Omar Berrada confident Man Utd can deliver men's and women's titles by 2028
Berrada, who first told staff of his 'Project 150' vision in September last year, knows that represents a significant challenge with Ruben Amorim's side having just endured a worst top-flight season since relegation in 1973-74, while Chelsea continue to dominate the Women's Super League.
However, he believes marking a major milestone in the club's history since it was founded as Newton Heath in 1878 with double title success is realistic.
In an interview with the United We Stand fanzine to be published on Wednesday, Berrada said: 'It's establishing a series of targets within a timeframe so we can focus our efforts and energy on that goal.
'Can the team win the Premier League title by 2028? Of course.
'We've just finished 15th and it seems an impossible task. But why not aim for it? Why not do everything in our power?'
While United finished third in the WSL, 16 points behind champions Chelsea who also beat them in the FA Cup final, the men languished just three places above the Premier League relegation zone and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham.
Nevertheless, Berrada is sticking to his timetable.
He said: 'I firmly believe we can do it. We have two or three summer windows to build a team to start competing to win the Premier League.'

Duggan, who played for Everton, Manchester City – with whom she won the WSL title – Barcelona and Atletico Madrid during a glittering career which also brought 79 senior international caps, announced her retirement at the age of 33 in September last year. However, she admitted her excitement at a development she believes is significant for the women's game in this country. She said: 'Obviously clubs now have to adhere to certain things. They have to have a stadium big enough, they have to be able to have television companies there, they have to have good facilities. 'I just think that's important for women's football. It's a given for the men's teams, so that's the direction the women's game has gone in and now we're in a position where we're ready to make it a 14-team league, and I think it's exciting.' If the expansion from a 12-team WSL to 14 gets FA approval, it offers three Women's Championship clubs the chance to gain promotion during the 2025-26 campaign. The top two in the Championship – which will be rebranded as Women's Super League 2 from next season – will go up automatically and the third-placed side will take on the team which finished bottom of the WSL in a play-off.

FA charges referee Coote in relation to comments on Klopp
June 17 (Reuters) - Premier League referee David Coote was charged by the Football Association on Tuesday in relation to comments he made about former Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp in a video that went viral last year. Coote had been sacked by English soccer referees' body PGMOL after a video, recorded in July 2020, circulated on social media showing the official allegedly abusing Klopp and after a full investigation, his position was deemed untenable. "It's alleged that the referee acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words contrary to FA Rule E3.1," the FA said in a statement. "It's further alleged that this constitutes an 'Aggravated Breach', which is defined in FA Rule E3.2, as it included a reference – whether express or implied – to nationality." Rule E3 deals with improper conduct that brings the game into disrepute, including insulting words or behaviour, while it also covers actions that question the integrity of match officials. In November, the FA said they were also investigating allegations that Coote had discussed booking a player the day before a game with a friend, which the referee denied. "No charges have been issued in relation to allegations of gambling misconduct against David Coote, which were also fully investigated," the FA added. Europe's soccer governing body also said Coote was banned from any UEFA refereeing activity until June 2026. The 42-year-old had apologised for his actions. The Sun also published a video which the newspaper said showed Coote appearing to snort white powder during his time working as a match official at Euro 2024.
