
Telangana keen on hosting global collaborations: Sridhar Babu
Agro-innovation, AI-driven governance, smart healthcare systems, digital farming, future-ready education, sustainable manufacturing and clean energy, are some of the areas Telangana is keen on hosting global collaborations, Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said here on Friday.
The Minister, who was addressing Global Leaders' Summit 2025 in which delegates from 25 countries participated, said this seeking to underscore how true partnerships go beyond finances with thrust on shared progress.
'That's why we aim to collaborate globally in a number of areas such as agro-innovation, and AI-driven governance...,' he told the gathering, while citing numbers that make Telangana and its progress an ideal partner.
While other States tend to follow trends, Telangana is a pioneer, the Minister said, calling upon investors to 'come to co-create and be a part of a transformative journey.'
He said that the State has emerged as a beacon of inclusive growth and good governance, with its GDP reaching ₹16.12 lakh crore, growing at a rate of 10.1%, surpassing the national average of 9.9%; per capita income at ₹3.79 lakh nearly 1.8 times the national average. In the past 18 months alone, Telangana attracted investments of more than ₹3 lakh crore. Life Sciences sector alone received ₹40,000 crore investments and generated more than 2 lakh new jobs.
Services sector contributes 66.3% to the State's GDP compared to the national average of 55%. 'Telangana is unstoppable,' Mr. Sridhar Babu said. The Minister's office in a release said the 25 countries included Brazil, Germany, Russia, Cameroon, Malta, the UK, Bulgaria, Belgium, UAE and Dubai. He urged the foreign participants to spread the word on Telangana's business-friendly environment as also the incentives government extended to industries.
