Glasto kicking off, unexplained signs have started to appear.
On a white background, the red text reads: 'I've had my share of Monday mornings when I can't get up.'
The line appears to be a rather honest and raw song lyric, with a phone number following on the banners, which people are encouraged to text.
Doing so will see you receive a message containing another line from the tune.
'I'm gonna get up and live until the day that I die,' it says.
But that's not all, as a third lyric has appeared on a billboard beyond Glasto, reading: 'Most nights I fear that I'm not enough', as shared by fans online.
Little else is known about Lewis's rumoured comeback tune, but it is believed to be titled Survive, a rather fitting name given his tumultuous past few years.
Fans on social media are also extremely hyped, with some Down Under claiming to have already heard the song ahead of its official release, thanks to time differences.
'omg lewis capaldi is back', wrote @Jacqui_Watters, who later explained to someone asking how they had the song downloaded: 'it comes out at midnight local time! it's past midnight in australia!'
'if all the lewis capaldi rumors are true i am about to become the most insufferable person ever', tweeted superfan @halos_home.
'Lewis Capaldi what a move… you legend! Welcome back with open arms, I've missed you more than you'll ever know', declared @georgiacookee.
The beloved Scottish pop star is looking likely to perform his latest single – his first release since Strangers and A Cure For Minds Unwell last January – for the first time on Friday.
Sources claim he'll be walking out onto the Pyramid Stage, with the 'secret slot' scheduled between Alanis Morrisette (finishing at 7:15pm) and Biffy Clyro (starting at 8:15pm).
As revellers began arriving at the Farm today, one insider told The Sun: 'Lewis took a decent chunk of time away, and now he's ready for his fans to hear what he has been working on.
'Tomorrow is a huge day for him. He will be releasing a brand new single, and it is his Pyramid Stage performance.
'He is in a great place and feels ready to come back into the spotlight.'
After lying low for a while, Lewis has been spotted publicly several times in recent months.
Last summer, he put in a low-key appearance at Glastonbury, watching Dua Lipa's headline set with pals.
Then, last month, Lewis gave his first live performance since embarking on a brief hiatus.
In an unexpected but pleasant moment, he showed up as a surprise guest at Tom Walker's show for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), which works in suicide prevention, at Assembly Halls in Edinburgh. More Trending
Lewis sang six songs, with fans present later saying on social media that it was 'the best thing ever' to see him.
If Lewis does show up at Glastonbury, where The 1975, Olivia Rodrigo, and Neil Young are headlining, he'll join other rumoured secret performers Haim and Pulp.
Sir Rod Stewart will perform in the coveted Legends Slot.

Biblical sign appears in skies over church after mass: 'Absolutely remarkable'
A crowd of churchgoers witnessed what many believe was a biblical sign as a cloud appeared to take the form of Jesus Christ in broad daylight. The remarkable sight was captured near the Basilica Minore of Our Lady of Peñafrancia in the Philippines on June 14. A crowd had gathered to worship ahead of National Youth Day in the country's Naga City when several parishioners spotted a cloud in the shape of a person standing upright. National Youth Day is a Filipino holiday celebrated on June 19 that emphasizes serving the community and country. As one of the attendees zoomed in, their video allowed those on social media to spot details like a head, long, wispy hair, legs, and an outstretched arm. 'Is it a sign?' one person asked on X. For many in the Philippines, the well-timed sighting was absolutely a sign of a divine presence. However, this may also be a case of pareidolia, a phenomenon that describes the tendency to perceive meaningful images in random or ambiguous visual patterns. Examples of this include people who see a face in a piece of toast or an animal in a cloud. Our minds are wired to recognize things we know, even if they're not really there. However, after the Jesus-shaped cloud went viral online, over 8,000 worshippers reportedly visited the site to honor the holy sign. 'Heaven touches earth in the most unexpected ways. A reminder that Christ is truly with us… even in the skies above,' another believer posted on X. While many on social media have posted messages and Bible verses, sharing their belief that the cloud was a heavenly sign, others voiced skepticism that it was really an image of Jesus. 'I believe in Jesus, but that's a cloud,' one person wrote on X. 'It's just a cloud. And it looks more like Beyoncé than Jesus,' another user claimed. Meanwhile, some held onto their faith but kept an open mind about what the sign was trying to show the gathering of Filipino youths. 'I think it's an apparition, but not sure it's Jesus. Perhaps the Holy Mother Mary or an angel. I do believe cloud formations are often created and intentional,' one believer posted Thursday. On a scientific level, cloud formations are natural phenomena that appear when water vapor in the atmosphere condenses into visible droplets or ice crystals, creating clouds that can take on various shapes. These clouds can look like fluffy cotton balls, thin wisps, or heavy, dark sheets, depending on weather conditions like temperature and humidity. Sometimes, people see clouds that resemble objects, animals, or even human figures, like the Jesus-shaped cloud reported over Naga City. This isn't the first time religious individuals have reported seeing an image of Jesus in the sky. In 2020, Caroline Hawthorne spotted a bizarre cloud formation from her kitchen window in the UK, which she firmly believed was an image of Jesus or an angel. In Italy, onlookers in 2019 captured remarkable images of what looked like the figure of Jesus appearing above the town of Agropoli as sunlight broke through the clouds. An even more astonishing sight was caught on video in 2017, when locals in the Colombian city of Manizales said they recorded the figure of Jesus appearing near the site of a devastating landslide. A crowd gathered to film the sunlight slanting through clouds where 17 people were killed by landslides after a month's worth of rain fell in just one night. The rare cloud phenomenon was recorded on a mountain called Sancancio and the glowing figure provided comfort to the residents who lost homes, loved ones, and jobs in the natural disaster.

He has previously been jailed for the manslaughter of a man at a homeless shelter. In the latest scare, charges said he had attended a building where he believed singer Cheryl to be present in Buckinghamshire on June 19. He was then understood to have been arrested in a swoop on his bail hostel. Advertisement Last Saturday he appeared before Reading magistrates' court when he was remanded in custody. He returned to the court yesterday to plead guilty to a single count of breaching the restraining order. District judge Davinder Sandhu refused bail and sent the case to the town's crown court for sentencing on September 23. Bannister, who gave his home address as a bail hostel in Brixton, South London, faces up to five years in jail. Advertisement In March, when the creep was caged for 16 weeks, a court heard how his campaign of harassment began when he went to Cheryl's mansion on January 25, 2024. The former X Factor judge saw a stranger approach her doorbell camera and say: 'It's Dan. I've come to get Cheryl.' Cheryl terrorised by convicted killer stalker who turned up at home 3 weeks after Liam Payne funeral He called again in July 2024 and asked through the intercom: 'I'm really thirsty. Can I have a glass of wine please?' The court at the time heard he 'can't stay away' from the singer. Advertisement Prosecutor Datta Ryan said that visit had made Cheryl feel 'violated and terrified and unsafe in her home'. Bannister was arrested and jailed for four months in September 2024, when he got a three-year restraining order banning him from contacting her. But after he was released from prison he returned to the property on December 10, 2024 — as revealed exclusively by The Sun this January. We told how Bannister's visit came weeks after grieving Cheryl had attended the funeral of her ex, One Direction star and Bear's dad Liam Payne, who fell to his death in Buenos Aires last October. Advertisement In a statement to cops — read to the court this March — Cheryl said: 'I immediately panicked when I saw Daniel. I was in a state of alarm and shock. I feared for my safety immediately and I feared for my child's safety. He was due back from the cinema and I didn't want him to see Daniel.' 6 Previous incidents have left Girls Aloud star Cheryl — mum to son Bear — 'violated and terrified' Credit: The Mega Agency 6 Bannister's visit came weeks after grieving Cheryl had attended the funeral of her ex, One Direction star and Bear's dad Liam Payne Credit: PA:Press Association Bannister's lawyer said the wannabe musician had gone back to the house after his arrest because he wanted to 'reassure her'. Advertisement Lawyer Colin Mackrell said Bannister 'formed in his mind an affectionate view of Ms Tweedy and he believes that was somehow reciprocated'. A judge imposed a new indefinite order which prevents him from contacting Cheryl or entering any building where he knows or believes she might be. Bannister was previously jailed for 30 months in 2012 for manslaughter after he launched a 'sustained' fatal attack on Rajendra Patel, 48. CCTV showed Bannister punching and kicking Mr Patel at a YMCA in Croydon, South East London. Advertisement Last night, neighbours of the Brixton bail hostel which Bannister gave as his address in court described him as a wild-haired loner. Police were understood to have arrested him there just a day after he called cops to accuse a neighbour of trying to break into his home. One man, 35, said: 'When the police arrested him he was just smiling. He was paranoid. Another neighbour, 25, said: 'We didn't have any interaction with the guy. He looked like he was in his own head. I'm a beauty writer and Clinique's new lipstick is the perfect summer makeup staple
I'm a beauty writer and Clinique's new lipstick is the perfect summer makeup staple Clinique's new Nude Honey has recently launched and beauty writer Eve can see why it's already such a hit Clinique has introduced a new Almost Lipstick into the fold: Nude Honey and beauty writer Eve Rowlands tried it out (Image: Eve Rowlands ) When it comes to wearing lip products in the summer, I personally want something that feels lightweight and that doesn't require too much maintenance. Something that stands out as something different to my natural lip colour but doesn't need too much upkeep throughout the day (nor something that melts off in the heat). And after trying out Clinique's newest Almost Lipstick launch, Nude Honey, I think I've found the perfect summer lip product. Now, I will admit, I have never really been one for nude lipstick, I tend to favour a bold red when my skin is behaving (hello Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Vixen) in an attempt to enhance and brighten my usually quite pale complexion. On the days when I want something a little less va-va-voom, I opt for a lip balm to give my lips some much-needed nourishment. However, having tried Clinique's latest addition to its viral Black and Pink Honey Almost Lipstick empire - the new Nude Honey - I think my nude lippy days are here. Read more: Roman's go-to summer midi dress for weddings and parties now has 21% off Read more: Fashion writer's 'top picks from Ann Summers' festival collection ahead of Glastonbury Having followed the viral success of the brand's previous Almost Lipstick shades - black honey and pink honey - I had high hopes. And they were well and truly met. Firstly, the formula is silky smooth and is both shiny and creamy. It feels super nourishing and hydrating on the lips and best of all doesn't leave their dry bits with a bit of a crispy cast that my trusty lip balm hasn't quite managed to eliminate (something red lipstick tends to accentuate). Shop it here £25.00 Clinique Buy Now on Clinique Product Description Clinique's new Almost Lipstick shade Nude Honey Priced at £25 the product - which is described as somewhere between a lipstick and a lip gloss - claims to be buildable and is available at both Clinique and Boots. Of course, if £25 is a little steep, there are a number of tinted lip balms out there that'll help do the trick, for example Lanolip's pink Tinted SPF30 balm at £8.99 or KIKO Milano Coloured Lip Balm, £6.99. On first application, the colour is quite sheer and doesn't change the lip colour drastically but instead gives it depth. To add to its colour, let the lippy settle for a few minutes and then add to it - this should then create a deeper hue that is warm with brown undertones but it's too warm to wash me out. Although I will say the brand says that the colour of the lippy looks different on each wearer but is the ideal blend of warm and cool pigment. Beauty Writer Eve Rowlands wearing the Nude Honey shade in Clinique's Almost Lipstick (Image: Eve Rowlands ) As for the texture, it feels like applying lip balm thanks to smooth, shiny make up but is a tad more luxurious with its silver casing and lipstick shape. The emollient-rich formula leaves my lips looking subtly glossy - but not overly so - and without the stickiness a lip gloss delivers; a detail I love when it comes to lipsticks as it means I don't get strands of hair attached to my lips should a gust of wind blow my way. Its long and slender casing makes it convenient to carry in my handbag too as it's lightweight and slim. Plus, being relatively small - in comparison to more chunky lipstick shapes - the packaging offers elite precision during application. Now, having worn it a number of times to different occasions, one constant I noticed was that it doesn't last all day. After a few hours, I needed to reapply the product - although it wasn't too much of a bother and is typically the case with lipsticks anyway. It also may require a bit of lip liner too as I found that it bled out over my natural lip line, which needed touching up in the mirror. Article continues below I also loved that it didn't have a scent - not chemically nor sweet and sickly. While I've not yet experimented with it over or under any other lip colours, as suggested by the website, I do enjoy the boost it gives my lips when worn alone and will definitely be incorporating it into my daily beauty regimen. Get it here.
