Top LSU football recruiting target reveals decision date. Will LSU land the five-star?
LSU and South Carolina are considered the front-runners for Gray's services. According to the Rivals' Prediction Machine, LSU is the favorite with a 51.1% chance to land Gray. South Carolina is No. 2 with a 32.5% shot at Gray.
Per the Rivals' Industry Rankings, Gray is a five-star and the No. 1-ranked interior offensive lineman in the class of 2026. 247Sports is the highest on Gray, slotting the Virginia product as the No. 16 overall recruit. ESPN isn't quite as high on Gray, placing him No. 73 overall.
LSU and offensive line coach Brad Davis have already secured four offensive line commitments in the class of 2026. Gray would be the fifth and the highest-ranked of the bunch.
The top-ranked offensive lineman already in the fold is four-star tackle Brysten Martinez, the No. 9-ranked tackle in the class.
LSU is contending for the No. 1-ranked recruiting class in 2026. The Tigers' class is loaded at the top, but Brian Kelly and staff are still looking to add volume. Landing Gray would keep LSU in the race for the top class.

Will Levis undergoing season-ending surgery as Titans hand keys to Cam Ward
Will Levis' 2025 NFL season is over before it even began. Levis will undergo season-ending surgery July 29 on his right shoulder, the Titans announced Monday, due to an injury he sustained last season that has reportedly led to continued discomfort. 'After consulting with doctors and his representatives, Will Levis has decided to undergo shoulder surgery that will sideline him for the entire 2025 season. We support his decision to focus on his long-term health,' the Titans said in a statement. 'He approached the offseason with professionalism and showed clear growth as a leader. We remain confident in his full recovery.' Levis first suffered his injury on Sept. 30 against the Dolphins in the Titans' Week 4 win last season. The 6-foot-4 quarterback dove for a first down and exited the game with an AC joint injury. While it didn't seem likely that Levis would have a starting role in Tennessee this season after the Titans selected quarterback Cam Ward No. 1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, general manager Mike Borgonzi confirmed earlier in the offseason that the plan was to 'have competition in the room.' With Levis out of the picture for this season, Ward is joined by veterans Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle in the quarterback room. Entering his third season in the league, Levis, the 33rd pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has led the Titans to just a 5-16 record in games he's started. The 26-year-old showed some flashes during his rookie season with eight touchdowns to four interceptions, but he followed that up with 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in his sophomore season. Levis is expected to be healthy in time for the 2026-27 season.

Cam Ward gives blunt assessment of ‘very mid' Titans offense
Cam Ward isn't sugarcoating the state of the Titans' offense. 'I just think we're very mid right now,' the rookie quarterback told reporters after Wednesday's training camp practice. 'From my position, to up front, to the receiver position, but, at the end of the day, it all starts with me.' Ward, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is expected to start the season as Tennessee's starting quarterback. 'I just don't think we're where we need to be. But we've got a little bit of time. Every day we get better as a whole. We're a young team. But that's no excuse.' It's been a tough week at training camp for Ward, who has thrown four interceptions in the two practices since pads came on. Titans quarterback Cam Ward said the team's offensive is 'very mid right now' on Wednesday. AP 'I have to get on the same page with my receivers, watch more film, and be more accurate with the football,' Ward added. That marks a significant shift in tone from last week, when Ward said the Titans were 'capable of being one of the best offenses in the league.' Tennessee secured the top pick by posting a league-worst 3-14 record last season, but Ward's addition to the roster has those around the organization hopeful for an instant improvement. The 23-year-old will have wide receivers Calvin Ridley, Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson as his three primary targets, along with tight end Chig Okonkwo. Titans quarterback Cam Ward during Wednesday's training camp practice. AP Ward, a 2024 Heisman Trophy finalist, had an outstanding senior season at Miami in which he led the nation in passing touchdowns (39), yards per pass attempt (9.5) and yards per completion (14.1). Before that, the West Columbia, Texas native played college football at Incarnate Word (2020-21) and Washington State (2021-23). Despite the quarterback's struggles in training camp, Titans coach Brian Callahan said before Wednesday's practice that he had full confidence that Ward would bounce back. 'It's just sort of how he's wired,' Callahan said. 'I feel really good about how he'll respond to any negativity in general.' The Titans open the season on the road against the Broncos on Sept. 7.

Fired Titans GM issues ‘ultimate' take on Cam Ward's competitive fire
The post Fired Titans GM issues 'ultimate' take on Cam Ward's competitive fire appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Tennessee Titans had a nightmarish 2024 season, but they were rewarded with the No. 1 overall pick and Miami quarterback Cam Ward. Now, the burden is on Ward's shoulders to come in and be the savior of the Titans franchise. Ward was expected to be in a quarterback battle in training camp, which kicked off on Tuesday, with Will Levis, but he won the job by default when it was announced that Levis will miss the entire 2025 season with a shoulder injury. That may be a lot for a rookie, especially with a shaky situation around him, but his college tape suggests that he could be ready for it. The Titans are also operating with a new front office led by general manager Mike Borgonzi after firing former general manager Ran Carthon after the 2024 season. However, Carthon still has had his eye on Tennessee and Ward, who he had some very nice words for on Wednesday on SiriusXM NFL Radio. 'If you're out at Central St. Thomas Sports Park, which is where (the Titans) hold their training camp practices, you're gonna hear two voices as soon as you step out on the field. You're gonna hear Jeffery Simmons and Arden Key,' Carthon said. 'That's gonna be consistent all day long. In the time that I was there, you never really heard that voice come from the offense. … Now, the Titans have a guy, a competitor in Cam Ward that's gonna chirp back and you'll probably hear his voice now first above those other two even though those guys are vets. 'I think they're getting the ultimate competitor. I think Cam is extremely intelligent and just his ability to not only pick up the offense but be able to process it, and then have an opinion on plays and formations and things that he likes to implement. And he has a head coach in Brian Callahan that is gonna give the quarterback a voice.' While Carthon isn't in the building overseeing some of the day-to-day in Tennessee anymore, he still has a feel for the building and the organization and is clearly very high on what Ward can bring to the table there. This Titans roster may be a ways away from competing for a playoff spot, much less a championship. But if Carthon is right in his assessment of Ward, they will be on the path to those conversations sooner rather than later.
