He directed the municipal corporation to focus on urban cleanliness and the panchayati raj department on rural sanitation. Yogi also mobilised officials by mentioning that being posted in the ancient city of Kashi, a centre of Sanatan Dharma, is a matter of fortune for all, hence each department should perform better. The CM said that all departments should conduct public hearings promptly and resolve complaints received through IGRS, CM Helpline with quality assurance. "Illegal mining should be strictly stopped, and those involved should face stringent action," he said. Yogi also reviewed preparations for International Yoga Day on June 21 and said that the events should be organized grandly with public participation. Asking to prioritise the restoration of rivers, Yogi directed officials to create an effective action plan with public involvement for the restoration of Varuna and Assi.
