Is that Donald Trump with Mickey Mouse? Disneyland figure sparks 'outrage'
Whether it's about placing his golden statue in the AI-imagined 'Riviera of the Middle East', or sharing yet another AI-generated photo of himself in the papal outfit ahead of the papal conclave – Trump simply loves to see himself reigning everywhere!
Why would Disneyland be any different?
Donald at Disneyland?
At Disneyland this week, a striking golden sculpture of Walt Disney has captured the attention of visitors, sparking conversations due to its unexpected resemblance to a more familiar figure.
As the beloved Anaheim, California, theme park commences its grand 70th-anniversary celebration, a vibrant and intricately designed sculpture of Sleeping Beauty Castle has been unveiled in the bustling main esplanade.
This distinctive installation, created as a unique photo opportunity, showcases a charmingly petite version of the iconic castle, adorned with colorful turrets. Each turret is topped with imaginative silhouettes and flags that pay homage to the various themed lands within the park.
For example, the turret representing Frontierland features a whimsical steamboat, while Fantasyland boasts a graceful carousel horse.
Tomorrowland is represented by the well-known Space Mountain silhouette, among others.
However, what drew the attention of the onlookers was the silhouette of a man holding Mickey Mouse's hand.
The golden silhouette:
At the pinnacle of this artistic creation lies a miniature rendition of the famous "Partners" statue.

But what's wrong with it?
Park visitors quickly began to note an uncanny resemblance between the depiction of the man's silhouette with President
Donald Trump
, particularly due to the statue's hairstyle that closely mimics Trump's characteristic voluminous swoop.
As soon as the parkgoers pointed this out, and one popular Instagram creator, with the user ID @disneyscoopguy, shared a post about it – the internet went into a frenzy, thinking the Prez might have really had his figure installed!
However, in all truth, the silhouette in the installation isn't Donald Trump, but it is Walt Disney himself, depicting himself, hand-in-hand with Mickey Mouse, gazing out towards the horizon as if envisioning the magic ahead.
The 'outrage':
In the past few days, some guests, including @disneyscoopguy, observed that the peculiar spire had seemingly vanished overnight, sparking speculation about Disneyland's responsiveness to public opinion.
In a video documenting this development, he expressed, 'It seems Disneyland has been attentively monitoring social media reactions, as they promptly removed one of the spire toppers.' He further elaborated that many felt the figure bore a striking resemblance to Trump rather than the intended likeness of Walt Disney, noting that the finger gesture was altered as well, depicting a single finger point instead of the classic two.
Though Disneyland was initially silent in response to requests for comment, within a short period, guests reported the return of the spire topper, albeit with subtle modifications. In a follow-up video, @disneyscoopguy showcased what appeared to be a less voluminous hairstyle on the figure, now aligning more closely with Walt's authentic appearance in the original "Partners" statue.
It remains uncertain whether alterations were made to the figure's hand gestures.
The creator then shared his updated thoughts, stating, "The
Disneyland 70th anniversary
esplanade photo op looks absolutely incredible! And they fixed Walt Disney!"
For the unversed, Disneyland's 70th-anniversary festivities officially launched on Friday, May 16, and promise to delight guests with new parades, mesmerizing nighttime spectaculars, vibrant decorations, exclusive merchandise, and an abundance of enchanting experiences that will last through the summer of 2026. The park first opened its doors to visitors on July 17, 1955, forever changing the landscape of theme parks and family entertainment.

You have to test them, and then you gotta, a lot of times, go all the way and start all over again,' Knowles said. Meghan chimed in, 'I know, trust me.' 'You can say, 'Oh, I made this in my house' ... I'm going, 'I just picked these strawberries, and it's so great! Look, I just put a little bit of sugar and some Meyer lemon,' and you try to scale that up and you're wanting to manage expectations, but you want to share the thing you've worked so hard on,' Meghan added alluding to her own jam. 'Then what do you do? You say, OK. We planned as best as we could,' the Suits star said. 'Are we going to replenish and sell out again in an hour, or is that annoying as a customer?' On This Day In 1993: Shane Warne Stuns Cricket World With 'Ball Of The Century'
Last Updated: On this day in 1993: Shane Warne bowled the "ball of the century" to dismiss Mike Gatting in the Ashes, marking a turning point in his career. On This Day In 1993: Spin wizard Shane Warne 's legendary career was glittered with some of the most awe-inspiring moments on the field. From his mesmerising leg-spinners to the straight-going flippers, Warne brought many tricks to the fore and left many batters perplexed during his heyday. But the moment that came to define him was reserved for England stalwart Mike Gatting on this day in 1993. Playing his first ever Ashes, the then 23-year-old Warne unfurled perhaps the greatest trick up his sleeve, the delivery that later came to be known as the 'ball of the century'. Less than a year after an unimpressive initiation in Test cricket, Warne turned his fortunes and became an overnight sensation with a leg-spinner that made even the experienced Gatting look clueless for how sharply it went past his outside edge. The dream delivery from the magician came in the first innings on Day 2 in the Manchester Test, carrying the most perfect revs, drift, dip and vicious turn. The ball from over-the-wicket deviated a long way after pitching leg-stump and rushed past Gatting's outside edge to hit the top of his off-stump. The moment the bails were dislodged, Warne roared amidst a jam-packed Old Trafford crowd while Gatting stood still in disbelief, unable to truly grasp what had happened. Warne's Gatting dismissal made waves and kicked off his love affair with English soil where he dismantled the hosts many times in Ashes contests during his career. The charismatic cricketer bagged the 'Player of the Match' award in his very first away Ashes Test with figures of 4/51 and 4/86 in Australia's massive win. Warne went on to take a glorious 708 Test wickets, the second highest by a spinner in Tests, including a stellar 129 scalps in England at an average of 21.94 with 8 five-wicket hauls. On the 28th anniversary of the famous ball of the century, Warne had hailed it as a moment that changed his life and pulled Gatting's leg, saying Thank you for missing it completely. 'This day changed my life 28 years ago (1993). I was just 23 years old and playing in my first ever #ashes series & this was my first ball. Still can't believe it happened. Thanks for missing it Mr Gatting & making this ball become what is now known as the #ballofthecentury hahaha," the legend wrote in an Instagram post back in 2021. 'I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dogs,' she shared. 'I took full responsibility.' "The Power to Recreate Your Identity,' Nazanin Mandi Tells All That full responsibility hasn't come cheap. 'I had a dog bill the other day that was $2,000,' she said, adding with a laugh, 'And I love my kids, but how did y'all come to that conclusion because that's impressive?' Nicole admired the maturity behind Mandi's arrangement with Miguel, noting, 'That speaks to the relationship you guys still have. That means you guys are in a good, healthy, safe space to be able to make adult decisions. ' Nicole's role as a pet mom began during her relationship with Kelce, when she first introduced Chauncey in a 2017 Instagram post filled with humor and love. 'I would like to formally introduce you all to our son Chauncey Gallagher Kelce The First,' she wrote, noting his quirks like eating his own poop and burying it in the couch. 'Me love him,' she ended, adding the hashtag #NationalTakeYourSonToWorkDay. On a recent Second Wind podcast, she expressed frustration over being labeled as "Travis Kelce's ex."
