Lucknow: Another spell of rain accompanied by thunderstorms in some parts of the city provided relief from high humidity levels on Thursday. According to weatherman, similar rainfall activities are expected for next three days.
"Rainfall received on Thursday was due to western disturbance and trough line passing through the state and similar conditions are expected over next three days," said Mohammad Danish, senior scientist of state met department.
He said 1.2 mm rainfall was recorded at Amausi airport, but considerably heavy rainfall was recorded in other parts of the city. On Friday, it will be generally cloudy with few spells of moderate rain or thundershowers.
The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively. Meanwhile, in the state, there will be rain or thundershowers, which are very likely at a few places over West UP and at many places over East UP.
Heavy rain is very likely at isolated places over the state.
During last 24 hours, southwest monsoon remained weak over western Uttar Pradesh and normal over eastern UP. During this period, light to moderate rainfall occurred at isolated places over the entire state and heavy rainfall was recorded in scattered places over eastern UP. Besides, thunderstorms were also observed at some places over eastern UP.

New Delhi, Aug 10 (PTI) The national capital on Sunday recorded a maximum temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius, 7.8 notches below the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The minimum temperature settled at 28.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average, the IMD stated. The IMD has forecast thunderstorm with rain on Monday, with the maximum and minimum temperatures expected to settle around 34 degrees and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively. Relative humidity was recorded at 67 per cent at 5:30 pm. The air quality was recorded in the 'Satisfactory' category at 4 pm on Sunday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 68, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed. According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe'. Khagaria: Incessant rain in the catchment area and rising Ganga and Burhi Gandak river have so far affected at least 17 panchayats of Khagaria, Gogri and Parbatta blocks of the district. A number of villages in diara areas, including Barkhandi Tola, Jangli Tola, Mathar, Tauffir, Navtoliya, Tikapur, English Tola, Sonversa, Bharson, Kulharia, Lagar, Temtha Karari, Jorawarpur and Kabela panchayats under Parbatta block have been hit by the floodwater of the Ganga river. Similarly, water from Ganga has entered Rahimpur, Uttari and Dakshini Rahimpur and Madhya Rahimpur while Lohianagar and Baluahi localities under Khagaria block have been affected by water of Burhi Gandak river. A large number of marooned people have taken shelter either on the NH-31 or various embankments of the area. In view of the gravity of the situation, DM Navin Kumar along with DDC Abhishek Palasia and disaster management in charge Kaushiki Kashyap visited the affected areas on Saturday. The DM asked the official concerned to distribute adequate relief materials. However, heavy rain is expected to continue in the North Bengal districts. "The weather over Kolkata has cleared, and there is little possibility of rain till Monday.
