From this week, quizzes will take over from 2pm and will dominate the scheudles right through until the ITV Evening News.
It's good news for fans of Celebrity Catchphrase with the primetime show now being aired at 2pm each afternoon.
ITV will be airing a slew of re-runs of the programme fronted by Stephen Mulhern before its usual three quiz mainstays.
As usual, Adil Ray 's Lingo will then follow at 3pm before This Morning star Ben Shephard swoops in with Tipping Point at 4pm.
The four-hour marathon will then be closed out by ITV's quizzing juggernaut, The Chase, at 5pm.
It means fans will have a total of four hours worth of quiz shows to keep them entertained.
This schedule shake-up comes shortly after ITV launched its very own dedicated quiz channel to purely focus on their quiz outputs.
ITV Quiz replaced ITVBe known for airing hit reality shows and programmes from across the pond.
Much-loved shows such as TOWIE and Real Housewives moved to ITV2 as a result of the massive shake-up.
When announcing the move earlier this month, bosses said ITV Quiz will feature the broadcaster's "market-leading UK quiz and game shows".
All Saints' Mel Blatt struggles with £5k riddle on Celebrity Catchphrase - but could you have got it right?
Wheel of Fortune, Tipping Point, Lingo, Tenable, the rebooted and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? all appear on the channel.
Elsewhere, The Chase has its own dedicated channel on ITVX.
Episodes are screened 24 hours a day via a special channel created for the online streaming service.
Hardest Quiz Show Questions
Would you know the answers to some of quizzing TV's hardest questions
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Earlier this year, fans were left outraged after what they described as the "worst" question in the show's history. Host Jeremy Clarkson asked: 'From the 2000 awards ceremony onwards, the Best Actress Oscar has never been won by a woman whose surname begins with which one of these letters?' The multiple choice answers were between G, K, M and W. In the end, and with the £32,000 safe, player Glen had to make a guess and went for G. It turned out to be correct as Nicole Kidman, Frances McDormand and Kate Winslet are among the stars who have won the Best Actress gong since 2000.
The 1% Club - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. The query went as follows: "Edna's birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen's birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir's birthday must be the 'X' of January." It turns out the conundrum links the numbers with its position in the sentence, so 6th is the sixth word and 15th is the fifteenth word. Therefore, Amir's birthday is January 24th, corresponding to the 24th word in the sentence.
The Chase - The ITV daytime favourite left fans scratching their heads when it threw up one of the most bizarre questions to ever grace the programme. One of the questions asked the player: "Someone with a nightshade intolerance should avoid eating what?" The options were - sweetcorn, potatoes, carrots - with Steve selecting sweetcorn but the correct answer was potatoes.

The 2025 Curse of Corrie – how the soap's stars have suffered heartbreaking splits this year

IT is safe to say that 2025 really has not been a great year for the country's longest running soap opera Coronation Street. From budget cuts to episode axes to a major cast cull, the show has found itself in the spotlight for mostly the wrong reasons this year. 7 7 But it isn't just on-screen where things have been going from bad to worse. Beyond the cobbles, the stars of the show have also been dealing with their own personal heartbreaks. It appears to be the year of off-screen splits for the Weatherfield lot too with many of the show's cast calling it a day with their beloved partners. From sirens of years gone past to current fan favourites on the show, it's been a pretty heartbreaking year for the stars of soap. The Sun takes a look at some of the Corrie's casts shock splits and what drove them to breaking point in their once solid romances. Katie McGlynn 7 Sinead Tinker actress Katie McGlynn left her fans stunned when she was revealed to be in a relationship with forgotten The Only Way Is Essex star, Ricky Rayment. This week, it was confirmed that Katie, who started dating former reality star Ricky after meeting on a cruise ship in 2023, had decided to call time on their romance, despite the couple sparking engagement rumours last February. They quietly began to remove traces of each other from their social media before their split was revealed by the MailOnline. One source said: "Katie and Ricky have ended their romance, they're still friends and want to remain civil but in terms of a romantic relationship, it's definitely over." They added that they found it "difficult" to maintain a long distance relationship, with Katie in Manchester and Ricky in Essex. Ex-Coronation Street & Strictly star 'headed for divorce' after just two years as she deletes husband from social media Ricky, who was previously engaged to Marnie Simpson, rose to fame on the ITV reality show in 2012 before leaving 10 years ago. Georgia May Foote 7 Another former soap actress who has been facing a heartbreaking battle is Katy Armstrong star Georgia May Foote. The Sun told earlier this week how the actress was headed for divorce with her husband Kris Evans just two years on from their intimate wedding ceremony. Georgia has removed her wedding ring and wiped all traces of the musician who she once called her 'best friend' from her Instagram page — including glossy snaps from their wedding. A source told The Sun: 'Georgia's marriage to Kris seems to be over. 'It's on the rocks. 'She's looking to the future and is surrounded by friends and her family.' Despite the split, the pair are understood to still be living together as they figure out their next steps amid the split. A source admitted that the pair were happy enough to still be living together but Georgia isn't sure that Kris fits into her life moving forward following a devastating fire at her nail salon. The actress opened the salon amid struggles to find acting work and financial hardship. She is now aiming to crowdfund to raise cash in the wake of her split and the business burning down. Georgia Taylor 7 At the start of the year, it was revealed that Toyah Battersby actress Georgia Taylor had split from her co-star lover. Whilst on-screen, Toyah enjoyed an on-off marriage with husband, Imran Habeeb, away from screens, actress Georgia was dating her on-screen husband's actor in real life - Charlie de Melo. The 44-year-old had been romancing the soap hunk since late 2022 - just months after Charlie's character was killed off the soap and their pretend marriage crumbled. However, it is thought that the pair quietly called it quits in late 2024 before the news was made public in January of this year. A friend revealed: 'Georgia and Charlie are no longer a couple, but they remain friends who care about each other deeply. 'They have lots of happy memories together, but are both really focused on work at the moment and looking forward to the future, there are no hard feelings.' Charlie's character was killed off in June 2022 when he died of a heart attack, leaving millions of Corrie viewers in tears. Georgia said at the time she was heartbroken by Charlie's decision to leave the ITV show. Speaking in 2022, she said: 'I absolutely adore him. He's been a dream. "He's so funny so we laugh a lot but he is honestly one of the most supportive people I have ever worked with." Shortly after Georgia's gushing comments, they found themselves starting a romance in real life. Tina O'Brien 7 Sarah Platt actress Tina was left nursing her own heartbreak earlier this year when it was revealed she had split from her husband, Adam Crofts. It is understood the pair called it quits at the top of the year following a stressful house move. The 41-year-old soap actress decided it would be better for them to live apart after wishing to spend some time alone. They both quickly ditched their wedding rings and decided to unfollow each other online. However, sources insisted they were "still close" and would remain so for the sake of their son, Beau. Tina and Adam started dating in 2011 before marrying on New Year's Eve in Manchester in 2018. Corrie cash crisis: shock exits for 2025 ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap. This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama. Colson Smith - Craig Tinker The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years. After he was told of the news in Autumn 2024, Colson Smith confirmed that would be written out of the show with scenes to air later this year. Craig's on-screen mum, Beth Tinker, also left the show in the summer when actress Lisa George was written out from the role. Sue Cleaver - Eileen Grimshaw After 25 years playing Eileen Grimshaw, former I'm A Celebrity campmate Sue Cleaver will quit the show. The Sun on Sunday reported in January that she's already begun to film her exit scenes. However the character will not be killed off in case Sue opts to make a return in the future. Luca Toolan - Mason Radcliffe Bosses decided to axe the teenage character after just 16 months after he first joined the show. Recent scenes saw Mason stabbed by his criminal brothers after his pal Dylan brought a knife in an attempt to defend him. Sue Devaney - Debbie Webster In November 2024, we revealed that Debbie Webster is set to be killed off after 40 years on the cobbles. The character will die as part of a heartbreaking long-running dementia storyline. Charlotte Jordan - Daisy Midgeley The actress became the fifth star to leave Coronation Street in just one month. We revealed that she will bow out of the ITV soap later this year after four years on-screen. Charlotte told sources that she's hungry to see what other opportunities await. Shelley King - Yasmeen Metcalfe The actress has played Yasmeen Metcalfe on the cobbles for the past 11 years and we revealed in January that she finished filming her final scenes. This follows the departure of her on-screen partner Stu Carpenter.

The Royal Box goes A-list! William and Kate rub shoulders with Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey and tennis legends at star-studded final

After two action-packed weeks at SW19, the 2025 Wimbledon Championships come to an end this afternoon in what's set to be an action-packed men's final. And as Spain 's Carlos Alcaraz, 22, takes on Italy 's Jannik Sinner, 23, on Centre Court, a group of VIPs will have the very best seats in the house to catch the action. The Royal Box, where the biggest names in sport, showbusiness and high society are lucky enough to sit, is the place to be at the All England Club - and today sees perhaps its most star-studded line-up yet. The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, George and Charlotte, lead the royal spectators in today's box, while Hollywood greats including Nicole Kidman and Matthew McConaughey have added a sprinkling of stardom. Elsewhere, several former great tennis players have been invited to the best seats in the house. BBC commentator and former Wimbledon competitor Tim Henman nodded to the 'heavy tennis contingent' in the box today, which includes Andre Agassi and Lleyton Hewitt. Carlos Alcaraz also has some national support from King Felipe of Spain, who has turned out for the third year running to support the nation's budding tennis ace. The star-studded line up marks one of the most exciting royal box lists yet as SW19 becomes the hottest ticket in town... 1. Princess of Wales The Princess of Wales delighted Wimbledon spectators today as she watched Jannik Sinner take on Carlos Alcaraz in the men's final. It marks the second consecutive day she attended the championships, after watching Iga Swiatek thrash Amanda Anisimova in the Women's Final on Saturday. Kate, 43, beamed as she made her way through the crowd to take her place at the front row of the Royal Box, with spectators erupting into cheers. The patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club presented the trophy to Swiatek after she triumphed 6-0 6-0 against American Anisimova on Centre Court. Anisimova broke down in tears after she became the first to lose to a double bagel scoreline in the women's final at SW19 since 1911. Kate gave warm words of encouragement and consoled the American as she collected the runners-up trophy. Kate is a keen tennis player herself, and has previously been praised by Emma Raducanu for her 'incredible forehand'. 2. Prince of Wales Prince William, 43, looked sharp in a navy jacket and white trousers as he joined his wife Catherine in the Royal Box this afternoon. The heir to the throne is a keen sports fan and has a particular love of football; known for being Aston Villa-mad. The royal father-of-three has previously revealed he and his wife play tennis themselves - and that it's a sport he's never been able to trump her in. Tennis Legend Rod Laver told the Mail in 2020: 'I'd met William and Kate a few times, and in the Royal Box you get a chance to chat with them a little bit. They play tennis against each other. William told me he couldn't beat her.' 3. Prince George A keen sports fan like his parents, Prince George, 11, looked smart in his suit and tie as he took his seat in the royal box alongside his parents and sister. The future King, who will celebrate his 12th birthday in just over a week, has accompanied his father Prince William to several high profile sporting events over the years, including a thrilling match between his beloved Aston Villa and Paris Sain-Germain in the Europa League earlier this year. George has previously delighted royal fans at such events, as the image of his father while tuning in to matches; and experiencing the highs and lows of being a football fan. Tennis and football aren't the only sports in which George takes an interest; as Kate has previously revealed how she and the children play all manner of games together - including trampolining. George is the eldest of the Prince and Princess of Wales's three children and second in line to the throne. 4. Princess Charlotte Princess Charlotte, the only daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales, is known as a huge tennis fan and has watched the men's Wimbledon final with her mother in the royal box for the last three years. Charlotte, 10, has enthusiastically cheered on Carlos Alcaraz on Centre Court for every final she has attended, as a fan of the Spaniard. She donned her sunglasses and a stunning floral frock as she took her seat in the Royal Box this afternoon, next to her older brother Prince George. Princess Michael of Kent Making her second appearance in this year's royal box was 80-year-old Princess Michael of Kent. The wife of Prince Michael of Kent, she has made headlines over the years for her candid comments and aristocratic flair - earning her the nickname 'Princess Pushy'. Born Baroness Marie-Christine von Reibnitz, the princess is an author and historian by trade, with several books to her name on European royalty. Despite stepping back from official duties, she remains a striking presence at major events. Lord Frederick Windsor and Sophie Winkleman Freddie Windsor is Princess Michael of Kent's son looked dapper in a sharp suit as he watched the action on Centre Court. The royal had something of a bad boy image in his younger years, enjoying a hedonistic lifestyle and even undergoing a stint in rehab in his twenties. However he eventually settled down and married actress Sophie Winkleman - the sister of veteran broadcaster Claudia. Sophie, who is perhaps best known for her role in Peep Show, has previously joked that she barely knew any of the guests at her lavish royal wedding, which was largely put together by her mother-in-law. Today they live in Chelsea, but the couple have bounced between the United States and the United Kingdom, following her career. 5. King Felipe of Spain King Felipe of Spain turned out in the royal box to show support for Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz as he takes on Jannick Sinner. The royal father-of-two, 57, ascended the throne in 2014 after his father King Juan Carlos abdicated in disgrace. He is married to Queen Letizia, 52, whom he met when she was working as a journalist and interviewed him. Felipe's appearances in the audience on Centre Court have previously won him a legion of fans around the world over the sharp tailoring of his suits. In 2023 Derek Guy, a California-based men's fashion expert, penned a now-viral Twitter thread in which he said the Spanish monarch frequently offers a masterclass in 'perfect proportions'. 6. Andre Agassi Former professional tennis player Andre Agassi is widely regarded as one of the most successful players of all time. Now 55 Andre, originally from Las Vegas, was ranked World No. 1 for around two years during his career. With 60 ATP Tour-level singles titles to his name, Andre won his first Wimbledon title in 1992 and was also crowned champion of the French and Australian Open tournaments during his career. After being blighted by personal issues following his Wimbledon win, he dropped out of the World 100 and his ranking dropped to 141. But in an incredible comeback, he dedicated himself to training over subsequent years and reclaimed his spot as World No. 1 in 1999. He retired in 2006 after competing in the Australian Open. 7. Dame Anna Wintour For the second time this tournament, Dame Anna Wintour represented fashion royalty in the Royal Box. Vogue's Editor-in-Chief, 75, who is British but has been based in the US for several decades, exuded elegance as she took her place among the other VIP guests. Known for her iconic bob and ever-present sunglasses, Dame Anna has reigned over the fashion world for decades and remains one of its most influential tastemakers. A fixture on the front row and behind some of the industry's biggest decisions, she has been at the helm of Vogue since 1988 and now serves as Chief Content Officer at Condé Nast. Off the runway, she is a devoted tennis fan and rarely misses a Wimbledon season. 8. Nicole Kidman Nicole Kidman is one of Hollywood's finest actresses, with a string of huge acting credits under her belt. The Australian native, 58, has most recently starred in Netflix thriller series The Perfect Couple and racy drama Babygirl, in which she plays a married woman and high flying executive who has an affair with a much younger co-worker. Nicole has four children; Isabella and Connor with her first husband Tom Cruise, and Sunday Rose and Faith with her second husband, country singer Keith Urban. The actress has recently soaked up the European sun on holiday with her family and was most recently spotted seeing the sights in Dubrovnik, Croatia. She joined Dame Anna Wintour on Centre Court this afternoon, exuding elegance as ever in a sleek white suit. 9. Keira Knightley Keira Knightley is one of the UK's most recognisable actresses, after getting her big break in comedy Bend it Like Beckham in 2002 when she was just 17 years old. Now 40, the actress, from Teddington, has starred in dozens of films; from period dramas to gritty thrillers. This year she made waves in television too as she starred in Netflix spy thriller Black Doves, in which she played the wife of a cabinet minister who was living a double life in intelligence. She took her place in the royal box this afternoon with her husband, musician James Righton, whom she began dating in 2011. The pair have two children, Edie and Delilah. 10. Paul Mescal After rising to fame playing Connell in the BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney's Normal People, Paul Mescal has quickly become one of the biggest names in Hollywood. The 29-year-old actor, from Maynooth, Ireland, also became an instant heartthrob after starring in the show, which came out in 2020. He has been lauded for his acting performances in indie films like Aftersun and All of Us Strangers, but has recently begun adding big blockbusters to his name including Gladiator II. The two-time BAFTA winning actor is currently dating American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams; and the pair were recently spotted together at Glastonbury Festival. In addition to his acting career, Paul has also been credited with influencing men's fashion since he entered the public eye - in particular, very short shorts. 11. Sir Chris Hoy Sir Chris Hoy is an 11-time world champion and six-time Olympic track-cyclist champion from Scotland. In 2008, the talented father-of-two, 49, became Scotland's most successful Olympian. Hoy, born in Edinburgh, retired in 2013 before acting as a pundit and commentator for the BBC. The legendary cyclist, 49, was diagnosed with Stage four prostate cancer in September 2023 after a routine check on a shoulder strain showed a tumour, before a further scan revealed the primary cancer to be in his prostate, which had spread to his bones. In May, Chris revealed that he's 'feeling good' and has entered a 'stability stage' amid his battle with cancer. Sadiq Khan Mayor of London Sadiq Khan joined the VIPs to watch the Men's Final from the Royal Box today. The 54-year-old, wanting to make a positive change to people's lives, gave up his career in law over a decade ago to work in the world of politics. He went on to be an MP for Tooting for 11 years, where he became the first Muslim to attend cabinet as a Minister for Transport. In 2016, he successfully ran to be Mayor of London and has carried out the role ever since with the hopes of building a safer and better London. A keen spectator, Khan has been spotted at Wimbledon 's Royal Box on numerous occasions throughout the years. 12. Tim Davie Tim Davie is the current and seventeenth director general of the BBC. After going to Cambridge, he began a career in marketing before joining the BBC. In 1993 and 1994, he unsuccessfully stood as a conservative MP in the Hammersmith and Fulham elections. He then became the chief executive of BBC Studios and was made Director-General of the BBC in 2020. That same year, he set out new rules for BBC staff stating that they should withhold sharing personal views on politics on their personal social media channels. 13. Sir Richard Branson Sir Richard Branson, dressed in a smart navy suit, joined the famous faces in the Royal Box today. The business magnate from Blackheath, London, co-founded the Virgin Group in 1970 alongside Nik Powell. In 1971, Branson opened the first British discount record store. With the money raised from the shop sales, he launched Virgin Records with Powell the following year. Virgin Records' first signing was the multi-instrumentalist Mike Oldfield, whose album Tubular Bells was the third best-selling album of the 1970s. Virgin Records then went on to sign the likes of the Sex Pistols, the Rolling Stones, Paula Abdul and UB40, becoming the biggest independent music label in the world. In the '80s, Branson looked beyond music to flight, founding Virgin Atlantic in 1984 and subsequently growing the Virgin Group brand to include Virgin Active, Virgin Money, Virgin Trains, and Virgin Radio. The Virgin Group is now a multi-billion-dollar business corporation. In 1992, Branson sold Virgin Records to EMI for $656 million (£500m) and 12 years later launched Virgin Galactic. 14. Lleyton Hewitt Australian former tennis player Lleyton Hewitt was ranked as the world No. 1 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals for 80 weeks in 2001 and 2002. Now retired, the 44-year-old from Adelaide is captain of the Australian Davis Cup team and works as a tennis commentator, coach, and mentor for other players. Throughout his career, Leyton claimed 30 singles titles and three doubles titles on the ATP tour. He is a parent to three children with his wife Pip Hewitt, Mia, 19, Cruz, 16, and Ava, 14. Earlier this week, Lleyton, who won the Wimbledon title in 2002, was on Court five to support his 16-year-old son Cruz as he fell to a 6-3, 6-0 to 11th seed Oskari Paldanius. 15. Stan Smith Stan Smith is an American former professional tennis player who previously held the title of world No. 1 player. He claimed the title at Wimbledon in 1972, one year after he similarly took the top spot at the U.S. Open. The Wimbledon champion turned a global fashion icon in 1973 following the release of his eponymous trainers with Adidas, making him one of the most recognisable names in the clothing industry, with 100 million of the shoes sold. 16. Andrew Scott Irish actor Andrew Scott, 48, was spotted sitting next to fellow thespian Paul Mescal during the men's final. Andrew, who was nominated for best performance by an actor in a limited or anthology series for Netflix's Ripley earlier this year, is known for his sense of style. And today was no different - the Fleabag star looked stylish in a monochrome ensemble, wearing a pale beige two-piece suit with a matching shirt and tie. He finished off the look with a pair of sunglasses featuring rims in a similar shade of beige. Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves After enjoying the women's final at the All England Club yesterday, actor Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves returned to south west London for the final day of Wimbledon on Sunday. The Pantalones Tequila founder, 55, and the Brazilian model, 42, married in 2012, and share three children - Levi, 16, Vida, 15, and Livingston, 12. However, it appeared they left their children at home to enjoy date days together yesterday and yesterday. 17. John Lithgow John Lithgow was another of the many thespians spotted in the Royal Box in SW19 today. The 79-year-old Dexter star, who is from the US, is currently in London appearing in a play. 18. Natalie Barrows Previously described as Kate Middleton's 'right-hand woman', Natalie Barrows enjoyed a coveted spot in the Royal Box on Sunday. As with all members of the royal household Ms Barrows keeps a low profile, both on official engagements, and online. Little is known about her employment history but it is thought she started working with the Royal Family in 2017 and was first spotted on an engagement with the Duchess of Cambridge in 2018. Since then she has become a vital member of Kate's staff and is often spotted in the background of royal engagements, whether that is a hospital visit or trip to the Natural History Museum.
