Sangrur: Punjab minister and AAP state president Aman Arora on Wednesday lauded Sant Harchand Singh Longowal's commitment to peace, harmony and unity in Punjab over personal interests. To commemorate the 40th martyrdom anniversary of Sant Longowal a blood donation camp was organised by Indian Red Cross Society, district branch Sangrur, at the local grain market. Addressing the attendees at the camp, Arora said Sant Longowal sacrificed his life for communal harmony, serving as a guiding light for peace-loving individuals. He expressed sorrow over certain political parties misusing Sant Longowal's legacy for petty politics, despite his ultimate sacrifice for Punjab's unity. Arora highlighted that Longowal village, renowned as the land of 52 martyrs, holds a sacred place in Punjab's history and assured that the govt would honour this legacy. During the event, Arora donated blood alongside deputy commissioner Sandeep Rishi, other officials and local residents.
