Emerson Royal working towards full Milan recovery
Emerson Royal has resumed running in training and is working his way towards a return to the Milan squad.
The 26-year-old has been out of action since suffering a calf strain during the Champions League tie against Girona in late January.
According to MilanNews, the Brazilian has today started running in the sand pit again for the first time since his injury.
It is still only a stepping stone to full recovery, as the sand is less harsh on the muscles than running on grass, so his return to the pitch is still a few weeks away.

They need to climb back up the Serie A table if they are to qualify for Europe, and also face Inter in a two-legged Coppa Italia semi-final.
Former Tottenham Hotspur right-back Emerson Royal has made 26 competitive appearances for the Rossoneri so far this season.
He is widely expected to be sold this summer, having been replaced by Kyle Walker in January.

'City fans will love watching him play'

Italian football journalist Nima Tavallaey says "outstanding" new Manchester City signing Tijjani Reijnders has "incredible vision and creativity" and is a "very good signing" as the club look to rebuild after the departure of Kevin de Bruyne. The 26-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign for AC Milan, scoring 15 goals and registering five assists in all competitions before securing a £46.3m move to Pep Guardiola's side. Advertisement "I think Tijjani Reijnders is a fantastic midfielder," Tavallaey told BBC Radio Manchester. "He's a goalscoring midfielder, a very technical midfielder. "He was probably the only shining light last season in what was essentially just darkness at AC Milan. He was outstanding. "This is a very very good signing for City who are looking to rebuild after the De Bruyne era. "Reijnders is not a physical midfielder, although he can hold his own. He is technical, very dynamic, a great finisher and has incredible vision and creativity. "Given how City play and Guardiola wants to formulate his midfield, I think he will fit in just fine." Advertisement When pushed to identify weaknesses in Reijnders' game, Tavallaey added: "He's not exactly the best at tackling, he's not a ball-winning midfielder like that. "He is very good at pressing and reading the play and if he's got players around him who can help him out with ball-winning then he will really come into his own. "Aerially is not his strongest suit either but overall I think he is a very complete midfielder. He's very creative and attack-minded and I think City fans will absolutely love watching him play." Report – Inter Milan Eyeing Up Four Different Parma Players

Report – Inter Milan Eyeing Up Four Different Parma Players Inter Milan are eyeing up Parma striker Ange-Yoan Bonny, defender Giovanni Leoni, and midfielders Adrian Bernabe and Mendela Keita. This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. Advertisement These talks followed the arrival of Cristian Chivu as the new Inter coach. The Nerazzurri confirmed the 44-year-old's appointment on Monday – he had previously spent a few months on the bench at Parma. And Inter look to be ready to target some of the players Chivu worked with at Parma for their new-look team. (Photo by) It is certainly no secret that Inter Milan are keen to sign Parma striker Ange-Yoan Bonny. There's no rush for the Nerazzurri to complete a deal for the Frenchman. He will not, in any event, arrive before the Club World Cup. However, reports Tuttosport, Inter remain the club in pole position to snap up Bonny. Advertisement Meanwhile, Inter face more competition for teenage Parma defender Giovanni Leoni. Juventus and AC Milan are also very keen on the 18-year-old. However, reports Tuttosport, Leoni is Inter's top target to reinforce their backline. Then, the Turin-based newspaper continues, Inter are also eyeing up two Parma midfielders. According to Tuttosport, Belgian international Keita would be a particularly big target for the Nerazzurri if Kristjan Asllani is to leave this summer.

Familiar 3-5-2 Shape & Fresh Faces – How Cristian Chivu Will Begin To Make Changes To Inter Milan

Familiar 3-5-2 Shape & Fresh Faces – How Cristian Chivu Will Begin To Make Changes To Inter Milan Cristian Chivu will start with a familiar 3-5-2 shape at Inter Milan, but he will already be implementing new ideas with fresh faces. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Advertisement However, the Romanian is getting straight to work putting his stamp on the team. On the one hand, reports the Gazzetta, Chivu will stick with the 3-5-2 formation. At least initially. That is the shape that Inter are used to playing. They've practically played in that shape for all of the last six years under Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi. Therefore, Chivu is not going to upend that basic system right away. Chivu Prepares To Use Familiar 3-5-2 At Inter Milan – But With Fresh Faces ROME, ITALY – APRIL 28: Cristian Chivu, Head Coach of Parma Calcio, looks on prior to the Serie A match between SS Lazio and Parma at Stadio Olimpico on April 28, 2025 in Rome, Italy. (Photo by) However, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport, Cristian Chivu is already beginning to tinker with the way the team plays within the basic framework of the 3-5-2 shape. Advertisement First of all, that means the positioning and movements of the attacking midfielders in the trio. The wingbacks and the strikers will also start to link up differently. And as the Gazzetta note, the addition of new signings will enable Chivu to start putting his stamp on the team immediately. In midfield, Croatian international Petar Sucic will enter the Inter starting eleven right away at the Club World Cup. Therefore, the 21-year-old can be a perfect player for Chivu to build his new-look midfield around. Sucic, unlike most of his new teammates, has not been playing under Inzaghi for several seasons. And similarly, Luis Henrique on the right flank will give an early indication of how Inter plan to use the wingback roles under Chivu.
